    Honest budget friendly recipes Refreshing to read a cook book with recipes you can realistically cook on a budget. I nice reminder on how versatile basics like eggs, and porridge oats etc can be incorporated into family recipes.

    just had first read through this afternoon and I'm impressed : ) lots of sensible advice about eating in general not just when dieting and advice about portion sizes, calories, exercise and not just for adults. then the recipes are in chapters breakfast lunch dinner pudding snacks and drinks. then there is a planning chapter on sticking a store cupboard and basic kitchen equipment. Then follows a four week meal planner with shopping list for each week and then an 8 page index. I found lots of recipes I would like to try, some I have seen before in other books but the highlight for me is the pizza recipe. years ago i watched a BBC programme and they made a quick and simple pizza base using yogurt which we all loved but I then lost the recipe so I'm pleased as its in this book : ) there's a good mix of veg based, meat and fish recipes and they all seem straightforward and uncomplicated to cook.
