Can a fake relationship land her the prom date of her dreams? Hayley Lawson had no chance of getting a date to prom. Thanks to a rumor gone wrong, the boys at school were all convinced she was only interested in dating college guys. She certainly wasn't holding her breath waiting for someone to ask her to the big dance. But, when her long-time crush returns to town, Hayley's hopes of landing her dream date suddenly reignite. Owen Beck was everything she ever wanted in a guy, but after years of waiting, she couldn't rely on fate alone to bring them together. If she wanted to go to prom with him, she was going to have to put her heart on the line and ask him herself. Her promposal doesn't exactly go to plan though, and when Owen's twin swoops in to 'save' her, she ends up in the arms of the wrong brother. She might still have a chance with Owen though. Ethan knows his brother better than anyone, and he seems to think a bit of good old fashioned jealousy might just get Owen to ask Hayley to the prom himself. A few weeks faking a relationship shouldn't be too hard. After all, Ethan is nothing compared to Owen. Right?

The Wrong Prom Date Alright, so I feel like middle ground has finally been reached. The first book was a five star read. The second book was a three star read. This book is a four star read. Now, keep in mind this is a TEEN novel. I really loved both the main characters Hayley and Ethan. Hayley was definitely feisty and original. She reminded me of how I was in high school. Ethan was really sweet and I enjoyed seeing the outside perspective looking in. I felt like you really needed more plot or more storyline for that to occur. However, it was a great book I would give this a 4.6

I liked this book, I had to skim some parts but I liked it overall. I still think that the first was the best, not that I didn't enjoy this. I was happy to see Madi and Cole. The 3 stars might be because I just switched from reading adult fiction to young adult fiction and it was a little jarring switching POVs. She was so worried about her prom date instead of paying attention to math and I was like, girl! Your studies are more important! So after my mind adjusted to the age difference and being in the frame of mind of a teenager, I thought it got better. I still don't understand why authors are writing books where characters are in love with people that they've never really had a conversation with. I thought Ethan more endearing and a more likable character than Hayley. Anyway, it was a fun, fast read.

This was such a sweet book and I read it super fast...and way into the night as I could just stop and wait until the next day to finish it. :D At some point, you could say that this story was way too cheesy of a love story. But that's exactly what I needed right now. An amazing easy-going love story with manageable drama. My most favorite storyline is The boy/girl next door. So I was thrilled when I not only see that the two main characters were neighbors but actually could see directly into each other's rooms from their window. I like the main characters and how they first seemed to be just a cliche type of high school student, but acted way differently and just stuck to the way they were. They were kind and not pushing themselves into the ranking game of popularity. Their story was truly focused on love and not about all the other mind games going on in high school. I myself fell in love with the gorgeous dorky main character Ethan but was also a bit disappointed as their relationship was really strongly held in the PG-13 level. I mean why mention that Ethan has hidden abs under all his baggy clothes and is supposedly a heartthrob under all his covers, but not letting Hayley even see them herself- even by accident. ;) That part kind of confused me a little, but he so made up for it with his super sweet serenades for Hayley on and off stage. :) *dreamy sigh* I didn't like how things just ended suddenly for the side storylines and we were just kind of left in the middle. I would have loved to read a bit more about the famous Owen and maybe see a bigger meaning behind all his *assholeness*. He and Laurie were the true Mean Girls of the story. This brings me to Hayley's amazing taste any Ethan's super exciting "fake" dates. They were just breathtaking. I wished I would get such a magical moment one day. :D So the funny thing is that I didn't exactly know this book was the third book in a standalone series. I guessed so much as to see some of the other characters having their own main love stories in the previous books and I loved that they all appeared in this book too. I can't wait to read their stories and be still connected with this unique girl clique that is in for some major love stories along their high school times. :) Concluding my review I can recommend this book for anyone in the need of a sweet and light summer read that makes you laugh and slowly fall in love with amazing characters. Enjoy!! Now I just have to get my hands on the other books in this series. ;D

