The anticipated book six of the Men of Whiskey Row Series left this reader with much to be desired. It was a good book, it just had so many moving parts. At one point I got a bit lost and confused. I was expecting a book about the love between Holton Brammer and Katerina Romankov like I got with Jack/Noelle, Darby/Avery, and Casey/Sidra. Sometime to understand the present we must go back; however, the story didn't flow from past to present as it had in previous books.  Some words used by the author didn't fit like 'aureole' is a circle of light or brightness surrounding something, especially as depicted in art around the head or body of a person represented as holy. I think she meant 'areola' as in anatomy-a small circular area, in particular, the ring of pigmented skin surrounding a nipple. The best part of this book is D.J. Sullivan, Sidra going into labor, Kat kicking a$$ and taking names, and Avery/Darby's not so secret pregnancy. This book ends in suspense, well sort of. We learn who Madam Lalita is but what we don't know is how she fits into this picture.  It took me three days to read this book. Would I recommend...yes. This book is still a good read; however, it could have been better.

Holt & Kat So this was took a while for me to get into. I have loved all of D. A. Young's books. This one was my least favorite. I felt it was drawn out and just not a favorite of mine. Another great read in this series as far as I am concerned. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I cannot wait to read book 7 which I hope will not take as long as book 6 to appear. Definitely worth a read!

Good This was a good read. Like all of the Row stories this one was well received by me. Kat was a bit much but as things progressed she grew on me. There was too much "I am woman hear me roar." And not enough compromise in her. Maybe it was her age and with time will come growth and maturity. I hope she matures. I didn't like the dynamic between her and Holt. I cannot wait to see/read the evolution of Kat. I hope she and Sidra mature since they are my least favorite characters in the series. I love the connecting stories and how they weave everyone in. I love the new family editions with the babies; DJ and Ruby are my favs but I think Liam is going to be in that mix as well. Darby and Ms. Avery remain my FAVORITE couple followedby Vive and The Wolf. I cannot wait for Vivenne's next story. I'm also waiting for Guy's story. I hope he doesn't leave the Row. No breaking up the crew Mrs. Young. I cannot wait for Zo and Blaise story. I also cannot wait for Cruz to get his story. I have been waiting too long for Guy's story. I hope that one comes soon. Also, I hope we get to see how Autumn and Tucker fell in love and see if their family issues get resolved. There are so many stories from this series that I am waiting on. I hope the author eventually, sooner rather than later, gets around to telling them. Her books are so spaced out one forgets one is following a series of 2 or 3 by the time the next book drops. Anywho, as y'all can see I am a fan. I highly recommend this book and the others. Until next time, happy reading.

A little too much Sigh!! This story was a little too much. Now, I love this author books and have read all of them. With that being said, this story felt disconnected for me. It may have been better if the past was in a novella prequel, so that Holt and Katerina's love could grow and feel more prevalent. It was good learning about Holt and his family and learn about his past. The ending was unexpected, so looking forward to seeing how things work out.

I must admit I enjoyed the twist and turns of the plot for this story. However, I must admit that I missed the back and forth banter between the Sullivan Brother and their friends (Guy & Holton)....it wasn't enough of it in this story for me....I'm now interested in the next story to see how Vivienne and the Madame (who I believe is her mother) will forge a relationship. Good read....Long as ever (over 600 pages & audio is over 18 hours) so braces yourselves. I must admit I enjoyed the twist and turns of the plot for this story. Loved it Holt and Kat story it was exciting and suspenseful. I would have not guessed the villain myself if I had not seen it with my own eyes. Well done Miss Young and the ending was an surprise and left me wanting more.

I’ve found another awesome series! All of the characters were well developed and I was able to finish the series (so far) in a matter of days. It’s just that good. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Too much going on. Story line had too much going on. Book came across unfocused with too many plot lines. Started to skip several pages at a time. Could not wait to get to end of the book. Not because of wanting to find out the ending but because I was bored. I hope the next book in the series gets back to the quality of the others in the series.

Overly long This is an epic. Some what long and rambling at times, sub plot after sub plot, sometimes confusing and I had to go back and reread parts to try to grasp the tie in’s. Over all not bad, but would be better broken into two reads.

My least favorite book I loved all of the other books. This one just had way too much going on. It felt like it had about 50 characters. It jumped around so much, confused me and took away from Kat and Holt.

