This is the first book that I have read from this author and it was an ok read for me. It was a very quick read that was insta-love so if you like that, then this is the book for you. She thinks that if he takes her to work, her boss won’t fire her however on the way, Brick gets a call and she agrees to go along with. That was not a good idea because once they get to their destination every thing just goes wrong. They do find a way to make the best of their situation. Brick and Bea were able to overcome the situation and have fun while doing so and work their way to a HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I liked it. It was good for what it was - a quick, fast, steamy read with a bit of banter and a bit of action. Fun bit of escapism, but nothing really remarkable. The leads were likeable. Like the rest of this series, this is an intelligent professional woman and alpha, hyper protective man, crossed with a bit (OK, a lot) of insta-love and a dash of life-threatening danger. And I really liked the "broken" hero. There have been a couple dyslexic heroes I've read now, and I've really like them. Fo I liked it. And I really liked the "broken" hero. There have been a couple dyslexic heroes I've read now, and I've really like them. For starters, awareness is always a good thing, and I like seeing the different types of intelligence. The whole opposites-attract thing works with the dyslexic (or in one case, dyscalculic) and the educational professional. Still attracted mentally, just not what we would 'typically' consider balance. And for days when you're feeling a little broken or less-than-perfect yourself, it's nice reading a story where the swoon-worthy hero is less than perfect too. I liked the balance in this one, especially compared to the first one in the series, Curvy for Him: The Teacher and the Trainer. With the running theme of fate/destiny in this story, I really liked how Brick and Bea's narration paralleled each other. The pacing is, like usual, an issue for me. Short stories often have that choppy sort of feel, too much squeezed into shorter number of pages. Here, I felt it most in the conclusion. (view spoiler)[The way the criminals just changed their minds about the whole thing and let everyone go just felt a bit anti-climatic. Or maybe I just wanted to see a good fight scene. (hide spoiler)] A few real life details irked me. I know, expecting real life believability in an insta-love short story... Crazy talk. Still... Bea has been a librarian since 'dropping out of college', and at the end of the story has an office so that she can bring her twins into work. What library is this??? A real "librarian" position requires a Master's, or (if it's a small system, maybe) at least a 4 year degree. I have never heard of a library system that would hire anyone without a degree of some kind - certainly not for a librarian position. Maybe for a library tech or aide. Hey, I'm proud of my degree and my profession. Offhand details like that irk me. And then any government job which lets you bring twin infants (or even one infant) in while you're on shift?? Yeah, somehow I can buy into hookups in the stacks (they probably happen more than we like to think about) but free child care on-duty stretches my ability to suspend disbelief. Go figure. Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating or love triangle nonsense. No immature lack-of-communication drama. Insta-love in a big way. Enjoyable bit of steamy escapism. HEA and no cliffhanger. Would I read more in the series? If I find more on special on Kindle, sure!

The only thing that I didn’t understand was it didn’t explain how she got out of being in trouble with her boss, and him as well for the time that they were missing. So I guess that is why this is more of a fairy tale fantasy. Bea is a librarian who just happens to trying to hurry her way to work so she doesn’t get fired. She has already received a warning from him boss that if she is late one more time she is out of a job. To added to her stress her landlord also told her that week if she is late one more time on paying her rent she will be evicted. She is sitting at a long red light thinking about all of this and does not realize that the light has turned green and as the car behind her honks bringing her back to reality she guns her car through the light. The bad thing is once she stepped on the gas the light had already turned yellow and as she went through it was red. The next thing she sees are the red flashing lights of a police car in her rearview mirror. Brick sees the beat up powder blue Honda run the red light and decides to pull them over. Once he gets to the car he discovers it is the most beautiful curvy woman he has ever seen. He can barely talk as he listens to her trying to talk him into arresting her so she would have an excuse for being late for work. Then decides that wouldn’t work very well she talks about him giving her a ticket that she can’t afford, then she can go contest it later and then she will still have the ticket to show why she is late for work. Brick decides to let just let her go but when she tries to start her car to go to work it wont start so he takes her in the backseat of his squad car. It is from here that thing take a left turn. He gets a call that an alarm at a home has gone off. Thinking that it was just another false alarm he takes Bea with him but has her stay in the back of the car. Only this isn't a false alarm this time and Brick doesn’t go by procedure when he approaches the house to busy thinking about Bea. He gets the two of the held as hostages in a home burglary gone wrong. To find out how they get out of this mess you will have to read the book.

I am fairly sure this is supposed to be hilariously funny, but when the bad decisions that no real person would possibly make keep piling one onto another, I find it difficult to stay wrapped in the story. Beatrice (“Bea”) has a job as a librarian and is facing the possibility of losing her job if she is late one more time. She sits at a red light, bemoaning the fact that without her job income, she won’t be able to pay the rent on her apartment. Beatrice (“Bea”) has a job as a librarian and is facing the possibility of losing her job if she is late one more time. She sits at a red light, bemoaning the fact that without her job income, she won’t be able to pay the rent on her apartment. Having been warned by the landlord that if she is late one more time on paying her rent, she will be evicted, so would be both jobless and homeless as well. While mentally going over the injustice of her situation, she is not paying attention to traffic while the light has cycled from red to green and is on its way back to red – so she floors it through the intersection on the red light, and is pulled over by a cop named Brick. She had given some thought to leading the cop on a mad chase through the city and perhaps over a cliff, or using a glimpse of her ample cleavage to bribe him, but she pulled over and stopped. Brick is immediately drawn to her and, when her car turns out to be broken down, ends up taking her with him on a break-in call (which no cop would even think of doing in real life) – where they end up being part of a hostage situation. At least that gives them a chance to get to know each other much, much better. There were many more crazy pieces to this puzzle of a relationship that I left out so that the entire reading experience can be realized by potential new readers, because the contrived stacking on of disaster after disaster can either have you rolling on the floor joyfully with the craziness or banging your head against the wall in frustration at the impossible situations that could never happen – at least not that many, one right after the other. It wasn’t a horrible story, so if you are intrigued, grab a copy and hang on for dear life as the author takes you off on a very wild ride!

