Yikes. I remember really liking TSUNAMI BLUE and RIDERS ON THE STORM, but I'm thinking I might need to re-look at them after this. In addition to the editorial errors in this book--the commas, the missing quotation marks, the uses of wrong words, things that are Capitalized-or-hyphenated for no reason--on top of all that, this feels like only half a book. I was super excited to see a new installment in this series, but... Well. It's branded as a "post apocalyptic paranormal romance." Great. The Yikes. I was super excited to see a new installment in this series, but... Well. It's branded as a "post apocalyptic paranormal romance." Great. The post-apocalyptic part is there. The paranormal part barely is; main character Sammie can sense a big earthquake coming, one that is going to set off a lot of volcanoes. But nothing is actually done with this. The romance part is pretty-much non-existent; Sammie doesn't even fall in with "love interest" Prince until 80% through the book (he shows up before then, but they don't really interact much before that and certainly not in any sort of romantic way) and, by the time we're 88% through the book, they are twue wuv which definitely IS insta-love even though Sammie SPECIFICALLY SAYS "This is not insta-love!!!" What? And this despite them exchanging less than 5 minutes conversation leading up to that point, most of which is Prince apparently wanting to kill her despite having never met her before. Ohhhh boy. And then--THEN--the whole reason that Sammie tracked down Prince to begin with, to get him to help her stop the volcano/earthquake problem, is just dropped entirely. Nothing is done about it at all. So I'm left to assume that this is the end of the series because the world is just gonna blow up. Would not recommend.