Holton Brammer’s and Katerina Romankov’s love story was a long time coming; The Woodsman and the Princess. Having Holt’s backstory and dysfunctional family dynamic makes everything come together. Blamed for something that’s not his fault, keeps Holt always at odds with his maternal grandfather and his oldest cousin, Otto. Their desire to break him and jealousy doesn’t diminish his honor and obligation to his family. Their antics only fortifies his strength and love for his parents Rudii/Elin and childhood friends, the Sullivans/ Romankovs. We get a closer look at Kat and what makes her the smart, intelligent, strong woman she is. As the “baby” of the family, she’s in a constant battle of wills with the smothering alpha males in her family. Her love for Holt is almost all consuming and sometimes gives her pause. But through it all, we see Kat mature even more. These two have been brewing from day one and it’s good to see them get their HEA. Good to see some of our friends from Baymoor! Tucker “Tuck” Rydell definitely needs his own story. Wonder what Alexi will do to Cruz when he finds out how Madam Lalita got copies of the wedding pictures! As usual, D. A. has left us with anticipation for what’s to come. Guy moving to Baymoor sounds like more adventure and love. Hopefully someone will put Pearl in her place and out of her misery. Looks like Vivienne has some skeletons coming out of the closet! I always knew there was a story there. Yes ma’am, Whiskey Row is on and poppin’!

WOW, Bravo, Bravo, we are not worthy "min drottning👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌 I must say that when I pick up this book, I was somewhat not as eager as I though I was going to be, reading about Kat's and Holton's story, but after a slow start, it became pretty good. All of the stories in this series were top notch, and these were awsome. Holt is my favorite alpha besides Alexi. He is it. I am a little bit partial to a man with a Thor look alike but I believe holt would have been it no matter what he looked like. While being the "woodsman" he was so compassionate,so manly, so virile, so hummy, that I personally want my own Thor from now on.... As for Kat, man, sometimes it galls me to see some people taking there very well life for granted. Kat had it all, looks, family, money, love and support, but she had todo plain about them smothering her.... Shoot, I would love to have a bunch of hunks and all smother me every single day..... She was very independent and the move she made to Lalita, I could have spank her. She lost my love there for her. How could she?? What of Holton's??? In any case, in true form of MS. Young, she not only bought everything back in full circle, she left us with a preview of what's next for the added characters in this story. Will we still have Wiskey Row, or are we moving this show somewhere else. Wonder if Blaise going to pick Zoraida up or.... How about Thea, will she be speaking Spanish soon? And Cruz, where will he be? And what happened to Guy's car window? And Mme. Lalita, who is she truly.... Man, so many new characters and new stories and coming from this author, we know they will all be the bomb.... Can't wait!!! We are not worthy, min drottning, so not worthy!!!

It was good to read that Alexei and Vivienne Romankov solved their problems and reunited their marriage and family with Kat and the Sullivan boys and their wives and ever-expanding family. Kat was the apple of her father's and brothers' eyes and that was the biggest reason Holt kept his distance from Kat until they could no longer resist the pull. Holt knew that he wanted Kat for the rest of his life, after all, she was his "min drottning" and he was her "min kung." They were so cute together and were determined they would not consummate their relationship until they said "I do," which they did even though there were forces making it very difficult for them to stay together. It tickled me how everyone underestimated Kat's ability to defend and take care of herself. It was interesting to see how she thwarted her attempted kidnapping. She showed them. D.A. Young wrote a very detailed story that was well plotted, bringing in characters and storylines from previous Whiskey Row books, and tied them seamlessly into this story. The ending of this book had me reeling and took me by surprise. I was not expecting Madam Lalita in the end. Did Vivi recognize her? And Matty's wife Cleo.... boy. The Falk family was not the only messed up family, the Bergqvist family was just as messed up. The next Whiskey Row book should be interesting. There were enough hints in this book for several to come.

I love the Whiskey Row series and have been waiting on this story FOREVER. Katerina is the baby of the family and the princess. Holt is a skilled master carpenter by trade and a killer by familial ties. All he wants is Kat and all she wants is him. This story has so many layers because on the surface it is a romance story but when you dig in honey it is family drama, intrigue, a claim to independence, babies, love and betrayal. Holt is the enforcer for his family house. He doesn’t want to be but that is his duty. The family patriarch is Ivar and he has no shame. He is cunning and ruthless and constantly manipulates the family. He finally corners Holt and has him return to Sweden to avenge a family death. Holt & Ivar do not get along but he agrees to leave for a year. Kat is pissed because they are supposed to be getting married. She strikes out to New York to work for her role model and she blossoms as a jewelry designer, but she still loves and misses Holt. They both return to the Row for the birth of baby Moira and they reconnect and get it popping. When he returns to Sweden she goes with him and things get real interesting. What I loved about this book was the layers. I loved that Katerina was a bad ass in her own right and she fought to be independent from her powerful father Alexi. I love that DA painted such a beautiful picture of Sweden with her words that you could visualize it. I was a little thrown off by Kat and Holt using “slang” but I’ll give it a pass because the book was amazing. If you have not read this series, then you are missing out on life. You should Read This Book

The Row!!!! I knew it couldn't go on forever, but it still hurts. This was a fantastic way to go though. The Woodsman was no joke! Although Darby is my BBD (book baby daddy), I think Holt's character is the bad assed-est. Yep, I said it. His dual persona is a magnificent thing to behold. Wonderfully written with no holes or "what's going on" moments . Just a well thought out plot with yummy characters to bring it to life. I'm gonna miss this crew but I'm sure we'll see more of them in the future. I definitely wouldn't mind more Darby time, and D.J. and his antics alone needs a book. The epilogue was perfect to me, boo-hooin' BBD and all. Also the little hints at what's to come, yessss, I'm all kinds of ready. Wouldn't be mad at being sprinkled with a bit of Pixie Dust either😉. Fantastic job as usual, but I've come to expect nothing less from this exceptionally talented author.

