This was a pleasant surprise of a book. I’ve read and discussed the Enneagram quite a bit, and didn’t necessarily expect this to bring anything new to the table. However I really appreciated how the author examined many different sides of each type, including their strategy, defense mechanism, manipulation, speaking style and self image. It brought some fresh insights, while being an easy and fun read.

If you’re looking for a quick guide to the different enneagram types this is a great, accessible read. Nate’s enneagram test, which maps out your tendencies on a graph, is even more useful for seeing how you interact with others and the world.
