This book was an excellent ending to the Horned One saga. The story moved at a good pace and we were taken further into the evil goals of Connor Blackman and the cultists. Over and above the Sorcerers and Warlords, we were introduced to the Paladins with a memorable and charming character named Marie-Belle. When things got rough it was enjoyable to watch Jen and Marie-Belle team up to fight off some of the nastier monsters that come from the haunted lands. Another Enjoyable Read As I mentioned in my earlier review, the created universe works and is believable. And, as I wrote before, the issue that keeps this from the fifth star is still editing and proofreading. In this book there were too many incorrectly used or spelled words, and some continuity, subject/verb agreement, and verb tense issues. Still, I would read another book by this author.

Like a well done steak While some of the characters are somewhat stereotypical in that good is good and evil is evil, the author does a good job making the story enjoyable with an interesting plot and world. If you're looking for a classic good vs evil this series is perfect, even if it's nothing extraordinary. It can be related to a well done steak, in that you know what your getting and you can enjoy every last bite until the end. This book is about the young man who was trained to be a warlord but finds out the he's a powerful wizard instead . This series covers his training and his apprenticeship . Another great series by this Author I really love your how you write your main characters their always likeable and relatable . This was a great story with characters that you'll love of hate with far away lands and of course magic . A very good series. I liked the idea of an underdog character who fails in one discipline but is something special in another. I recommend this entire series.

A great series of heartfelt moments Remember that overpowered protagonist that belonged more to an anime series than an epic fantasy? This time he's been undercut by his enemies. Unlike the previous books where Damien does everything everyone couldn't do, in this befitting end of his story, we get to see how the other characters could shine on their own. In fact, we didn't get to see much of Damien until he dropped the nuke. We need more stories like this. Awesome ending This was a good ending. It made me tear up in certain places. Especially the ending made me tear up. I will be reading more by this author. It seemed shorter than the other books. If I could I would only give it 4.5 stars. It only took me two and a half hours to read it.

Simple story but we'll told! Many books drown in their own complexity but this series keeps it simple. That doesn't stop the author from weaving a wonderful story full of adventure. To the point fantasy Good finale in the style of the previous books. Succinct and to the point, without much detail in places but satisfying nonetheless.