4 Stars? 4.5 Stars? 5 Stars? Okay, I'm struggling with how to rate this one. Once again, I am impressed with how developed the characters were for a romance novel, but I do have a couple complaints. It was cool to see Hayley and dive deeper into her life after seeing her in the previous two books, but I was disappointed when we didn't see much of her friendships, like at all. She was such a big part of The Wrong Bachelor as Madi's best friend, but we hardly saw Madi at all in this book. Granted, 4 Stars? 4.5 Stars? 5 Stars? Okay, I'm struggling with how to rate this one. She was such a big part of The Wrong Bachelor as Madi's best friend, but we hardly saw Madi at all in this book. Granted, Moody kind of made up for it by introducing new characters and with the fact that Hayley made new friends, but I felt like not having Hayley's original friends in the story more wasn't very realistic. That being said, I LOVED THE NEW CHARACTERS. Ethan Beck is probably my favorite love interest of the series. His sweet, caring, talented, and just all-around good guy personality was written perfectly. I also loved Isla and Colin. But really I just can't get over Ethan, he was amazing. As a character, I'd say he had the best dynamics with the other characters, like Hayley, Owen, Isla, and Colin. It was a pretty predictable plot, but these types of books usually are. I would say that this book's plot was a little more cliche than the second book, but less than the first book. So I'd say the second book is my favorite plot because it's more original. This book has my favorite love interest. And probably the first and third books are tied for my favorite character development/complexity. The only thing I was disappointed about with that was the fact that there was this big reveal for Ethan about the poem, but then nothing ever happened with Hayley knowing the truth about it, so like, what? But really Ethan was just so cute the entire time, and that's probably why I liked the book so much, lol. Again, some mild language and innuendo, maybe more so than the previous two books, but some of that was just these random girls who weren't even characters who were just lusting after Ethan's band, so, whatever. Probably my favorite thing that I really really love about these books is that the chapters switch perspectives between the girl and the boy love interest characters. These are the only romance novels I've ever read that show the story from the guy's perspective, and that's something I really appreciate, since romance stories are very very stereotyped to be a girl thing and are always presented from the girl's perspective. So I always really love the chapters from the guy's POV. Here's to hoping there will be another book in the series :)

Aw! This was the cutest one. So. My one friend and I have discussed several times why it's a bad idea to fake date someone just to get the attention of a different person. (Or fake dating in general. I'm sure there are more reasons to fake date than just get a date with the person you are convinced is The One.) In every book or movie I've come across, you always see the fake couple falling for each other. Which makes me want to try it in real life. Just for research purposes. That and I have bee Aw! In every book or movie I've come across, you always see the fake couple falling for each other. Which makes me want to try it in real life. Just for research purposes. That and I have been having a hell of a time trying to find and keep a date to another friend's wedding. The fact that it was moved from May to November actually hurt me more because my second wedding date acquired a girlfriend and so we mutually agreed to not be wedding dates. I'm close to bribing someone to be my date. I'm not that picky. I just need someone who looks good in a suit, can hold a conversation, and has multiple pockets to hold all of my belongings so I can carry a tiny clutch. I've had an offer of a wedding date, but that offer comes from like 2000 miles away and considering the circumstances of the year, it might not be a great idea. But. Like. A single date to a wedding shouldn't be that difficult for me to acquire and keep. One would have expected anyways. Clearly it's time to hire one. Back to the book. Obviously, based on the series, the trope, and the synopsis, we already know how this is going to end. My friend and I have also discussed why the trope works. I say it's because you're just more honest with someone you aren't actively trying to impress. Here, in the case of Ethan, he's been unsure how to even talk to Hayley for years. He's had a crush on her almost as long as she's had a crush on his brother. I firmly believe tho that she would have dropped Owen a lot sooner if he hadn't been away for school. The football high school scholarship confused me, but I guess I've never been involved in any elite private school things. I'm sure it happens somewhere. There were a few things from earlier books that never got settled. Mainly the Teagan arc was never finished to my liking (I haven't read about madi for so long I don't remember her story). I would love for Angus to get into more trouble since I loathe him, but oh well. I did enjoy the story. I even screamed about one of the boys being a dick.

I mean, everybody was telling her how Owen was, and she finally saw his TRUE colors. & realize how amazing Ethan was after she fell for him though she was blinded by who Ethan liked. I mean, his best friend Isla was giving her so many clues as to who Ethan wanted, but clearly, Hayley couldn't figure it out. Even after they broke up (fake relationship), she still thought Ethan liked some other girl (Laurie), and only time she knew he wanted her was when they were on the way to prom, and he had candles lit. But he had to tell her who the girl was. Which was her. Smh! I was glad she figured it out and understood which brother she needed to be with. But what I wanted to happen was him telling her who that poem was written about in seventh grade.

