This is the third novel in the Myth coast adventure series. I felt like this was the best of the books. The author writes from an understanding that some humans are bad but there are also humans who will always stand up to evil and work to stop it. Humans like agent Raleigh, he's my favorite character. Dispute starting out as a psudo villain in the first book. He's a government agent who does exactly what a government agent should do, Work with and not against the citizens of his county. He's also a great way to have "adult supervision" for the young protagonists without having a nervous parent hovering around.

A stunning and satisfying finale! I love watching authors grow as their books go. “Exploit” is absolutely a home run; Wyatt knocked it out of the park with this one! The first two books were great, but I can honestly say this one’s even better and my favorite of the series. I loved the spiritual elements and lessons strewn throughout. And what fantastic world-building! I truly felt like I was right there, in both our world and the other. I can’t wait to read some of the other books by the author that I’ve not yet picked up. I received a copy of the book from the author. All opinions are my own.

Absolutely enjoyable. A sixteen year old struggles to believe in mythical creatures. Now he’s sworn to protect them, but can he? Wonderful for everyone.

The small coastal town of Myrtle Beach, Oregon has been a known hot spot for mythical creatures. The portals that open up have caused several creatures to come through to our world. Now, 16 year old Franklin stumbles through a portal on a hunting trip and befriends a sasquatch. Before Franklin can return home, he learns about the world of Shinwano, all the creatures that live there and begins training on how to protect the portals when he returns home. However, promptly upon Franklin's return to his world, Jack Collins, hunter of mythical creatures forces Franklin to show him the portal. Luckily, Agent Raleigh and Franklin's friends aren't too far behind and can help Franklin defeat Jack and the evil forces in Shinwano while protecting the beings that live there. In the final book of the Myth Coast Adventures series, a middle grade fantasy adventure, we finally get to see where all of the magnificent creatures came from. I really enjoyed exploring Shinwano with Franklin and learning about how the portals work. My favorite part of the story was when Franklin was training with Ladaku, a sanraksaka, or Sasquatch. Through Ladaku, Franklin learned about the strength within himself`and how to use his bhala. I did notice that the religious undertones that had been set in the previous two books have now come full force as the fight of good versus evil erupts in Shinwano. The excitement and danger was amplified in this installment as Jack Collins is unleashed in a land with creatures that he wants to kill for their body parts. To stop Jack, they use teamwork, creative thinking and their beliefs. I also loved the consequence that Jack has to face at the end. My only complaint was that there were a lot of new Shinwano words introduced all at once and it was difficult for me to keep track of new names for creatures that there are already words for. Overall, a satisfying end to an enchanting trilogy. This book was received for free in return for an honest review.

This time he forces Franklin to show him the way in. Franklin's friends follow to help him out. Franklin is welcomed back into the village. The secret he carries about the danger he has brought into Shinwano is eating away at him. Will he do the right thing? Can he save those he loves? This is a must-read when it comes out. I can't wait for it to come out in paperback so I can purchase it for my classroom and a couple of grandkids.

I was lucky enough to originally read this book as a beta reader. Ms. Wyatt has a gift for weaving vibrant fantasy tales that are appropriate for younger readers but also engaging and interesting to older readers. In this one, Franklin accidentally finds his way across the border between the human world and one inhabited by Bigfoot-like creatures, unicorns, fairies, and more. It's a fun read full of fascinating characters. I was lucky enough to originally read this book as a beta reader. This whole series was fun reading. I first read this story as a beta reader and now as the completed book. Love the characters, the setting, the ending. I love the world of Shinwano and all the magical creatures such as unicorns, dragons, sasquatch, centaurs, fairies, brownies, and faun. A treasure trove of magic and believing in a creator of all. Franklin is a high-school student that is unsure of himself and yet finds his inner strength with the help of great friends, old and new.
