I worked through this quickly to start prepping to teach it to a group of ladies and I am so excited to now go back through it again and study slower in order to prep each week. This study is thorough and challenging to everywhere from a new believer to those who have been believers for a long time. I love the application at the end of each day asking the reader to summarize the point of the lesson and then to consider how that affects/changes my life. I highly recommend.

A concise, approachable, and faithful resource. Would highly recommend to men and women seeking to understand the core truths of the Christian faith. Great used as a group or personal study!

I love counting my bible studies in my reading goals and lists here on Goodreads. I really enjoyed this bible study more than I thought I would. I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on the "story" of the bible and my Christian faith so I thought this would be just a good refresher of things I already know. Boy was I wrong and silly to think I know it all. She did a very good job at drawing you deeper and pointing out strong Theology that effects how we believe. What we believe does matter. There are false teachings everywhere we look. People that take things out of context or twist it to suit themselves. She helps bring you back to biblical principals and to the core of what we believe when we call ourselves Christian and what we are called to do. I have a deeper understanding of Theology and it has helped shape me and I felt Gods gentle answer to my prayers of seeking wisdom during this weekly study.

This study is very well laid out. It's clear and easy to navigate. The topics transition well from one to another. And the questions and content itself was just really well done, in my opinion. It's also just well-bound and laid out visually. There was no accompanying video, which seems a little out of norm for what I've seen in women's bible studies recently, but that didn't detract from the study at all, in my opinion. Our group was forced to actually talk about the questions and points in the study, which I really liked. The study covers basic, foundational truths that we build the Christian faith on. But it digs into each one and shows us why we believe what we do. The connections that Wiley drew and truths she pointed us toward were really neat. There were a few days I really got excited. Though I wouldn't venture to say I learned much new, I did learn a whole lot deeper. I feel like I'm standing on a more solid foundation for the truths I do believe in, which is really encouraging. It's an eight week study, and each week covers a different foundational piece of the Christian doctrine. But, don't worry, it isn't as scary as it sounds. Wiley asks questions that make you think and grow in your understanding of why this is so important, but she's also super conversational and down to earth. She explains the big theological words and really brings the concepts down to the everyday level. I'd definitely recommend the study! Even if you're a seasoned warrior, this book has a firm foundation that can be useful for deeping and clarifying your understanding as well as preparing you to talk about what and why you believe with confidence.
