Opening the story Ok now this is like a list of characters. And each chapter takes you into their lives, building each one carefully though chapters. We have about 6-7 characters but not all are intertwined —-yet. There is court intrigue, the poor, the knights, the servant, and a girl from all of their past. So rich. You would think that it would be disjointed. Many plot lines to be resolved As a middle book of a series there is much that we need to learn about the characters. A few minor characters have their own stories which in some way will be connected to the major plot in due time. I will keep reading the series.
