Writer does a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. Plus an excellent job of portraying the desperate struggle in the Phillipines

Great Read with Excitement and Emotion! This is the second in the series and carries on with the excitement and emotion of the first! I enjoyed the character development for both sides of the conflict. These books have a special place for me, because my Father was in the Navy and my family lived at Singly Point N. A. S. (Philippines, 1952-53) next to Cavite City. When we arrived aboard the “US NAS Brewster” in early December 1951, there was still many sunken ships from WWII in Manila Bay. My Dad (a Chief Petty Officer/CPO) met us at the Manila Pier with an armed caravan of 1-Jeep with 30 cal. machine gun; 2 Chev. Carry-All’s; and 5 other armed sailors and CPO’s, plus my Dad. This was required because The Philippine Government was at war with the “HUKS” and American Military were main targets for the HUKS! Hope there is another book, soon. 😎

Meh For me, this book was empty headed and just made for light and not that engaging reading. By the second in a series of books, one would expect some semblance of character development but there is none. The characters are two dimensional at best, the plot isn’t credible and the people are stereotypical. The Japanese are cruel, cunning and tenacious. The Americans are all brave, resourceful and gallant. There is a third book in the series but I won’t be reading it.

Good read !! This is my 3rd book by this author. He writes in a style that reads easy. If you like action, which makes sense, then read his books. I am an avid military book reader. Chris Galatte knows what he's doing. He only writes page burners with copious amounts of action. TarksTics is a good read !! Good read !! This is my 3rd book by this author. Battled great and small Very good war story about the Philippines. I didn't realize that the communist movement was so strong that early there. Battled great and small Very good war story about the Philippines. I didn't realize that the communist movement was so strong that early there.

Tark's Ticks Book 2 did not disappoint. The horror of the war in the Philippines is brought to life. The last several chapters are absolutely frightful. Tark's Ticks Book 2 did not disappoint.
