I love this series. I love the characters. Finnegan Temperance McLeary-May, dog walker extraordinaire, chases yet another kidnapped pup. Her efforts are hampered by a hurricane that throws the city into darkness. Her wife, NYPD Detective Jane McLeary, saves the day with her mechanical abilities to fix the rooftop generator. Then Jane goes back into the storm to find her wife, once again. The family is doing well, Bri starts at Columbia, Luce is figuring things out school, the fly girl and her fa I love this series. The family is doing well, Bri starts at Columbia, Luce is figuring things out school, the fly girl and her fashionable wife are still living with Fin and Jane, Fin’s Mom is writing her blog, and Fin’s little niece is talking and chasing her dog. You probably don’t know who these characters are, so start with the first book and enjoy the stories. Just a silly and feel good series that makes me smile. Thanks again, Schubach.

Great Cozy Mystery Series! Finnegan is always finding trouble by getting involved in her wife's police cases. If courSe she does it.again lol. The books are entertaining, always involving a mystery and the.combination of her police detective wife, Jane, their their 2 adopted girls one of which is OCD just like dog walker extraordinaire, Finnegan, 2 best friend Jess & Cur, Fin's mom; their antics and love for one another make each book an enjoyable mystery adventure !! A series, I hope, never ends. There are.so many breads of dogs it would be tough to run out of them, as well as the types of crimes in NYC. I know you are a great story teller Erik and mysteries are my favorite genre!! I've been scouring lesfic authors to find more writing in the mystery genre. There is not enough f/f mysteries out there. I do read mainstream mysteries that have a female lead as long as there is no romance involved.

A few months ago when I finished book 8 from this series I was like: ''I like it, but if the author want me to really like it he should work more on the crime cases, because they they have become predictable up to the 8 book.'' But obviously the author was like: "Nope. I'm going to make the books even more adorable so you wont have a chance to not love them''. And you know what I really liked this one. Now McLeary-May not only have so many rescue dogs, but also monstrously big green-eyed 6 month kitten named Mr. Cat. The story is so cute that I could die. I can't stop marveling at the author's ability to create and develop such cute big series. I also liked how was shown so many people of different nationalities, they were not presented with stereotypical characteristics from their counties, but like normal everyday people. I want more authors to show such images even if they are just for the background, because even though there are language barriers, at the end of the day we are all people capable of good and evil and the country we are coming from does not make as less of a humans.

Another enjoyable book although the story bothered me a little bit. Fin is noted for being a ‘trouble magnet’ but in all the previous stories the trouble has come to her and she couldn’t really have done much about it. In this story she was deliberately stupid, having told everybody a hurricane is coming and understood the transport system was going to shut down, she then completely ignored this and goes off anyway. Also the story doesn’t work without the complete failure of the New York mobile ph Another enjoyable book although the story bothered me a little bit. Well, what can I say ... I'm finally done and will now be able to read the book that started it all (the 10th edition) in this series and I'm so happy that I took the time to start from the beginning as I could not have imagined just what great characters I would come to love. The family that Fin has with her daughters now is amazing and love that her little one is helping out with Fin's crazy adventures that somehow always seem to find their way into this crazy misfits. Read via Audible. This was a Super Happy Platypus read! Another cute adventure of the ineffable dog walker from New York. A little mystery and adventure during a dangerous storm with another furry addition to the unconventional family.