You can at a significant stretch say she is quirky, but smart? Come the fuck on 6. M internal dialogue is completed stupid so perhaps they are perfect for one another The part about body shaming a potential fat cop arresting her makes my blood boil more than anything else. Plus the terrible writing. Big fat no.

Brick takes on look at Bea and thinks mine. He however is a good cop and knows he can't just hit on a woman he pulled over for a traffic stop. When they disagree on what will happen now that she has been pulled over things get more interesting. This goes from a routine traffic stop to a hostage situation. Will these two make it out alive and if they do can they find their HEA? This is a super hot story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

The perils of running that red light Well maybe it is not really a peril but a joy of running that red light as Bea does. Fun Story-A Cop with a Big......Heart. This book had me laughing out loud and gasping with shock or perhaps envy over one of the steamy sex scenes in particular. Both smart women are what made these stories so much fun. I read the Librarian and the Cop in one sitting. Bea was quite the character and I could really relate to some of her struggles. Beatrice ( Bea ) is going to be late for work again she’s going to be fired if she doesn’t get there on time so she drives through a red light but suddenly a cop car comes along sirens and all so Bea gets pulled over great she’s definitely going to get fired now. Brick gets out of the cop car as soon as he see’s the big beautiful woman he wants her but he needs to be professional and not grab her and throw her in the back of her car and strip her naked but instead he tells her to watch the light Beatrice ( Bea ) is going to be late for work again she’s going to be fired if she doesn’t get there on time so she drives through a red light but suddenly a cop car comes along sirens and all so Bea gets pulled over great she’s definitely going to get fired now. The curvy beauty’s car won’t start if that’s not the universe telling him something about the woman then he doesn’t know what. I loved Bea’s and Brick’s fairly quick story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Brick and Bea set off at a fast and furious pace! Bea, a librarian is late for work. She can’t be late again or she will lose her job. If she loses her job, she will lose her apartment. Rick is the cop who pulls her over for running a red light. But then wham! He can’t control his hormones because she’s everything he wants and needs, a BBW. She ends up going on a call with him because he car stalls and everything bad starts happening with the exception of the lust/love between these two. This is one wild ride I was happy to go along on! It is extremely entertaining, captivating, funny, and interesting. A well written fast pace page-turner with a well-developed storyline that will take you on an adventure of danger and a surprising twist that will make you ask, “wow, did that just happen”? Honestly i do love Annabell Winters books, but even though this was good, it didnt seem that great to me. While it had a good HEA and it was hot the storyline when i first read it was a bit all over the place. So i re read it and it was better second time round, but between meeting each other and getting locked in the laundry basement it seems that rash decisions are made all around.. This is only my opinion, and im sure others will not agree with it, and if you want to one click go ahead, im sur Honestly i do love Annabell Winters books, but even though this was good, it didnt seem that great to me. Brick and Beatrice This is an awesome story. This is the second book in the series and the writing is awesome as always. It’s fun and quirky. Brick is a cop and Beatrice (Bea) is a librarian who is running late for work and runs a red light. Brick pulls her over but can’t seem to keep his mind from wandering towards her. There are many surprises, twists and turns to keep the reader fully engaged. Read the book. I think you will enjoy it. Wow, talk about get out of my dreams get into my car! This is an instant-love story and a wonderful romance that offers lots of humor, action and sweetness. Brick and Bea's attraction was strong and their chemistry generated lots of sparks. Will Brick and Bea figure out a happily ever after This is my 10th book by Annabelle and I love her stories as can read them in one sitting! Bea can’t afford to be late to work, so goes through a light only to be pulled over by Brick, the police officer. Brick is attracted to Bea instantly, and Bea is feeling tingles just looking at him. Brick let’s her go with a warning to watch those lights, but then Bea’s car won’t start. Then it’s another bad thing happening and when will it all stop? 4 stars I received a free copy of the novella Curvy for Him book 2: The Librarian and the Cop By Annabelle Winters and this review was given freely. Intensely over the top, dramatic, slightly twisted and ironic as only Annabelle Winters can do. The bungling dyslexic cop Brick pulls over the financially and time challenged librarian Beatrice resulting in a comedy of errors and errotic moments. 18+ recommended.

Enjoyed it! Who would have thought that having a bad day could turn into a happily ever after. Beatrice (BEA) is running late to work, gets pulled over, car breaks down. The only highlight of her horrible morning is the cop that pulls her over. She ends up in his (Brick) cop car. Both end up in hot water, only to have a hot romance together. This is the first book that I have read from this Author, and it was ok. The story didn't have real substance for me but the concept was cute. Many parts were very hard to believe but I needed to see how the story ended. The very real problem that many people have, is brought up in a way that makes your heart beat with so much emotion. I would have loved to have seen more character development. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
