I had a hard time getting into this book, so I allowed myself to not force it. I’m setting the book down for now. It was really focused on the fathers perspective, and as a mother I had a hard time relating. He also said he was a single parent when in fact he’s got a partner. I didn’t get to the explanation of that identification, but it just didn’t sit well with me.

This review is a bit bias as I'm the author. I can tell you this book was/is a passion project for me. In the world of foster care and adoption there are so many unknowns and my hope was to showcase the many sides from my children and their triumphs and struggles to the actual system of foster care and adoption. I hope the reader of this book takes away a great understanding of this uniwur world from the initial decision to become a foster parent to the finalization of adoption of children.
