This book feels like one of the great life-hacks of health and wellness. That's all I got. Its techniques can apply as life lessons or keys to general wellness, mindfulness, awareness of body, yada yada yada. But the fact that it hones in on the most fearful, taboo part with a casual audacity is extraordinary. So, dive right in, learn plenty, and find that inner peace. Wonderfully written with TONS of resources about non-sexual anal health and non-sexual wellness. Not just a buttbook, but a hand This book feels like one of the great life-hacks of health and wellness. That's all I got. Wonderfully written with TONS of resources about non-sexual anal health and non-sexual wellness. Not just a buttbook, but a handbook as well. And, in some chapters, a hand-in-butt-book. So good, so useful, and great to go back to. A true treasure.

Wow! This book is so great! First of all, as the title implies, this book is NOT just about anal intercourse or other forms of anal sex. It is about anal pleasure and health. Most of us only think of our anuses when there is a problem, but this book teaches folks how to care for their anuses in order to cure and prevent problems. This book is for you if you already have anal problems you want to make sure you don't develop anal problems you are interested in pleasuring your own anus you are interested Wow! Make this your butt bible, and you can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

I think Billy from chapter four says it best: "Since I've started paying attention to my anus, I've developed a 'buddy, buddy' feeling about it. It's the last part of my body I've gotten to know. My connection with myself is now more complete." I think Billy from chapter four says it best: "Since I've started paying attention to my anus, I've developed a 'buddy, buddy' feeling about it. This is so good! I learned a lot about my butthole, would recommend the book to everyone with some caveats (i.e., it is quite cisnormative, people with penises and testicles are described with male pronouns and vice versa). It starts with a long, interesting and useful section about anal health and awareness and is worth the read for this part alone, even if you're not interested in the 'anal pleasure' part of the title. But that part is great, too. I have never really enjoyed anal penetration a This is so good! I have never really enjoyed anal penetration and decided long ago that anal sex just wasn't my thing, but I have been working through Morin's exercises and, well, I am reconsidering.

Extremely practical guidance about a topic that is sadly so taboo. Moris' approach is so plain-spoken and direct, it is hard to imagine a better foil to those irrational misgivings so many have about assholes. A great guide and definitely a book I will return to in the future when I'm not on a bike tour and can more actively participate with the exercises. If you want to have anal sex you should read this book. Good advice without making the entire idea a turn off.

The 1-5 Star Review is the total of what I have to say about this book, specifically. Caveat: This review is historical/archival in nature. It was likely in the neighborhood of twenty years ago when I read this. Date read is speculative. This book is one of many non-fiction books I have read about human sexuality. At some point in my youth, I consumed a large swath of this reading material -- most of which was scholarly, clinical, or instructional in nature. On the other hand, there's not much new under the sun.

Talk about a taboo topic, however, incredibly informative. This book is so well researched and professionally presented. I learned so much and have appreciated learning the material.

I guess I am tempted not to publish a review because of worries about what someone else would think, but that silence only feeds the anal taboo that this book discusses at length. This book, despite its typos, is loaded with valuable information and advice.