This made such a cute finale to the Wrong Match series! I really enjoyed The Wrong Bachelor and The Wrong Costar, and I'm pleased to say this one did not disappoint. What a great book! This is the third book of The Wrong Match series so I figured I would like it, but I didn’t expect to like it so much! I’m always a sucker for a fake relationship turn real, but this one felt different than many others that I’ve read. As in the second book, we got a little cameo of a lot of the characters from the first and second books. It always makes me smile when I see familiar characters and get a little reassurance that their relationships are still going great. I loved getting to know Hayley and Ethan. Hayley is very loud and bold while Ethan was more reserved around people. However, my favorite moments were seeing Ethan with his band, doing what he loved. I didn’t know I had a thing for guys in bands until I read this book. This book has me seriously considering hitting up local venues to watch small-time bands. Anyone else in? There were a couple of parts of this book that I felt like needed more of a resolve, like Hayley’s relationship with her sister, but that didn’t deter me from loving this book.

Ugh this was so cute! I want more books with this same premise! It was a fun and easy read! Don't really know what else to say about it. It is the third book in the series and it followed the same formula more or less. Just wish we finally got rid of that Laurie girl, she's way too predictable after reading all of the books in order. What I would like to note is that several characters lacked any depth or reasoning behind their behaviour. Like I really saw no reason why Owen was the way he was. We Ugh this was so cute! This was not technically a brilliant book. It was very clichéd and the characters were very one dimensional. However, none of that bothered me because this book perfectly accomplished what it set out to do. And that was deliver a romance that would have readers squealing with excitement throughout. There was the perfect amount of pining and miscommunication (which I live for in romance novels!). I love fake dating and all the issues it brings with it and Moody pulled it off perfectly. So Ethan was definitely the best of the three love interests, but this was only the second best book in the trilogy. The Wrong Costar is still my favorite. I'm completely smitten with this archetype. That being said, the author is still a less than mediocre writer. If you're looking for a NOVEL, this isn't it. I would still read more books in this series, though. I wouldn't mind reading one with Evan as the main character! Or that other dude Tanner?? He seems like a nice dude, who is probably super lonely. Those stories would probably be more interesting, but I doubt that Alexandra Moody has enough skill to do that, if this trilogy is her best work.

I honestly still can't believe I actually continued reading this series. I really like the 1st book, but these were just.... meh. to be honest there were too many cliches and I am honestly getting REALLY tired of reading books with "fake relationships" THAT YOU KNOW WILL TURN OUT TO BE REALLLLL. And these books are so freaking predicting I just want ONE of these romance books to have a plot twist that I actually didn't expect. The characters are too likable at times too, and sometimes totally un I honestly still can't believe I actually continued reading this series. I am done ranting now.

Okay...so here is how I feel initially about this book...it was okay and I will probably not read it again lol 😂 but for real: I thought the book didn’t really start picking up until 3/4 ways through the book. It just dragged a little. I’m not disappointed in the way the book ended and it was a cute read for a tween to enjoy. The whole trilogy was an all together okay read. I did like how each book characters from the previous books made an appearance. Like I said I probably won’t be reading the Okay...so here is how I feel initially about this book...it was okay and I will probably not read it again lol 😂 but for real: I thought the book didn’t really start picking up until 3/4 ways through the book. It was cute, just not original enough, I guess. It also seems like it could have been fleshed out more. Mainly, I guess it lacked depth. But, it was an "okay" book. Very quick read, just light and fluffy. The first book in this series has been the best. The other two are only okay. I don't regret reading it or anything. It's just not going to be a book that sticks in my mind. So, read it for the fun of it, but know it's nothing special. It was cute, just not original enough, I guess. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. He did a promposal by singing “Love Story”, one of the greatest Taylor Swift songs. Then he pulled her on stage and performed at Taylor Swift medley because Taylor is her favorite. How could I not give this book five stars? But seriously this was a good execution of the fake dating / wrong sibling trope. I loved it and found them both to be very likable characters. Plus I loved the secondary characters! We need Colin to have his own story now.

Very cute! I actually like this book better than The wrong bachelor. The main characters are cute, the story is light and funny... it is impossible to not fall in love with Haley and Ethan and their love story. After reading the second book and not loving it so much, this book was a great surprise. loved it

I've read all three books in this series in the last three days and really liked all of them. Of the three, Ethan in this one was definitely my favorite love interest! But this one also annoyed me the most because the "conflict" went on for so long and the characters were being so stupid about it. But overall, still a fun and sweet series to get your mind off of things! I've read all three books in this series in the last three days and really liked all of them. Cute!! 4-4.5 Stars This was so cute! It was also a little predictable but I knew that it was going to be going into it. There were times where I was a bit annoyed but that was to be expected. This is the third book I read from this author and I have not been disappointed. It was just so cute!

A sweet read but could do with some editing. Something I didn't like was that in the past books and in the beginning of this one, they discuss how Hayley is known for only dating college guys and her being seen with Ethan will seem odd. But this is literally never brought up again. Like it never existed. A sweet read but could do with some editing.
