The Boulder Pack is back with Liam's spinoff. Till a mating link do us part. That was rule #1 of the arrangement I struck up with my Alpha a few weeks after he arrived in Beaver Creek to solve a pack murder. Liam Kolane and I would have exclusive fun until my wolf clicked with its true mate or until I found a male keen on long-term, since Liam had zero interest in forever. Well what a fantastic turnaround for Boulder wolf pack alpha Liam Kolane, following his total alphaholeness in the first three books. I admit I didnt like him very much previously, so I was a teeny bit worried, however I trust Olivia Wildenstein, she certainly has a talent for writing characters that get under your skin and melt your heart....... I'm happy to say she turned my opinion on its head and I loved his story as I've loved the whole series.  This could be read as a standalone but I'd re Well what a fantastic turnaround for Boulder wolf pack alpha Liam Kolane, following his total alphaholeness in the first three books. I'm happy to say she turned my opinion on its head and I loved his story as I've loved the whole series.  This could be read as a standalone but I'd recommend reading the first three books first so you get the complete picture and feel the full impact of how far Liam has come. Liam has united several big packs into one, but it's not quite a completely happy unit yet. With fear, mistrust, hate and jealousy amongst some of the pack, emotions run high especially when a human girl is found murdered on pack territory and Liam arrives to investigate. He gets a whole lot more than he bargained for!! Fatherhood has mellowed him but his losses have scarred him.  Leadership and responsibility have matured him but I still felt Liam's pain and insecurities and although in the previous books I didn't like some of his actions, I was actually pleased his stubborn, a-hole reactions hadn't completely gone. It made his redemption feel more real and natural and not like the author had changed him into a completely different person just to make us like him. I really did like him more and more as the book progressed and was rooting for him and Nikki all the way.  They didn't make it easy for themselves despite Liams delightful son Storm's instincts. I really liked Nikki. She was feisty, strong and so caring.  What a great attitude she had despite the heartbreaking trauma she had gone through the previous 18 months. “You’re a glass half-full type of girl, huh?” “More of a, as long as I have a glass, I’m filling it type.” I loved her family unit, the Fremonts. They epitomise my love of wolf shifter loyalty, love, humour and intensity when it comes to protecting their own. The story was told all from Nikki's pov, which initially was a surprise but worked well. Honestly I'd have loved a few chapters from Liam's pov, because I'm greedy like that. I really would have loved hearing his inner dialogue and arguments with himself over his growing feelings for Nikki. However the suspense, action, smoldering chemistry, humour, angst, betrayals, twists and a host of fascinating characters kept my attention firmly glued to the pages. I love these wolves and am looking forward to what comes next. Rating 4.5 stars

🇺🇸This book was just utter perfection. It can be read as a standalone but belongs to the Boulder WolvesUniverse. Using her words, Olivia made me go from the deepest dislike of Liam to completely wanting to be his girl in a matter of pages. Must be my favorite character in this series. She held her ground against him when needed and loved him when and how needed. Without losing herself in him or become submissive. She might not be the alpha of their clan but she surely is his equal. Liam on his hand grew up and realized how very wrong he was. He repented without falling into the pathetic. I liked seeing Ness and August in this installment but I loved seeing that their relationship to Liam stayed rocky even if they respect each other and they seemed to have found a common ground. The problems of the past have not been magically resolved in APOSAS and it feels good to have consistency. Also, in APOSAS there is a while new cast whose stories I would love to read.

Nikki Freemont and her family are integral parts of the investigation which leads to an unexpected person and discovery. Along the way Nikki and Liam discover an intense attraction but agree it should all be fun and commitment free. Not only does the investigation go awry, so does the agreement between Nikki and Liam as Nikki falls for Liam and Storm. I so enjoy getting lost in Olivia's books, the world, characters and relationships just pull you right in and you really don't want to leave these people at the end of the story. The building tension between Liam and Nikki make each interaction crackle with electricity and the steamy payoffs are perfect. In addition to Nikki and Liam, I absolutely loved Lucas and all the humor and lightness he brings to the story, and Storm is just the sweetest center to all that happens around him. Loved this story and can't wait for Lark's story next!!! ARC provided by Olivia Wildenstein and Twig Publishing