One another note: Hplt’s personality did feel a little different, because he was a man with little words and mysterious. Getting to know him more was steamy, but I don’t know about Kat. I think it was more so the dialogue between the two was a little too sweet and sappy and almost overbearing, but I read passed it not skipping a word. No lie Mr.s Young took me for loop with the twists (notate that plural not singular) in this story because for once I was pleasantly surprised on both front’s. I can’t wait for the other stories and hopefully we don’t have to wait too long.....I am literally dying of thirst! ;)

No. I have enjoyed most of the works by this author. This is simply the worst one. The author was all over the place, with so many characters and plots with subplots within subplots that I had to use the kindle search to get a hand on the characters. The primary characters were minimal and add into the mess, was the catching up on all of the other characters. I felt no connection or enjoyment of the primary characters because the author did not spend the time to reintroduce the characters and we No. I have enjoyed most of the works by this author. The author spent more time on their sexual interactions, which were over the top and not quite there, and none on the growth and development of their characters, which engages the reader. The h character was so boring opinionated and constantly preaching about how bad she was and what she would take or not take. Very unlikable and pretentious. Add into the mix, juvenile language. This was really a bad read and I had the hardest time finishing this book. Read the other books; skip this one and if you decide to read, adjust your expectations.

I really enjoy this book. It does have a different feel towards it compare to the other books. Not a bad one, but one that you can tell was written with a whole another view towards it. I'm happy the couple got their HEA but I'm stuck with more questions than answers once I finished the novel...It was great catching up with the Sullivan family too. DJ is the cutest kid. Put all of that aside for now cause a sista wants Guy & Fern's story (soon please). I can wait for the mystery surrounding Madame Lalita and Cruz; I need to know what's going to happen with Guy and Fern. It's Pip's turn! Guy and Fern! Guy and Fern! Guy and Fern!

The Woodsman In Charge A no holds barred story that is diverse in it's plot structure and a robust storyline. Holton is uniquely complex, possessive, protective and a total alpha. Kat holds her own with her feisty attitude and independence. There are a lot of plots and subplots to this book that keeps you on edge with surprises and eye raising moments. I love the continued camaraderie of friends, family love, loyalty we have come to love in the Whiskey Row series. Let's go D.A. If only a place like Whiskey Row truly existed in this cruel cruel world in which we live in. This book was just as good as every D.A. Young book. Holt and Kat's story was a slow burn. It was a more laid back look at how to romance the hell out of woman! I enjoyed every page and love the dynamic of the supporting cast from previous books. Kat's come backs are always on point. D.J. and Sidra keeps the laughs going and now you added the best friend Autumn...hilarious! Holt Do. Not. Pl Let's go D.A. Cruz's book. Lincoln and Savy. India and Hudson. Jayda and Tommy's book. So many characters to get my anxiety to rise.

Absolutely brilliant story well worth the wait I've loved Kat and Holt since they started noticing each other in one of the beautiful stories about Whiskey Row TN. Their love story was so worth the wait, with all the characters dead or alive developed so well you feel like this a film rather than a book. I can't express how I laughed out load, got emotional, angry and totally captivated by Kat and Holt's love for one another in this instalment of One of the BEST series I've ever read. I couldn't put it down and wanted it to go on forever. Talking about so many surprises and twist and turns. I was dad to see it ended cause I was so ready to read more. It's gonna be so hard to wait until next year to be able to catch up and see how much more drama is going to happen next and wow I can just see it already Woo wee This book was just too amazing. Fantastic Like every book that D.A. Young has writen this one was excellent. I've read them all and love them all but I think this one is my favorite Whiskey Row book. I love everything about Holt and what he stands for. His grandfather was an evil bastard that only wanted to control and manipulate everyone to do his will his way but Holt wasn't having it. Holt bowed down for no one except Kat. She was his everything. She can handle herself just as well as her brothers thanks to her best friend T Fantastic Like every book that D.A. She was his everything. She can handle herself just as well as her brothers thanks to her best friend Tuck. The plot and storyline was on point. This book had me laughing, crying scared and mad and I loved it and every emotion I endured. I know there is so much more to come and I can't wait.💖💙
