Sarah goes willingly looking forward to the adventure and at her first ball meets Lord Graham, Sarah thinks nothing of it. Lord Lisle Sarah’s father has other plans and makes arrangements that Lord Graham will marry his daughter. Graham is not really interested in marriage until Lord Lisle tells him he will expose a family secret that Graham is trying to hide. Graham decides to go along with the marriage never suspecting that he is slowly falling for Sarah. Sarah also holds a secret that could destroy the feelings and budding relationship of the two. Will Sarah and Graham’s love last even with all the secrets surrounding them even though it could destroy who them in the end? What a beautifully written sweet historical regency romance! The story is finely written moving nicely at an even pace without dragging. There are good plot twists and interesting characters that it doesn’t get boring or plods along slowly at all. This might be a first novel for the author but it is very well done. One of the characters is even sensitively written paying much attention to detail which is not only noticeable but much commended. Bravo on writing a person with MDS without being offensive! Sarah the compassionate overly romanticized heroine is charming enough to still be likable; while Graham the stoic sensible hero despite his views on love isn’t bad either. Of course his name is a little confusing since he is Lord Graham of Graham it might have been easier if his first name was something else. Still the book is a wonderful first attempt and it will be great to read more by Ms. Lily Vane!

My goodness, what a story, It was tense and you didn't know what was happening. Miss Sarah and her sister Isabell had lost their mother four months ago. Sarah was twenty and Isabel was nineteen. Her dad had left ten years ago and she had only seen him when they buried her mother. She also had to take care of her sister. She loved her so much but she had MDS. Her dad had left ten years ago and she had only seen him when they buried her mother. She also had to take care of her sister. She loved her so much but she had MDS. Lord Graham, the 14th Earl of Graham, had just been introduced to Miss Grey by her father at the Bexley Ball. He thought she was beautiful. Viscount Lisle told Lord Graham he would like to meet with him tomorrow. When her father met Lord Graham, he proceeded to Blackmail him. Then his daughter had also been blackmailed. So in a fortnight, they would marry. Needless to say, Sarah thought she hated her father and felt he was not trustworthy. She did not trust him. This was an entertaining story and the misunderstandings abound. She spent a lot of time confused. Her sister had the time of her life. she hated having to stay home. The characters were fun and warm. They were very realistic. With all that was going on it kept your attention and your interest. Great Book. I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

Well-Written, Charming Romance I rarely say this about books, but I was utterly charmed by this story. All of the opening scenes just set the right tone and made me curious to see what would happen next. First, I loved the misunderstanding that the godmother had in the very first scene. It's rare that a book starts off from the perspective of someone who is not the hero or heroine, so that was fun, too. What she thought about what she heard was so alarming, but the next scene revealed her error ( Well-Written, Charming Romance I rarely say this about books, but I was utterly charmed by this story. What she thought about what she heard was so alarming, but the next scene revealed her error (though not to her). Once I realized, I nearly laughed out loud. The first scene with the hero was a delight as well. At first he comes off as quite Darcy like, not liking his circumstances at a ball. Reading his thoughts about the setting and his opinions on love was quite funny, especially when he did an about-face when the heroine showed up. The villain in this story is the heroine's father, and there is some suspense around why he acts like he does. In all, I found this to be a delightfully well-written Regency Romance. Irresistible? Yes, I agree. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review. My book blog: https://www.readingfanaticreviews.com

How can a secret cause so many problems? Just read the description caught my attention how could a parent threaten his children just to get what he wants and what is it he really wants? I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and done this review honestly and voluntarily. And all I can say is…WOW! Loved it from one end to the other. I liked the way the relationship between Graham and Sarah progrides, even though is not entirely for real, and how it's mostly based on honesty. Liked how the chapters are divided through the days into their courtship; and how they join efforts to null her father's threats on them. But what took my breath away and game me this wow feeling rega I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and done this review honestly and voluntarily. And all I can say is…WOW! I think it distinguishes this book among so many other historical novels.

I received this as an Advanced Reading Copy. I like historical romances in certain time periods. I don't get a lot of them in ARCs. This was very enjoyable with a nicely complex story. There is one little bit I did not like. There is an overly complicated family relationship described that I read twice and couldn't make sense of either time. I figured I might have to draw it out to make sense of it. So that cost a star. I shouldn't have to diagram a family tree in order to understand the relation I received this as an Advanced Reading Copy. I like historical romances in certain time periods. Great start to the Series! The love of a girl for her sister can be a strong reason to do anything, especially if it means that her sister will be taken care of the rest of her life. Cleverly designed!