What a snarky, sexy, flirty, steamy spin-off of the original OB series! I absolutely love the Fremont Family and hope each brother gets their own story so we can keep being a part of their amazing pack/family! She is strong, snarky as all get out, and has totally caught the eye of an important man while maintaining her confident focus on getting what she wants out of life! This book was a welcome return to a familiar world with new faces. When I first dove in, I was unsure that I would be able to connect with a character like I had with Ness, however Nikki won me over. But I loved seeing the character development in him. He studies before he reacts now. He understands that his priorities have shifted and has definitely risen to the challenge. Their relationship is just so dang beautiful. When they are not fighting against what they are feeling, the romance begins to bloom. They are constantly misunderstanding each other's intentions and words, which makes the confessions that much sweeter. Their vulnerability and insecurities are a refreshing change from the relationship norm. If the sparks between Nikki and Liam weren't enough, there is non-stop action and suspense packed into this book. I couldn't put it down for fear of what might happen to these beloved characters. I truly can't wait to revisit this pack and see what is in store for them. But I am overjoyed that Liam found his happy ending, it is incredibly well-deserved.

I received an ARC to review. So let me just say it’s 1:30am and I just finished! I could not put this down. I want to start with praise for Olivia, I’ve been reading her books for some time now and the more she writes the better they get. The main romance is between her and the boy we all love to hate from the first 3 books, Liam. I don’t want to spoil this obviously so I just want to say if you were not a fan of him by the end of the third book don’t worry he redeems himself and you will grow to love him again! The story is so heartwarming and it shows how we can all grow from our mistakes and reminds us we all have faults and insecurities, but we see these characters take it all in stride and learn from the past. 🖤🖤It is so good you will want to read it I promise you!

I love Olivia's writing. She always sets scenes up so well and you can never be quite sure where something is leading; She likes to throw in twists and turns!! I love, love, LOVE Liam. I think he even took August's place in my heart. The storyline is great, the characters lovable and believable. As usual, Olivia Wildenstein does not disappoint with the latest installment in The Boulder Wolves series. This one can be read as a stand alone but having read the initial trilogy is helpful just to having some background on Liam and his closest friends. Nikki is just all around amazing. She doesn’t allow anyone to treat her differently due to an injury that may have destroyed her spirit - she doesn’t even entertain the thought. Bonus points for her fiery attitude and independent streak. I loved everything about Nikki’s family - including the humor shown with the brothers/sister relationship. Those little touches just made the story even more relatable. Honestly, I wasn’t on the Liam bandwagon in the first 3 books so I went into this one with a bit of an anti Liam chip on my shoulder. While he was redeemed in my eyes in this one, there were still moments I kind of wanted to shake some sense into him - but that likely just stems from my tendency to be quite alpha myself haha! 4 solid stars for this one from me. I continue to love this entire world of the Boulder wolves and anxiously await the next.

I really liked this book and I think I liked this a bit more than first two books. I haven't read 3rd book yet but I will soon. This is Nikki's and Liam's book. Nikki is new character but we have met Liam before. I wasn't sure what to think about him on first two books but here I liked him. Also I liked Nikki and her family but Liam's son stole the show. I received a copy of the book from the author. This book was the first spin-off to the original Boulder Wolves trilogy. As such, it can be read as a standalone. I believe this was my favorite Boulder book so far. It had everything I enjoy in novels: compelling characters, action, plot twists, and romance. But in this book we can see how much he has matured and really stepped up for Storm. I fell in love with him so hard. I loved Nikki. She was one of the most genuine and truly enjoyable character I have met in a while. I appreciate that she stayed true to herself throughout the story and didn't just give in to Liam's demands. Romance written with a single POV is sometimes really hard to get into since we don't get the guy's perspective and can't "get in his head" but this one is written so masterfully I had no doubt about what Liam was really thinking. Wildenstein is a master of words. Her writing is sophisticated and enthralling. Her prose has a beautiful rhythm that lured me into the book and kept me riveted until the very end. I also really enjoyed the family component of the book and would love to read more about Nikki's family members. Each of the secondary characters have such strong personalities, they add even more life to this amazing story. I could not recommend this book more! And I cannot wait for the next spin-off in this series.

