The government and the underworld have finally learned their lesson about not taking on James Brownstone, but some enemies will never learn.  Some enemies can only be destroyed. James and Shay’s wedding is fast approaching, as is the bounty hunter’s semi-retirement. He’s ready to replace butt-kicking with barbecue, convinced he can have a life filled with something o The government and the underworld have finally learned their lesson about not taking on James Brownstone, but some enemies will never learn.  Some enemies can only be destroyed. James and Shay’s wedding is fast approaching, as is the bounty hunter’s semi-retirement. He’s ready to replace butt-kicking with barbecue, convinced he can have a life filled with something other than constant violence. Do the sins of a world weigh on a single man? The Vax don’t care about barbecue, Shay, or Earth.  The fanatical race is only interested in one thing: purging a heretic and a threat to their people. And now they’re on his trail.  Anyone who gets in their way is nothing more than another threat to be eliminated. A brutal attack on Oriceran leads to accusations that the United States is sheltering a monster, which causes a rise in tension between Earth and the planet of magic. Brownstone’s secrets have protected him, but can he explain away death and destruction accomplished using his powers? As James’ darkest nightmare begins to unfold, the ultimate challenge appears before him.  The government and the Alliance have their own plans, and they’ll require sacrifices for the greater good, starting with making a certain barbecue-loving bounty hunter risk everything. James is used to being able to take on anyone and win, but he’s finally facing off against a remorseless foe with all of his strengths and none of his weaknesses. With his country, family, and planet on the line, it’s time for the final battle. Will James be able to claim victory without sacrificing himself?

The end of Mr. Brownstone. This was a great ending for the series. Of course there are all the other connected series you can read. Can not wait for the Brownstone BBQ installments.

A battle to end all battles! Brownstone is back, and does he have his hands full! Everything in the previous books leads up to this battle, and what a battle! The story is masterfully told, with sub-plots and side stories seamlessly integrated into the main plot involving Brownstone. Everything is tied up neatly in the last book for the series, and I’m happy that we will continue to see James & Co in future books.

Good bye and good riddance. Normally give list of series and/or all interlocked stories, but no use, as there are more and more offshoots to the ones mentioned and more as time goes on. I know the name of the writer and will make sure to not read any more of any of his, total waste of time, so many issues including having a 'just in time' team that don't even catch typos and other issues and problems yet demand legally blind reader that does catch them to take the time to list them out, which so not going to happen.

1 faux pas. Huge (to me...and every other Marine out there) First, I want to say, that I absolutely Love this series! And I'm sad it's over. :-( I have been pleasantly surprised with all of the phrasing and terminology pertaining to the Marines. It's heartwarming to have an author who has looked into such nuances. The Marines have a different outlook, if you will, on how things are done and said. However, one fatal error. You said "ex-Marine". You would use the term former Marine or just Marine. I 1 faux pas. It takes a lot of Blood Sweat and Tears to earn that Eagle, Globe and Anchor... You never lose the title of Marine. This might seem silly to some but any other Marine reading this I'm sure is nodding their head. Thank you for such an amazing series! I can't wait to read more of your books!!!

Very Satisfying What a remarkably satisfying and tidy ending. I have only one complaint, and it is kind of a double edges sword; our dear Author likes to introduce characters moments before their demise. It's nice when it's a baddie, it's heartbreaking when it's a good guy and his friend and the whole town they defend. This series showed a good and steady about of positive character development. There is something incredibly reassuring and satisfying about that. Thank you.

Going out With a Bang!! The title says it all. There is a war of four worlds which holds some very cool moves by the humans. No spoilers! But I will say that the book does catch us up to Alison in her current timeline as a 20-something. This story will blow your socks off with all the surprises and plot twists and these continue through the last paragraph of the book! So hang on for a great last ride with James Brownstone. He goes out with a bang!

Bravo! Mike, you've really outdone yourself with this one. Each time that it starts to appear that you're turning James into a Mary Sue, something comes along to remind us that power is, ultimately, just another tool that can be used for good or evil depending entirely on the wielder. But, all in all, it's inconsequential when compared to the strength of humanity. THAT is running theme in almost every single book or series that you put out and i thank you for that. Bravo! The Vax shows up and JB puts the smack down. Love how the Vax are the only ones who it took 1 time for them to say. Fuck it this is JB lets not piss him off any more than we have to... He might just come looking for us. Every one else just has to keep poking the bear until the bear decides that it needs to eat what ever is poking it. I love Whispy in this one. He is like VAX!! KILL!!!!! KILL! Like a teenage spider faced with a spider. He doesn't want it dead he wants it DEAD. The Vax shows up and JB puts the smack down. Awesome ending to a great series “Life. Love. Family. Friendship.” This sums up the character James Brownstone. I absolutely loved this series and I will definitely recommend to all who want a great kick butt hero who ends up saving the world and 18 books latter finally gets his happy ever after. Wonderful writing that will keep all captivate and wanting to read again and again. Happy reading!

Fantastic!! Four worlds collide and that better not interfere with the wedding!! Space ships, flying castles, and Jame's unruly bio family...sounds like a party! Loved this ending to this chapter in the Brownstone world. I look forward to reading on about the life he is building as a husband and some other surprises I'm not sharing, don't want to spoil a few great surprises! Hint: BBQ may or may not be involved. Is The Best Man The Groom? James is about to get married to Shay. Can the best man to save the world be the groom? The Vax are coming. Will James be strong enough to win against someone just like him? I like the action, snarky humor, and romance. Although this is the last book in the series, I look forward to reading a few stories in the future.

What a great ending to the Brownstone Saga (or is it?) As always, MA excels! What a great ending to this series of books. I can't wait to see in future associated books what happens regarding What's little bombshell. The story sucked me in, I cried, I laughed. At the end I spit out my tea. G,F&A I hope this is not the last brownstone book as Michael has hinted it isn't - maybe some about a descendant or two is a possibility - hint, Michael. This is one of the best of the brownstone saga, well worth the read. If you're wondering about the obscure review title above, try thinking MASH. What a great ride! This book wrapped the series up nicely. I will miss the characters and the action. I love the Oriceran universe and can't wait for the next series you spoke of in your authors notes. I would recommend this series to everyone and will have to catch up with Alison Brownstone until then. What a great ride! This book wrapped the series up nicely. Wonderful way to end this series This was so entertaining. Lots of action, some personal issues resolved. I love James and Shay more and more with every book. I'm happy that we will be hearing more of them in the future, even though this book is the conclusion of the main series. Love this series This was a bittersweet book for me. I have read the entire series and loved them all. This one however ends the series as it should end which I loved, lol I really didn't expect the very end! As much as I love James and Shay getting what they deserve, I am sad to see them go... Holy crap!!! What a freaking ride!! I couldn't put this book down, more to the point, I couldn't put my Kindle down, I just HAD to finish it once I started it. Non-stop action and James came face to face with his greatest foe - his own race! The Nine Systems Alliance had to poke their noses in and cause some trouble too. Not going to give any spoilers, but WOW, I'm still reeling. Holy crap!!! What a freaking ride!! Worth the wait Love James Brownstone and his cast of characters. Sometimes a book reads like a movie in your mind. It had everything, action mixed with 👽. The apocalypse and the government with a plan that worked ( highly improbable) but so much fun.
