Who doesn’t like playing with ladybugs at night? There are approximately 2,000 classified different kinds of ladybugs all over the world. There are 4 stages to a ladybug: egg, the larval stage, the pupa, & the adult. Are ladybugs really good luck? I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary; MS age) ladybugs storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (ladybugs), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars. Thank you for the free author(s); FreeBooksy; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; book Tony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

I have reviewed several books by this author that look pretty close to verbatim copied from various animal fact sites. I downloaded this one to see if it's plagiarized too. Probably not verbatim, anyway, I can't imagine that any self-respecting animal fact site would talk about ladybug babies or girl fireflies, or consider this a fact worth writing down, "They're not really very cute, are they? As a matter of fact, they look kind of ICKY!" As a matter of fact, they look kind of ICKY!" This is what Lisa Strattin has to say about firefly larvae, "Just like the ladybug, it's not cute either." Cuteness and ickiness are in the eye of the beholder. I would like to see a nature book try to instill a respect for the creatures instead of trying to pass on the author's own disgust. Then she claims that the majority of people fear insects. Oh really? The conclusion of the book doesn't really make sense: "Insects outnumber 95% of living things on the planet. That is a very important number when you consider how small they are." Some of the photo choices are a little odd. When you have been told that ladybug larvae look like little alligators and you would expect to see a photo of a ladybug larva there is a photo of a human baby with a ladybug costume.