I find the cover of this book really attention grabbing and it sits really well with the covers for the rest of the Boulder Wolves Series. As soon as I had this one on my tablet, I wanted to read it. In fact, after finishing reading my previous book near midnight, I still couldn’t resist reading a chapter or two of this one! As soon as I had this one on my tablet, I wanted to read it. In fact, after finishing reading my previous book near midnight, I still couldn’t resist reading a chapter or two of this one! As soon as I read those first new chapters I knew I was hooked! I usually read at night, but I found myself reading this one whenever I got the chance, during the day too! Be warned it is addictive reading! This book starts by telling us the story of Nikki Freemont’s accident, she is on the back of her then boyfriend Grant’s motorbike and they crash into a tree. Nikki is injured so badly that she almost has to have her leg amputated which is serious enough for a human, but for a shifter that would be even worse. Nikki is left with a weak leg and living at home with her parents. Her plans to share a cabin with her brother had to be put off as she needed her parents help and support whilst they nursed her back to health. The Freemont family are close and regularly meet up and eat together. Nikki is the only girl in her family and it’s a bit of an understatement that since her accident, her parents and brothers are even more protective over her, which irritates her no end. Then the book flicks to the present day/18 months later and Nikki and Adalyn are laughing and joking, being both great friends and soon to be sisters when Adalyn marries Nash, one of Nikki’s twin brothers. Adalyn working at her grandmother’s hairdressing salon which is called “Hair Of The Wolf”. Adalyn is talking to Nikki on the phone about the girl that’s been murdered in the woods, This wolf, or shifter needs to be stopped as soon as possible! This means the Alpha Liam Kolane visits Beaver Creek earlier than his planned moving in to the new homes being built there for the rest of the merged packs, when Cassandra Morgan was defeated. As Liam’s Beta in Beaver Creek, Nate, Nikki’s eldest brother, will be closely involved in the mysterious case too. It’s as Nikki is rummaging through her handbag for her car keys. It’s whilst in this state of disarray that Niki sets her eyes on an attractive male she hasn’t seen before, it is Liam Kolane, though she doesn’t recognise him as her Alpha, as she has never seen Liam before. When he became Alpha, she was in hospital. Nikki certainly likes the look of him and then see’s the baby carrier with the cute baby in it, and kind of shrugs her shoulders and doesn’t give Liam much thought other than she knows this good-looking male is “shifter” other than she will ask her brothers who he is later at dinner. In fact, that night at dinner, Nikki is describing the shifter she saw to Nate as a possible “rogue wolf” that could have killed the girl in the woods, when the doorbell rings. Which is unusual, because in Beaver Creek, no one rung the doorbell. Nikki is certainly shocked to see Liam and becomes even more mortified when he reveals he has heard her describing him as a possible murderer to her brother, his Beta, Nate! As the Freemont’s usually eat together it is no surprise that Liam is brought into their home. Meg Freemont is immediately besotted with Liam’s baby son, Storm, and volunteers to help care for the baby when the Alpha is busy. The instant interest and attraction Nikki felt for Liam returns as now she knows who he is, she knows his story that his baby boy, Storm’s mother was human and died in childbirth. Nikki is quite besotted, but is looking for a true mate relationship like that of her parents. Unfortunately for Nikki Liam doesn’t want commitment, he doesn’t believe he will ever have a true mate. They keep their attraction secret, even when it develops into what Nikki would call a relationship, Liam insists it’s just hooking up they don’t tell anyone, though it’s clear to see to some of the others around them what is happening. I could go on and on about this book, but of course I don’t want to reveal anything too spoiler-esque. This book has so much going on! There’s the serious investigation into who/what is biting/killing people, then the girly friendships with Nikki, Adalyn and Bea. Then there’s the caring family stuff and humour of Nikki’s nickname that her family call her, pinecone, and how she earnt it. Nikki also earns the nickname Knick-knack from Lucas when he comes over to Beaver Creek to help with the “girl in the woods” caseEach of the Freemont brothers have their own individual personalities, issues, relationship and problems. There’s the “is it a relationship”, or “is it a hook up” between Nikki and Liam. Nikki and Liam both have pasts, and scars they are dealing with as well as the complication of Storm. Storm has to be one of my favourite characters, he is such a pleasant baby. I find it funny when you read the baby/cub type interactions. Like all adorable babies, Storm soon has everyone wrapped round his little finger. Nikki, tries her very best not to become too attached and is heart broken when she is accused of coaching Storm into calling her mum! Liam has some difficult decisions to make both for himself and for his newly combined pack. You see a very mature, caring version of Liam, but you also see an insecure man trying to prevent himself and his son from being hurt. My immediate thoughts upon finishing this book were that I had been sat at the edge of my seat quite a few times. I read well past midnight twice and even did some day time reading with this book....and .....I love, love, loved it! Though it has made me want much more! Boulder Wolves.....Oooo I've had a thought about Lark....and Storm.....can't wait for more!! I knew I had missed the Boulder Wolves but hadn't quite realised how much! Summing up A Pack Of Storm And Stars has a fantastic mix of mystery, drama, sadness, betrayal, death, romance and danger all rolled into another amazing instalment in the brilliant Boulder Wolves Series.

