I started reading this a few years ago, and didn't find many of the essays relatable, so I put it down. I only have about six months left in my 4os, so I figured I'd give it another go, then drop it off at my local Little Free Library for someone else to enjoy. I think this book is better enjoyed if you're nearing 40 or just right at the beginning of the decade. This book was a 40th bday gift, and I must say, it was terrific, and I'll be giving it as a gift to my girlfriends as they hit the big 4-0. It was fun, uplifting, sweet, and touching. It's a great find. This book was a 40th bday gift, and I must say, it was terrific, and I'll be giving it as a gift to my girlfriends as they hit the big 4-0. This is my official "40th birthday gift" for all my girlfriends. I laughed, I smiled knowingly, I inhaled in fear and it made some of the craziness seem normal.
