Heart Broken Musings: Rants Poems Quotes is a collection of 50 short poems about every day to day topic and explores various aspects of life including, parents and child relationship, bond between friends, the good, bad and ugly of a relationship between lovers, the loss and pain of the said relationship and other different social topics. However, what set this book apart is the funny and sarcastic explanation made by the author in the footnote. I thought it was a really unique approach. I know, poetry is all about finding your own meaning in the words but the footnotes made sure that whatever the author is trying to convey reaches its readers. And sometimes we just need that, sometimes we need to read things which are relatable and eye-opening. These poems and the author's perspective certainly made sure of that. The poems in itself are deeply moving and are written in a most subtle and lucid way without getting too heavy or preachy. Some of them are even thought-provoking and most of them are so congenial and pleasant. I really enjoyed the poems based around the parent-child bond/ expectations and the one where the author condemns suicide. The only drawback of this book is it gets a little too biased in the chapters with themes of love with one gender getting the upper hand and more say. That said, I really enjoyed reading this book a lot more than I expected and if you are someone, who is looking for an inspiring, relatable and fun stuff to read, pick this up. You will laugh out loud but this book will also make you think and will certainly motivate you. P.S- The cover of this book is extremely gorgeous! Review copy received from Author, in exchange for my honest opinion.

My Opinion : Have you ever read motivational advice in complete different form? Yes ! It was my first attempt to read something out of line but I enjoyed this florilegium of rant , quotes and poems. Author had penned his own life experiences and observations with splash of sarcasm and in jolly way. Book provides the motivational suggestions to open out over unrelenting issues of society and suggest not only to cope with it but gift us the way to combat them. These rant plow and discourse varied adversities of our life like love, relationship, struggle, cheating and many more. What I applaud most is rant on women issues that talk about challenges faced by girls on daily basis. Opinions are expressed in satirical way that makes me laugh but hit hard too. This book highlights the complicated life and society issues with simplicity. No wonder writing is deep and you can relate yourself with these rant. It will teach you numerous life lessons. Let's talk about writing skill : Writing is creative and flow of rant is like a poetry. It is fast paced yet smooth. The poems are bold imagery expressed in distinct and careful way. I love them.Narration is sharp and lustrous. Few quotations and poems moved me, so I'm sharing most favourite of mine hope it will not consider as spoiler. ❝Forgetting the past is never easy, neither is creating a future. Well, I started reading this book a few days after it arrived because of some personal problems. And I finished it in just one day. But before reviewing the book, I would like to tell about its majestic cover. According to me, it is one of the finest and deepest cover art I have yet seen so far. Perhaps, the book is deep itself. But at some points, the author should've taken a girl's prospective as equally as that of guys. But that's exceptional. The poems are really touching and deep.

This book is a compilation of 51 chapters filled with quotes, poems and prose. I spent a nice evening with it and my cuppa of coffee, snuggled in my comforter. It isn’t a very big or heavy read. It talks about life and love but doesn’t get too heavy handed with it. I like the flow of the chapters and the letters to my parents/bff were really good. Wasn’t very convinced with the love bits though. But I like the way the author doesn’t just pen down poems but also writes a short prose with it explaining his perspective and state of mind. I like that extra insight into the author’s head. My rating is 3.5🌟/5 . Thankfully it wasn’t as per my expectations as I am not much into rants and poems in general but the author, Raunak does make you sit and think for a bit. It is what I would tell my best friend or what will be told to me. Just everyday life thoughts ~ penned down beautifully.