Dang it, Olivia! I thought for sure I was going to continue my dislike of Liam Kolane, I thought he was gonna be the same jerk from before and now I'm a goner. I actually like Liam now, sure he isn't my favorite guy, but I actually like him and that is coming a long way for me. I loved Liam's and Nikki's story, filled with family, pack, drama, steam, and mystery in only a way that Olivia can bring together a story. I never knew I wanted, let alone needed, this story as much as I did. A Pack of St Dang it, Olivia! A Pack of Storms and Stars is the fourth book in the Boulder Wolves series and while the story follows a new female lead it centers on the pack we once knew, on characters that we have gotten to know and added in characters that we've only gotten a glimpse at before. Somehow miraculously APoSaS is a great continuation of the pack lives, bringing in a new face a fresh story but somehow is very much connect to the previous series and it's done in such a fabulous way. The story follows the point of view of Nicole "Nikki" Freemont whose family readers were first introduced to in the earlier books in the series. Nikki is a digital artist (which I love, by the way) who has a fantastic family, four brothers and two parents who love and support her, great friends, a great pack (formally the Aspen wolves) but also had a bit of trouble in the past. However, stubborn Nikki doesn't let the past stop her, she is healing, has a job that she loves, and is surrounded by family. Nikki has a very optimistic look at life and while I believe that she is a little naive (kinda annoying) about people and their behavior she is overall a good character. I liked her a lot in the beginning but kinda liked her a little less towards the end. I don't dislike her but her refusal of who certain people are annoyed me to no end. However, I do love how resilient she is and that she recognizes a lot of the time when she isn't necessarily making a good decision. Enter Liam Kolane. It's been eighteen months since the events in a Pack of Love and Hate and Liam has changed a lot. Due to everything that happened in the end, Liam is now the combined packs' alpha and everyone is now Boulder wolves and he has a son who is the most adorable baby ever. The original Boulder wolves are relocating to the old Aspen/Creek pack land and Liam has come to oversee things when he meets Nikki in a very unusual way. There is instant attraction and a complicated relationship ensues, with Nikki being so sweet and Liam having relationship issues. While Liam has grown a lot and I like him now he still had his moments where he was a jerk, but those were few and far between. Nikki is good for Liam, good for his son, and while she may be young she will grow into who she is meant to be and change Liam for the better. This story was freaking genius. Somehow while everything is new, changed, and slightly older, everything is still very much connected. Strong female leads, stubborn male wolves, fun wolfy times, heartfelt pack, and family moments with a fair amount of drama from a bunch of people but also the story goes back to events in the past to create all-new issues that are unique and very interesting. The mystery behind what's going on was compelling and while I found some of it coming the rest was very interesting, especially seeing how everything came about. Two of my favorite aspects of the story were the sense of family with the Freemonts. They are a very tight-knit family who not only get along but are very involved in each other lives, in a good way. They have a healthy familial relationship, they support, comfort, care and worry about each other which is something not usually seen in paranormal families. The other thing I love the most was seeing all the previous characters integrated into the story. Sure the original Boulder wolves weren't the center of the story but seeing them all throughout the story, learning what has happened to them since the other books, and seeing what they are currently like was fantastic. Lucas, Liam's best friend in the original three, has a nice size part in the book, and to see him and how he's changed, how he also the same in some of the best ways was fantastic. A lot happened in A Pack of Storm and Stars, Olivia really has done an excellent job on this book (no surprise there) but I can tell she isn't done with this wolf pack yet and I am happily looking forward to more of the Boulder Wolves.

