Not even close If you like profanity, especially sloshing in the mire with "f" this and that, this might be your kind of book. I think there is better literature elsewhere. I won't bother any more with this author. Not even close If you like profanity, especially sloshing in the mire with "f" this and that, this might be your kind of book. Rated R Close to Home is a dark book filled with sex, extreme language, and horror. It is well written with not a lot of grammatical errors. I would recommend it to an adult audience.

This was a very interesting story. Serial killer expert with twin teenagers, marital trouble and a selfish self centered woman. Mix in a serial killer close to home and you have a very interesting book! The book starts slow and drops plenty of clues. The plot is very original. It was an interesting read. Characters were very typical in their stereotypical roles. I still would recommend the book over all.

I detested the two main characters and thought there behavior was selfish, narcissistic and reprehensible. Magically, they redeemed themselves at the end and even more unbelievably their supremely dysfunctional family, including two almost adult twin boys, suddenly became a loving family with great career opportunities ahead. Really?

Different! A very different mystery thriller to what I normally read. The main focus is on a family of four who live in a town on edge, as a killer is at large. Selena who specialises in serial killer profiles for her television interviews, has her husband Adam as a patient. Adam has some very dark fantasies! A family that is unraveling. The main characters are Selena, Adam, their twin teenager boys and their friends.

Fantasies, Oh My! For readers like myself who love guessing who the killer is, this book is for you. I would think this little residential community would be more concerned if someone was killing their neighbors.

This was not one of my favorite books. It was well written but the plot was not well developed. A serial killer wife and a sadistic thinking husband. The plot focuses more on the kids lives than the murders.

I couldn't get into it. I read 10% of the book but became bored with the kids from the hood discussing the fire. After several chapters a book should draw you into the story. This one failed to do so. I couldn't get into it. I read 10% of the book but became bored with the kids from the hood discussing the fire. Loved this book! Great story/plot and fantastic characters. If you open yourself to the concept, we all have a bit, or even a bit more than a bit, of the dark in us.

Sexual situations are too well defined for my taste, and they seem to take up most of the plot. Well narrated by James Anderson Foster. Use fast forward, it helps the enjoyment level sometimes.

Well written, but grammatical errors made it hard at times to read. Dark sexual writing.

30% Enjoyable. Took some reading. Didn’t captivate me. Ending good but the plot to get there wishy washy. Won’t be jumping straight into the next one as I would normally

A strange story of lies and egos A disfunctional family becomes involved in a serial killer's life, each for a different reason and in spite of their own idiosyncrasies.