What I loved about the book is obviously the writing but also the way the author teaches us how to face life. One can relate oneself with the writings. So I think if you are depressed then please go grab a copy of this book and start reading. You will fill better. P. S: Do you believe in Unicorns? ( Let me tell you, the author does)

This book won't promise you sleep. Rather, it would leave you up the rest of the night, contemplating. Thinking over things you once locked away somewhere in your heart That's what it's all about- letting out what's in there, hidden. The book has poems around topics that seem personally close to the author. Not just that, the book also has a prose along with poems, to explain to you the state of mind & intend of heart behind them The idea of bringing its readers on the same page, bringing us all to understand as and how things were meant, is unique & exciting However, a little scope for personalised interpretation could have done good About the title? The title describes the book the best it could. That's some justice done Also, the pages inside have everything you & me have thought of, at least at some point of our life. That's both a plus point & minus, about the book. The rants bring familiarity with them, but fail to give you something unique, something anyone expects when they pick up a book Another thing that really made it hard for me was the language. The prose are penned down more like causal conversations rather than blogs or narrations or articles. They truly are rants. Which is a good thing if you're new to reading & third person, professional accounts/narrations don't suit you. You won't feel at a loss, that's for sure But for an avid reader, the book seems to be a little unstructured & could have been better arranged Thankyou @therougenation for introducing me to the author. This sure was an experience in itself The book overall is a good, light, quick read A 3 on 5. Hope you find inspiration in his words like I did. Rants are interesting, some double meaning and some on really serious issues from love to social evils to the ray of hope. It is a great combination of little stories! Each quotes tugs at your heartstrings. It's a book that you can revisit multiple times and every time it will leave you with many many feels. Makes for a lovely gift - for yourself and for others. This book made itself a hit in the social media scenario by addressing itself to an audience with short attention spans and asking for people to submit to the one. The most outstanding quotes and rants have now been collated and translated from their digital platform into book form. I read this book in under 4 hours and kept flipping pages and reading the quotes and enjoying them. If you are already hooked to these rants or quotes then you will enjoy this book immensely. It is a collection of some of the best stories from social sites. I think this book works wonderfully as a coffee table book, even though it isn't traditionally a coffee table book. It's great to leave it out on your coffee table and flip through it while sipping a cup of coffee or tea. Read a few stories now and again. The things I didn’t like The only con I can think of is that some of the lines or words repeated several times throughout the anthology and I wish i hard heard newer words rather than “Hoomans” as Human. Rating: 4/5 A quick and easy and a fun read. I highly, highly recommend it.

“Why are more people not talking about this? I mean.. this book is everything anybody needs to read…all the life lessons are right here.. splayed out like a platter.. The chapters which dealt with life in general were freaking amazing! I loved the casual and apologetically truthful tone of the book. I could almost hear Lilly Singh aka ||Superwoman|| saying all the lines.. This is stuff somebody really needs to tell you! And she being a Bawse does that perfectly! 😉 Also, the unicorn reference had me thinking of Lilly again and again! 😛 This is all stuff that your best friend will tell you.. to cut the crap and get on your two legs before anybody kicks you into getting your life on track! But then the quality dipped with the romance chapters and sadly that charm never came back. Don’t get me wrong.. it wasn’t bad anywhere, it was just not that brilliant any more. I guess.. friends don’t give such good love advice anyways.. yeah.. that’s what must have caused this :P.. In the first 10-12 chapters I was so much in love with the book that it was a real disappointment in the upcoming chapters. Later it picked up and chapters were good but the flow had broken and so had my heart! 😦 “Heart Broken Musings” had so much potential with an amazing concept where the poet just doesn’t write the poem but goes a step further and tells you what exactly he wants to say and which reflection led to him writing that particular piece. I really enjoyed reading a book in this format! Looking forward to the volume 2.. 😀 Recommended to anyone who is looking for a light, fun take on life lessons in a short amount of time.. it is just over a 100 pages! 🙂 Check out https://livinginfictionsite.wordpress... for more such reviews!