This is a spin-off standalone from the Boulder Wolves series. Well this was my first Shifter Romance and I absolutely loved it.  Nikki is the youngest, she has four older brothers. Well this was my first Shifter Romance and I absolutely loved it.  Nikki is the youngest, she has four older brothers. She's a warewolf. She is a member of the Boulder Wolves Pack. After her gruesome accident, because of her wounded leg she is treated like someone who always needs help. Shs hates that her leg sometimes weighs her down and becomes a hindrance but that doesn't stop her from wanting to do something for her pack, wanting to help and she does. This attitude of hers makes her stand out even more. I love how she's always ready to push forward and knows when to back out. She is a strong character, she loves easily and is loved fiercely and she defends and protects the ones she cares about.  Liam is the new Alpha of the pack. He came to Beaver Creek to investigate a series of murders caused by a rogue half wolf. He has a pretty hard shell on the outside but on the inside he's a big softie. Even being a bit rough around the edges he manages to show a lot of emotions and sentiments but only when he's around his people. His emotions show a lot more prominently when he's either around Nikki or his son, Storm. Yes he has a son. A little, adorable, speedy bundle of joy.  Nikki and Liam's first meet was quite funny and their attraction was electric from the beginning. They came closer because of Storm. Storm, a nine month old baby, playing cupid for them was absolutely perfect. Even when they weren't officially dating they had strong feelings for each other. Liam behaving all possessive and alphaholeish was so great. (I was literally talking at the book "keep saying it's all physical and that you are not emotionally attached *cough* Liam *cough*"). Almost everyone knew that they would be good together, even Storm knew they were meant to be together.  I absolutely loved how close Nikki and her family are. They are kind of like a pack of their own. They are so pure. The way her family calls her Pinecone is just adorable. That single word is filled with love. Every single member of her family is very protective of her because of her accident and of course because she's the youngest too. They would hurt anyone who hurts her. I was awed when her brother threatened their Alpha that they would hurt him if he hurt Nikki, when they found out they were together.  This book wasn't just a romance book. It had mystery, it had action, it had family love, friends love, mutiny, betrayal. It is packed. The writing is straight forward, the flow is easy with the ups and downs of the plot twists. One mistake that I did was that I read this book before reading the Boulder Wolves series. You can still read this book as a standalone, I really enjoyed it but there were instances like Liam's back story, little more knowledge about how the wolve's magic worked here the story would've turned out to be so different if I had read the series first. Right now while I'm reading the series I can connect a lot of things to here and the fact that I kind of have spoiled myself a bit. So my advice is to read the series first then read this book.  I had a lot of fun reading this book however the last fight fell short for me. As the story progressed my expectations for the ending got higher; the ending was really satisfying, no doubt it was just the last fight. I loved how it showed how strong Nikki is, she had a really great development by the end of the book. It was just that I was expecting a full on wolf fight, bit more teeth. I don't know if that makes sense but anyhow overall this spin off is absolutely amazing and really fetching.  I immensely thank Olivia Wildenstein for giving me the ARC.

