I’ve loved this authors books from the first time I read them. Each book brings a guy on the teams their own hea. Knowing the guys and their ladies was a fascinating journey. But something was missing. We needed closure for Derrick. I knew this book would be emotional but hot damn! This was good. Getting to know Derrick better was eye opening. His background and what made him the way he was literally had me in tears! The strength he showed to turn his life around was inspirational. When he meets his girl, who also by the way has had her fair share of trauma, I was jumping for joy. She fit him perfectly. Her son helped mend something precious within him and gave him unconditional love too. I’m so glad we got to have closure with this book. Awesome book.

Another one... I’m lost for words... while I’m still crying for the ride I have been taken on in this read. This one as nothing to envy to the other stories of the series. I loved Hawk, Brett... and the others as equally (I really can’t choose, they are so good guys) that I was feeling their grievances toward Derrick. And couldn’t imagine a way to redeem such personage. Well the author did it, hands down. I was rooting for Derrick to find peace and love just after the first chapters. Such resiliency, such desire to get out of a past he doesnt want to be assimilated to. Such fortitude! Mrs Reasor has that writting skill that makes you dive deep and fast into it seems the life of a real person not a fictional character. And I felt like part of the story as if I was living it through myself sharing the dreams and desires, hopes and pains and sufferings the characters are going through. And that’s what reading a good book is about. The pleasure of this emotional roller coaster. I just (again) loved that book, and incredibly, love Derrick. Congrats to the author, it was a real pleasure to read. And thanks to have brought such goodness into Derreck’s life, the way he owned up his mistakes and changed so completely proved that he deserved that happy ending. As usual, I wish that book was longer. It seemed shorter than the previous one in the serie. But I guess that when something is good I always want more.

Eight years ago we were introduced to a 7 man SEAL team. At the end of the first book we knew that one of them had betrayed the team and had also left one of them fighting for his life. Its now been 7 years and we finally find out what happened all those years ago and what kind of man Derrick Armstrong is now that he's done his time behind bars. First off the cover of this book depicts Derrick perfectly. A man tortured. He was so enraged with paranoia and anger from his abusive upbringing and his PTSD from his time in the Navy. Not a good combination but 7 years of therapy has him owning up to his mistakes and learning to cope with his anger. The Derrick we get in this book is nothing like the one we first met all those books ago. Other than the first chapter and a small bit at the end this book just deals with Derricks current life as he is struggling to work a night job while going to school during day to get his welders license. Its during his night time job as a tow truck driver that he meets, along with saving, Ella Bailey whose nefarious boss was trying to rape her. Both Derrick and Ella, a single mom, have been beaten down by life but they refuse to let it beat them. They connect emotionally and have to work hard to both open themselves up emotionally but they are what the other needs to finally heal their pains of the past.

Circumstances in Derek's career have left him dishonorably discharged from the Navy. A sad and possibly preventable occurrence had steps been taken early enough. Ella struggles daily to make ends meet, her boss is a jerk and is constantly hitting on her. Then there's the day he goes too far. Fortunately for Ella, Derek is the one that comes to her aid, and he does it in a way that can change things. Not only for her but also for the others working there. As this book progresses Derek is approached to aid in an investigation, and Ella falls into a job she's not sure she wants. Ella is a great mother and has been through so much. Derek also wants to gain forgiveness from his former SEAL team something that seems impossible. Their journeys are compelling and their romance even more so. Once again Teresa Reasor has given us a story filled with action, compassion, sizzling heat and more! I now have to go back and catch up on this series, I've missed a couple.

Breaking Chains The last in the original SEAL Team Heartbreakers series was everything I hoped it would be. I forgave Derrick for what he did if you read the first you would know read this series and see how it affected everyone if you had ten stars i would have rated it that. Show that you are better than the person who was the abuser, get help for it and tell them I'm better than you are. At the end of the book i wanted to hug Derrick so hard and say I forgive you that part of your life is over now start fresh i don't hate you anymore. This was your best book yes you made me cry but to forgive you want nothing but life long happiness for him, sorry this is so long but it is what i felt thank you for that.

What a great ending to a fantastic series. I can not imagine what it took to write Derek’s book. Few authors would attempt to write a romantic suspense featuring the “bad guy” of a series. There is no way in the early days of the series that I could that I would have imagine that I would come to understand, much less mostly forgive him for, his betrayal of his team. I made friends, laughed, cried and cheered for seven years, seven novels but it will not end because this series is a definite reread. I got to read an ARC but I also bought a copy because I loved it.

I've only read a couple of the books in this series, they standalone so I had no trouble following the story. Derrick seemed familiar and that's because he caused a bit of trouble for the Team in an earlier book, this story is the aftermath from that situation. His life has changed for the better, especially when he meets Ella. Single mom struggling to make end meet turns her life around with his encouragement. A great story with a bit of excitement and closure for a couple of situations. Ella w I've only read a couple of the books in this series, they standalone so I had no trouble following the story. A great story with a bit of excitement and closure for a couple of situations. Ella was a strong character and her son was funny and portrayed accurately as a seven year old. My copy came through the author, review was voluntarily written.

This book had me on the edge of my seat more than once. I liked reading about the journey that both Derrick and Ella went through. When you have issues from the past that unfortunately influence the future, that’s hard to move on from. Watching these two not only overcome their pasts but both come out on the other side even better, made me happy for them. I also liked that Derrick found the closure he was looking for. I really enjoyed this book.

This is the final story in in the Seal Team Heartbreakers series. This is Derricks story. After getting out of prison after 7 years, he attempts to pick up the pieces of his broken life. He meets Ella and the attraction is instant. She is a single mother with a 7 year old son who has her own sad story. It is a heartwarming story of Derricks struggles to repair his life and apologise to his former teammates!!! A very satisfying conclusion!!! I LOVED IT!!!!

Impressive If you had told me when this series started that I would want redemption for Derrick Armstrong, I would have called you a liar. Somehow this author took a broken man, illustrated his past and where he was when it went wrong. By doing so, she made him someone to root for. It was a reminder that sometimes we do the wrong thing, pay the price and deserve to move on. I loved that he made no excuses and owned up to his part. This was a well done book.

Dynamite conclusion!! What a fitting conclusion to this Heartbreakers series. I have longer hoped that we would get a more detailed look into Derrick's life to understand why he betrayed his team. His story was so compelling I couldn't help but show compassion and he finally found a family in Ella and Micah and was able to get closure with his former SEAL team members. Dynamite conclusion!! I really like that in this story Derrick acknowledges, regrets and accepts that he did something really bad and was punished for it. I also like that he is working to move past his mistake(s) and strives to have a productive future along with finding love and a family. Hard lessons learned but heartwarming that there are ways to change your life and get back on the right path.

Very anticlimactic Not really a good read. Very choppy and disjointed like the author was just trying to hurry and finish. The best book in the series was about Flash, it actually had suspense and good context. Most of the books, i skipped several pages. Some of the “scenes” seemed to be just cut and pasted from book to book. Won’t read anymore.
