I NEVER would have known about this book, but a friend who was staying in New Zealand met the author at a B&B and he gave her a signed copy. She knew I was planning a trip to Tibet, so she handed it over to me to read even before she read it. I enjoyed the logistics of his journey to walk/hike a pilgrimage around the Kailas in Tibet. Along his way he meets a list of interesting characters and a sweet dog. Bus drivers, truck drivers, and other travelers add to his tale. My trip is not going to be like the author's, but I admire his tenacity to explore and finish his goal, even though there were many times, it just seemed easier to turn back. I really enjoyed this book. Highly Recommend.