It’s been a while since I’ve read really good book. It made the whole experience incredible but at the same time it made me sad that it was over so soon. I was transported into the story and Liam’s and Nikki’s lives from the get go. Partly because I had anticipated seeing Liam again and wondering how his character could become more likable after his less ideal choices from previous books. Mostly though I really liked the setup with Nikki and her family, her accident and her awkwardness and attraction towards her new alpha. Plus, we can’t forget cute little Storm giving the story some seriously wholesome and adorable moments, both in plot and the shaky relationship between Liam and Nikki. A relationship starting tense and rocky or hits that point later on is one of my favorites because of the drama and depth it brings to characters and romance. This book and plot did so flawlessly and excellently. It drew me in like a sponge and did not let go. It was such a natural way for the story as well, considering Liam’s past and issues, as well as Nikkis almost polar opposite outlook and personality. It also built for a much stronger connection between the two and made me almost fully forgive Liam for his past transgressions and less likable flaws. Although a very rich and intense plot, I had some issues that I recognize from previous books, that being that not everything is enclosed, or rather left in the air. Some of Liams past issues, the mother of his child, being one of them. She was mentioned, sure, but very little about her and Liam was said other than that it did not work out. Why? Did he love her at some point or was that what broke the camels back? I would have liked some more information about it to really give some light to what happened before everything that transpired between this and previous book. And not only between them, but also the bigger issue I had from the whole Bea, Nate and Lori situation, especially since it was a major conflict in the plot. Was there an overlap between the two women? How did Nate feel towards Lori and so on? It was left very open ended. We can’t forget Lucas and Sarah either. I was under the impression that they would get their own story and book, but it seems like that’s not the case anymore since everything between them already happened (or maybe I’m mistaken and they were never supposed to get their own book). Don’t get me wrong, I voted for them from the beginning and love what I learned and saw of them in this book. I’m just disappointed that I did not get to witness it since I just loved how the clashed from the beginning. I’m also not a super big fan of how two other characters stole their wind in the ending with their own, albeit very happy, announcements. But that’s a whole other issue that I wont get into because of spoilers. All in all though my complaints are really minor, almost nonexistent in fact, compared to everything I absolutely loved in A Pack of Storms and Stars. The romance, the conflict, the spectrum of all different characters; I was hooked before I even knew what was happening and the only real disappointment I ever felt was that it was over. Exactly what a five star story should be. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What’s hotter than a guy holding a baby? A guy holding a feminine hygiene product. Okay, so maybe that doesn’t sound hot, but it was the first laugh out loud, spit out a mouthful of tea moment in a book that sent me careening on a rollercoaster of feels from the opening pages. And let’s be real: Liam is appealing regardless of what attitude he’s sporting (or how many boxes of condoms he’s hoarding). And let’s be real: Liam is appealing regardless of what attitude he’s sporting (or how many boxes of condoms he’s hoarding). This fourth installment in the Boulder Pack series takes place far from Boulder in the 1,000 -wolf territory of the pack Liam absorbed when he (and Ness) killed Cassandra Morgan. He’s in the process of moving his small Boulder pack to merge with the former Creeks and is not fully embraced by some members of his new pack. When humans start turning up as half-shifters (not a good thing) Liam and Lucas arrive to solve the mystery. As is typical of Ms. Wildenstein’s stories, her secondary characters are fabulous (the good ones and the nasty ones). In this book, Lucas is a scene-stealer, and his scenes with Nikki are among my favorites. Liam has had a year or so to grow into his role as alpha and much less than that to grow up when he became a single dad. He is controlling and considerate, dismissive and nurturing, confident and vulnerable. He’s unwaveringly loyal and committed to his pack’s welfare. And as a dad, he’s just heart-melting. He has his alphahole moments because he’s, well he’s Liam, but I really liked him. I didn’t throw my e-reader which I did with the previous two books. Not once. Nikki Freemont is just nineteen. She’s strong-willed, passionate, sassy, loving, intensely loyal and doesn’t hesitate to say what’s on her mind. She’s still healing from a crippling motorcycle accident and is up against parents (and brothers) who are overprotective because of that and let’s face it: four older brothers pretty much guarantee a life of smothering and teasing. Two tropes common to the genre are abandoned: first, our heroine isn’t a “yes, I swear I’m ready” virgin. Nikki is totally in control of her sexuality, with alternating moments of exploding lustful hormones and awakening ovaries. She is also a member of a family – two parents and four older brothers. This is a rare and refreshing find in the genre. In most cases at least one parent is dead, and the MC is sibling-less. Nikki struggles to be treated as a grown-up sister who is fully capable of doing what her brothers can do. She has moments of classic teen angst and awkwardness that are endearing, and I found myself cringing for her even as I laughed. I love her varied interactions with Liam, who often doesn’t seem to know what to do with her. She’s also fighting gender norms that have her sidelined as babysitter rather than bad guy hunter. For a while. One of Nikki’s brothers is a pack beta, which brings Liam and his son into her home. Often. Her mom offers to be childcare provider while Liam is engaged with pack business, and delegates much of Storm’s care to Nikki. Nikki quickly goes from “how do I hold this creature” to nurturing playmate, her heart tangled with both Kolane men. While motherhood isn’t on her radar screen, finding a true mate is. Liam feels the weight of his pack and paternal responsibilities and isn’t interested in a relationship. They settle on friends with benefits in their enemies to lovers journey. Yes, there’s heat. Yes, there’s an HEA, no there isn’t a cliffhanger, nor is there a love triangle. Loved this book and read it in a day, with a grudgingly taken two-hour break because my parents said I had to eat.

