It seems that demons are taking possession of the bodies of the city’s inhabitants. It will be far from being easy, because if other people learn about that, the city could well be razed. Doing everything possible with Neville to find out how to solve this problem, our heroine will once again find herself in danger. And then, did I mention our very dear Sheriff? I was so unhappy with the way the story turned out about the relationship with Eden, but I have to say that I really liked the author’s ideas in this one and I am now very curious to find out what will happen next. By the way, I’ve already ordered the next novel! So as I was saying, it’s once again a very good sequel to a series that I recommend!

The Day of the Triffids strikes back Awesome, what a great read. A mixture of Stepford Wives meets The Day of the Triffids. Fast action, nice humour and great dialogue. Plus the characters just keep getting better. Great to see her come clean with the Chief. Plus I wonder what her new power will be.

This was a fun, relatively light, witchy cozy. I find the bickering between the main character and her mom, grandma, and aunt to be entertaining most of the time, even if it is grating some times. I also wish that there had been more cheese puns in this volume.

Such a talented author I must say that this author is so talented and I love every series and book she writes. They are unique and never repetitive or boring. I absolutely love Eden and her mother and grandmother. They are so funny and definitely make the series a delight. We finally get some Eden and Sawyer time and it’s oh so good!

Some people are beginning to act strangely. Chief Fox seems to be interested in another woman so Eden has more problems. She's 26, a vengeance fury and she really, really doesn't like being that way. There's a day coming up which is one to celebrate dark magic and Eden doesn't want anything to do with that but her mother wants her to participate. There's still the problem of watching the portal that she has to deal with in addition to everything else. (I'm wondering if it would be possible to enc Some people are beginning to act strangely. The main problem at the time is a plant that is able to turn people into pod-people, still in their original bodies but with all personality gone out of them. Eden in a way doesn't survive it but in another way she does. The problems now include getting the message to someone else, getting her original body back, destroyed the plant, freeing everyone who has been taken over and revealing the secret of just what she is to someone she'd rather not reveal that secret to.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets Chipping Cheddar! This was so much fun to read and like all of Annabel Chase's books, completely addictive. Ms. Chase is one of my all time favorite authors and she delivered once again with this book. Great characters and the situations they get into and out of will make you smile at the very least. I listened to this as an audio book on Scribd. I've listened to the previous four books in this series and enjoyed them but I feel that this one was the weakest. The author borrows the plot of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", which I've no objection to. It's quite clever of her to adapt it to a cozy paranormal setting. Near the beginning the heroine's mother and grandmother play a nasty magical trick on her and I found it all rather juvenile. There's also a section further on in the story where the heroine behaves completely out of character and her family don't notice, which I found completely unbelievable but was clearly put in to advance the plot at the expense of characterisation. I did like the ending but I won't go into details because I don't want to add any spoilers.

I enjoy these books but think should read in order even if could be read as a stand alone as would get so much more out of them. A quick, humorous read. I think the main character dealing with her family is such a fun process. You get to know the main characters with some others thrown in here and there but not enough to confuse the story. There is a sameness to the books but yet each is different in it's own way which still make all the ones I read enjoyable. Fast becoming a favourite comfort series, Eden Fury is fun and witty and I love reading about the town of weird characters, odd neighbours and of course supernatural disasters and crimes. There never seems to be a dull moment for Eden and she takes her families antics in her stride, despite often being aimed at her :-) I'd love her to embrace her fury nature and find some happiness but all in good time, in the meantime I am entertained! Wow!! Pod people, Neville the Devil, and more Loved this edition of Eden. She needs to embrace more of her own powers and find balance. Balance with her family. Balance with the Chief. I'm surprised she doesn't have more bureau people checking in, but that would probably detract from the main plots. Wow!! Pod people, Neville the Devil, and more Loved this edition of Eden. Invasion of the pod demons People, both supes and humans, are changing. They're acting "flat", like their spark is missing. Even Eden's Grandma is affected, actually being nice, which is very odd for her. Great characters, non-stop action, and a little bit of romance make for a wonderful read. 3.5 - If you're a person who gets knocked out of the story by poor editing, you'll find this book and the rest of the series to be jarring with some regularity. The story is well written, the errors are of the "his"-instead-of-"this" variety, the characters are relatable, and it's a fun little romp. 3.5 - If you're a person who gets knocked out of the story by poor editing, you'll find this book and the rest of the series to be jarring with some regularity. Best ending..... The girl or fury finally gets her cop! Poor Eden a Fury, had to push away the man she likes because he is a human. But, when he witnesses something he shouldn’t, Eden finally tells him the truth of what she is. And, he doesn’t run for the hills!! Bring on the next book in the series as I can’t wait to see more of this developing relationship.
