A boon is supposed to be coming to her town, and particularly to her, in the form of a special winter games festival that will be held on her property. But things start to go awry pretty quickly when athletes are murdered. She's asked to help and wants to do so. I like these characters that I have gotten to know over the course of this series, especially the heroine. I love it when the heroine of a book is not a sweet young thing! I didn't feel like there was as much suspense as there has been in other novels, but I still liked seeing the mystery unravel. All in all, if you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries, you will most likely enjoy this book in a series. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review. Witch Cascade (“Cas”) Lorne's bed and breakfast lodge is finally up and running and she will be hosting the officials for the Winter Solstice Games. The town is excited at the extra money the tourists will bring in. Unfortunately, the athletes are getting murdered! One of the organizers requested that Cas help investigate. Her best lead seems to be a family that was destroyed with the exception of a young boy who escaped. But what does he look like now? How can she find him? If she doesn’t, the Witch Cascade (“Cas”) Lorne's bed and breakfast lodge is finally up and running and she will be hosting the officials for the Winter Solstice Games. If she doesn’t, the entire town of Crystal Springs could be destroyed. This was a good mystery that captures the reader’s attention right from the start. Aside from running her lodge, no time to practice her magic, long-distance woes with her boyfriend, and running around with a million tasks to take care of, having athletes murdered on her property is not another job she wants to handle – yet she must. She and Echo need to be hot on the trail to prevent the murderer from continuing his icy revenge before the trail goes "cold".

A witch will be trapped in ice, and two athletes have been murdered in exactly that way. Cas has many suspects but it keeps coming back to an old family that years ago was wiped out except for one small chubby boy who was a supreme and was able to escape even though his magic was supposedly leashed. Now she has to find out what he looks like now after so many years and stop him because not only athletes are in danger, but his revenge could decimate the entire town. I got stumped! Nice job. Now admit that part of the fun in reading a mystery is trying to figure it out yourself!!! I love when I get faked out. Watch out for the rabbit trails. I had it but thought no. Spent time on the name Brie as a male name and other things. I had who but got sidetracked from the actual who. Nice job keeping the brain cells active. Keeps you reading to put the clues together. You can read this as a standalone easily. Honestly, I have read the previous books and barely remember I got stumped! Nice job. Crystal Springs - a town full of witches was awarded the Winter Solstice Games, and Cas, the main character of the book, is especially excited, as the Games will be held on her property. There was plenty going on for Cas and the town along with loads of people to keep track of, I liked how you weren't sure who to trust as well as trying to work out who was sabotaging the games, the players along with who stole an artifact along and who the mysterious Brie W. Loftt is. This keeps you turning the page until the end and when you get to the end you want the next book to see what happens to Cas next! This is a paranormal cozy mystery filled with quirky, interesting characters and an interesting mystery. The characters are unique, with both strengths and weaknesses. The mystery was complicated with subtle clues, numerous viable suspects, action, magical situations, danger and suspense. I enjoyed the character interactions and the individual experiences of the main character. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Although everything appeared well organised and ready for the Winter Games, Cas had an uneasy feeling that not everything was right and she was proven only too right when it started with 2 athletes found frozen in a block of ice in the lake. Which was just the start of her many, many problems. Another fun and exciting read. I almost feel sorry for Cas with all the dilemmas that she has to face but being a Supreme, she can handle it!

A Witch Too Frozen was exciting. The Winter Solstice Games have arrived in Crystal Springs along with many new games and characters. I do enjoy that Cas is not too old or too good to learn something new as she navigates this new world. Cas is always thinking of others and with that she will always be on the case. Can't you remember your characters? I like this series, but this book A Witch Less Frozen makes me frustrated. The assistant bank manager that attacked the town was Mr. Timbers NOT Buckley. Buckley was killed and his body used as the corpse with Cascade's doppelganger! I really get frustrated when the proofreaders miss this stuff. Can't you remember your characters? Cas is preparing to host athletes for the Games but a chilling murder may place them-both the athletes and the Games-in jeopardy. Also, she has used so much magic lately, she may have to take her exams too early, which would put her in danger. I am definitely going to read the next novel in this series.