While this is Liam’s spin off, it’s interestingly told from the perspective of Nikki, the wolf shifter who captures his attentions. Nikki is part of the Beaver Creek pack Liam became Alpha over after defeating their alpha in a challenge she made (the original trilogy). Events from the main series painted Liam in a strained light, often acting possessive and being a flat out jerk to Ness, but he was an interesting character, and I was excited to get to see more of him in this book, which didn’t disappoint. A couple years after the events of the trilogy, Liam is in Beaver Creek to help investigate a seemingly wolf shifter related death on pack territory. Nikki is part of Liam’s beta’s family, a very tight knit group of wolf shifters, of which Nikki is the only sister, with four brothers and very loving, caring parents. We learn quickly that Liam is a single dad to Storm, Tamara having died during childbirth, and Nikki’s mom is only too happy to help care for Storm while Liam is handling the pack’s needs. Liam is clearly a very loving father, he is also very closed off and private, we don’t get a lot of peeks into his life until Nikki finds herself drawn closer and closer to him. The relationship Nikki develops with Storm is also very sweet, and he’s an adorable addition to the story. But Liam isn’t looking for love, he’s been burned to many times, and while Nikki is attracted to him, she is constantly telling herself what a bad idea it is to want him. As they approach the mating ceremony for one of Nikki’s brothers and her best friend, a time when mating bonds often snap into place for shifters, Nikki is fighting her attraction knowing that her true mate could be revealed to her then, and she would need to be ready for that. But their attraction is too much to deny, and Liam and Nikki go all in on a no strings attached fling, while they both secretly fall for each other. The underlying mystery keeps their story moving, and introduces interactions with Nikki’s ex-boyfriend, who is essentially a complete jerk, as well as a few other pack members who are close with Nikki and her family. There is a stark contrast in the story between Nikki’s very tight knit, loving family, and Liam’s seeming lack of family (until she meets the OB group from the trilogy - clearly Liam’s chosen family). And residual issues from a serious motorcycle accident keep Nikki on the sidelines and add to some of her insecurities when interacting with others, especially Liam, to prove she is still capable of helping in difficult situations. They clash regularly, but their passion only ignites things between them further. We get a good dose of Lucas in this book as well, as Liam’s beta from Boulder. And boy is it fun to have him around! He is definitely a sense of comic relief, and I love that his penchant for nicknames and teasing is still strong as ever in this book. Having him as an additional anchor from the original trilogy is a nice touch, that keeps the stories tied together, especially when we do eventually get to meet up with that Original Boulder group again later in the book. Nikki and Liam really are good for each other in many ways. And of course, those around them see it way before they are willing to admit it to either themselves or each other. This story of their relationship is sweet, emotional, intense, and passionate. It was really good to see Liam get his happy ending, and I’m looking forward to the next generation!

I read the trilogy in anticipation of this novel and this novel is just, wow! I have said this time and time again but Olivia Wildenstein is a master with her words and plotlines and it is clearly shown in this standalone. I was hooked the moment I read the first word, the moment when Nikki and her family were introduced, the moment when Liam and Storm were introduced. Basically, this entire book had me hooked to the point that I couldn't put it down because my eyes were glued to the pages. My favorite thing about this novel was that Olivia introduced us to such a strong family with such a tender and loving family bond that had me wishing that I could meet Nikki's family in person. I loved the family dynamics going on and how Nikki's family, especially her brothers, made her be a stronger person with personality to be reckoned with. Nikki is just such a fantastic character that I can totally see why Storm would love her! What can I say about Liam? I hated but understood why Liam acted the way he did during The Boulder Wolves trilogy and I respected how Olivia didn't write a redemption arc for him in the trilogy. However, I was a bit more excited to read about Liam in this book, even if I didn't like his character, because I wanted to see how having a child, Storm, and being an Alpha for 3 separate packs being combined into 1 massive pack would affect his personality and his actions. I'm glad to say that this book totally changed my dislike for this man and instead has me loving him instead. It was a well-written redemption arc in this novel and I just loved seeing how being an Alpha has turned Liam into a stronger man but being a father has helped him become a better man. And then we have Storm! I loved this baby since the first page he was introduced to and I loved him till the end. If Olivia comes out with a 500 page novel about Storm as a toddler, I will gladly devour that book because this kid is just a huge cuteness overload! I enjoyed reading how he was the link tying Nikki and Liam together and unknowingly he brought happiness back into his father's life. I just adore this child soooo much! Overall, this is a pretty amazing and well-written spin-off about Liam and Nikki. I got to see previous characters that I adored in the original trilogy and see how their lives had progressed during this novel. Both Liam and Nikki truly compliment each other and help each other be the best version each can be. Absolutely adored this spin-off and I seriously can not wait to see what else Olivia has in store for us!

