This book is incredible - a compulsive page turner. The transition and growth in Anne during the tumultuous times spoke volumes about her character, inner strength and poise. It was her honesty that strung my heart. I could sense her pain and craving for true love. The ending was heartbreaking. An excellent war-time documentation depicting the cruelty of World War II & Hitler and the sufferings of the people. Must read!

This book was really amazing to every single page. It kept me flipping the page wanting to know what would happen to Anne Frank and her family while they were hiding. I loved the rush it gave me that if they would get caught or not and how everyday they were fight to live to see another day. I would definitely read this again and any other books like this because it touched my heart of how lovely it was.

"Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl" was a book that I could read hours on end without getting bored. Anne Frank's entries made me intrigued in the actions taking place in World War II, hence that's around the time that the book takes place. It was a new perspective on how some people in the world, most commonly minorities, live. In the diary, the family had to pack up everything and leave all they've ever known, due to them being afraid of being caught and put into Concentration Camps. In the diary, the family had to pack up everything and leave all they've ever known, due to them being afraid of being caught and put into Concentration Camps. It just reminded me how lucky I am, because I do have a very fortunate life for the most part. The book felt like a made up story, but it wasn't. It was a diary made by a real girl, writing about real life situations. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in opening their eyes to the world's past, and have a compelling story to keep you interested in this young girl's life.

it was a very interesting book. I felt like I was with Anne the entire time. I recommend this book for kids and adults because not only does it teach you about Anne Frank, but the cruelty of World War II and Hitler. I hope that you will take this book into consideration because history is what makes us who we are. Not the people we want to be. Instead, the people that are lucky and are thankful for the life they are given. Anne Frank faced difficult times in her lifetime. She was scared each and it was a very interesting book. She was scared each and everyday when she and her family were hiding in the Secret Annex. Some people can't be thankful for what they have in everyday life, this book with humble them. Again, i seriously consider this book because it will fill your brains with knowledge of the world around you, and the world that helped form future generations. I rated this book five stars for a reason.

I think Anne frank’s Diary of a Young Girl is a life-changing book because it puts life into perspective and makes you realize how everything can change in a second so it is important to be grateful for the gifts that you have and never take your life and the people around you for granted. It also teaches the lesson that you should be kind to friends, family, and people in general because you never know when you will see them last. I am glad to have read this book because it’s part of history and the stories lived and told were incredible. I found the book long and dry. I understand the content is translated and also Anne’s own thoughts in her diary and it wasn’t written to be a novel. I found it extremely sad to know that she died so young after surviving in hiding for such a long time. She was very intelligent and well spoken for her age and I admired that about her. We all may have heard or learned about Anne Frank in our early years? or childhood. Even I remember learning about her in Middle School, but have we exactly read the novel that was published?? All the historical backgrounds we may already have in mind, however, by reading this it will change your perspective on how she viewed her life as a Jewish victim of the Holocaust. As she passes away at the age of 15, what kind of views did she have upon hiding in the apartment for 2 years in Amsterdam? This diary evoked feelings of outrage and sympathy. A human story which was told in a matter of fact way, not as a victim. Anne Frank deserved to have a childhood!

I truly believe that every single person should read this book. It is well written and gives insight on Anne’s life during the most horrific historic event (IMO). I felt it was a slow read and I couldn’t sit for long periods of time reading it as it was very much the same throughout. Obviously the book ends where Anne stopped writing which was resulted in a anticlimactic ending.

Heartbreaking and remarkable. Worth reading not out of pity, but to learn her way of thinking about the world - unique indeed. Thank you for your work, Anne - and I'm glad that your dream to become a journalist/ writer ultimately became true. Heartbreaking and remarkable. At the beginning of World War ll, before they had to start hiding Anne was a normal child living her childhood. The Germans would tell them to wear stars. Anne’s family knew that they had to go hide somewhere so the mother contacted one of their dad’s workers and asked him for a place where they can hide. Van Daan suggested the Annexe room in their dad’s office building. Life in in the Annexe is not easy because they had no water, only bread and coffee they bought at a black market with the little money they had left. They always had to be very careful to make no noise and they all had to give up on some things. They had to give up on all their stuff at home and they had to give up on living alone scince Anne is sharing her room with her dentist Mr.Dussel. Anne is also living with the Van Daans, Mr.Dussel, Margot, Her Mom and her Dad.

Anne Frank is truly an inspiration, especially for someone who wants to write (as do I). I loved her writing; for a young girl, she seemed highly intelligent. I could not imagine living under the circumstances she was - she did not step outside for years! Some of her passages were simply describing her day, whilst others were her deepest thoughts. Overall, her diary is simply beautiful and sad, all at the same time. A definite must read.

I thought the book was very interesting. Although some of the language used was difficult to comprehend, I learned a lot about the point of view from someone living in the 1940's. It also helped me contrast how different 13-15 year olds today are than how they were 70 years ago. Overall, this book helped me learn more about WWII/Holocaust and I may read it again sometime in the future. I thought the book was very interesting. I thought this book had a lot of exitment mostly in the middle but, I gave only four stars because it kinda took a long time to get to the point. Then at the end it didn't explain everything. It was kind of sad and everything. I wish it could explain more about the ending.