You do not have to be an ardent poetry lover to enjoy these. They are light and make for a breezy read. 🦄 What I did not like: To me poetry is the most mysterious form of writing. It comes with many layers and is open to a lot of introspection. But the Author has already pointed out that he does not want people to over analyse his work. Take the blue sky as the blue sky and not dwell too much into it's meaning. Hence there is an explanation after every poem. That's something that I did not enjoy at all. I would've preferred to draw my own conclusions instead of my thoughts being guided. The writing needs some polishing too. The style is too casual with the use of a "talking style" kinda narrative. Again- something that I don't enjoy. I prefer the good old basic English with the basic grammar and words in place (call me old fashioned if you will) Overall, a quick read this one. Makes for a good read if you want to enjoy short, not so intense attempts at poetry 😊

To be very honest, this is the first time I totally enjoyed poetry. Now this book isn't entirely poetry. It is exactly what the name says: a collection of Rants, Poems and Musings. Now this wisdom isn't some out of the world wisdom that is hard to understand. It is something we all are aware of but need someone to tell us point blank on face! Btw do you know why Unicorns are never wrong?? And why they are so wise (not to mention so utterly beautiful that you want them to take them home and keep them with you forever?!) The horn of the unicorns symbolises truth and has the power to pierce the chest of those who even attempts to lie! (Well, now you know!) Coming back to the book, the author has ranted on various topics ranging from death, love, friendships, heartbreaks, cheating and relationships with parents. However these Rants are not something that would make you say "Cut the crap" but would instead make you say "Oh, yes. Thank you for saying that!". Some are eye-opener, some would make you smile and some would make you think! I would say, if you have half an hour to spare, pick up this book and read it! Well, thank you Unicorns for sending Raunak Agarwal to us hoomans.

First things first. The cover is unique and impressive. The book has 51 beautiful chapters of poems, quotes and rants on life. He calls the readers as hoomans and his love for unicorns is evident in the book. The highlight of the book is definitely the musings at the end of each chapter which clearly explains the author's thoughts. Sometimes we tend to read too much between the lines. These author's notes help us to understand what he exactly wants to convey. It is not very preachy. The author h First things first. The cover is unique and impressive. He covers various topics in this book. I personally liked the one where he appreciates the strength of women, fumes over the inequality. He also stresses on how True love needs to be beyond lust. My most favorite one is Envy You! I found it very inspiring and intend to follow it. The language is simple and crisp. You can easily connect with the content. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It is something different in the non-fiction genre. I enjoyed the sarcastic humor of the author. I would rate it 4/5.

Heart Broken Musings Author- Raunak Agarwal (@rk_writes95 ) Genre- Poetry, Quotes, Ranting Rating- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have never seen a book with ranting and this was my first experience with such a compilation, it does add more character to the poetry but I personally would have loved a lot less of it. The poems were shot but impactful and entertaining, lovely work there and keep writing more of these Quotes were few but interesting, and the authors monologues with those worked really well All in all it is a Heart Broken Musings Author- Raunak Agarwal (@rk_writes95 ) Genre- Poetry, Quotes, Ranting Rating- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have never seen a book with ranting and this was my first experience with such a compilation, it does add more character to the poetry but I personally would have loved a lot less of it. The sarcasm he has put in the book tells a lot about the author in real life but it really adds great fun in reading the book and even to understand nicely. The best thing I loved about the book is when he was trying to give the correct idea of what actually true love is and completely agree with the author about it.

MY OPINION- ▪Super quick read. ▪Based on different events, each chapter is so deep in an unique way. ▪Content of the book is extremely relatable, though I think a few chapters are quite exaggerated but it was no problem. Maybe, it's so but I can't relate because it's not happened with me. ▪Writing style is so simple and refreshing. Also some chapters like "Letter to" were my favorite.  ▪Even if you ain't a reader, you must give it a go, because why not? It's inspirationa EXTREMELY FRESH AND RELATABLE. WHAT IT IS ABOUT: Sarcastic rant by author on various complicated situations in life . WHAT I LIKED: ✓ Sarcasm and wittiness used as a medium makes this rant funny and digestible ✓ Topics put forward are common and relatable ✓ Gender unbiased expression of opinions WHAT I DIDNT LIKE × Narration lacked an objective and direction × Abrupt ending of few chapters × Writing style is scattered in different forms WHY READ THIS: Sarcastic Remarks made by author on various subjects is refreshing