“A Pack of Storms and Stars”, the fourth instalment in “The Boulder Wolves” by Olivia Wildenstein, opens a new chapter in this YA/NA urban fantasy paranormal werewolves romance series, which centers in the character of Liam and his path to happiness, after the already completed first “Boulder Wolves Trilogy”. Those acquainted with the previous three books in the series (which narrates Ness epic journey and her return to the Boulder Pack after her six years exile), have already learn to love, to hate, to love to hate and to fall for Liam, thus it comes as not surprise that this (at times) insufferable charming Alpha get his own story to tell, and when I say his story, I mean ‘his whole story’ because it is much more to Liam that it caught the eye! The story takes place a couple of years after the events related in the first trilogy, and can, without any downside, be read as an introduction to the series…you can always pick the first three books later, strike that… you will have to pick the first three books later, because you don’t want to miss any single page on Olivia Wildenstein’s series, just trust me! Whether you are already acquainted with Liam or you meet him now, he is a character you will not easily forget 😉 Liam is a multifaceted character, whose path to happiness seems paved with struggle. He has been burned by love one to many times to no run scared every time that ‘love’ does a much as ‘insinuate’ itself on the horizon. And after all he has Storm (adorable!), the one and only love he’ll ever need…. unless…. he is fully mistaken and…. the rest is for you to find out, by reading the story 😉 and should you care for someone still available….and then there is also Lucas, the kind of great friend who can diffuse every situation with a dose of (sometimes unintended) humor, and from whom we hopefully will learn a lot more in the future 😊 Olivia Wildenstein has done it again! Telling an interesting, heart-felt story, with well-crafted, multidimensional characters, set in a credible urban fantasy world, that blends paranormal romance tropes with some mystery in a fast-paced, action-packed plot with balanced mix between character development and storytelling. A must read for all fans of the genre and those looking to be introduced to good, solid werewolf paranormal fantasy.

Everything you wanted in the next installment of this series! Although this is book 4 in the series, it is a stand alone, however, reading the original trilogy will help with characters, and background story I feel is needed to read this book and future ones. I like how she called Liam out on his BS and didn't settle for less than she deserved. I started out loving Liam, then hating him and being VERY disappointed in his behavior and how he was treating Ness. I liked August, but was pulling for Liam to come to his senses and redeem himself. Although, by the end of 3rd book, I was totally ok with August and Ness. I am happy with how it all turned out, because this book with Nikki - she is exactly what Liam needed. I saw Liam start to realize his mistakes and behavior at the end of Book 3 were not ok. I hoped he would mature into book 4. He carries some of that bad-boy persona into this book. We hope after having his son and the losses he's had to deal with will help him to mature. Although he does show more maturity in the ALPHA front - basically, his job, he is still immature when it comes to relationships. Granted, I don't think he was expecting what he got from Nikki.  She's a tough cookie. I'm so glad Nikki showed him the light, woke him up and without spoilers - basically, came to his senses. The fact that a choice was made - made me cry. Nikki's family was the BEST!  The dynamic, support, love and unwavering devotion to each other was so refreshing!  We didn't see much of that in the original trilogy. Neither Ness nor Liam had a large, tight family unit to rely on, and I think this is EXACTLY what Liam needs for he and his son. Storm, was totally adorable!  I just wanted to pick him up and play with him all day myself!  I can't wait to see how he turns out for future books! Having some old characters come back was very nostalgic. I want to go back and re-read the trilogy now! Lucas was AMAZING!  I just LOVE him. And cameos from Ness and others were a perfect little 'sprinkle' to continue the story line.  I didn't want this one to end. When I got to the last page, I was so disappointed it was finished. I'm looking forward to how the pack moves forward and how the relationships develop.

The way they met...i can say Nikki is hot on my heels to claim my championship belt for "most awkward first meeting with a crush" 😄😄😄 From the previous books i have love/hate relationship with Liam, but in this book i can say i warmed up to him more , especially toward the last part of the book as you see another side of him uncover and more of his emotions slip through the wall he built around himself. I loved seeing Lucas in this book,as he is more like me and lacks censorship on his mouth and always makes things ,either awkward or straight up hilarious to the point of tears😄❤ Also the bond in Nikki's family was something special and heartwarming, all the support they bring to each other trough think and thin, yeah sometimes in your face too much but always there in need. I've said it before, Olivia's writing style is my favorite and makes me feel like home....i think is the best to describe it ,because it doesn't feel like reading, but more like im living in the story with all it's emotions and atmosphere. I absolutely loved this story and i desperately wished that there would be more of Liam and Nikki 😄😄😄❤❤❤❤ but Lark's story that will be in the fifth book is also alluring....can't wait to see what Lucas will come up with😄😄😄😄😄
