“They’ll be a bad moon rising tonight.” A delightful murder-mystery, a great read, fast, engaging mystery with a good dose of humanity and action galore. The idílic description of the landscape is thorough, together with snaps of American history and the eternal Middle East conflict. The characters are vivacious, in their youthful teens. Sally Ann may seem the typical dumb blonde stereotype, but she’s smart, sensitive and warm hearted, while Tanella is the intelligent, intelectual with a high IQ o “They’ll be a bad moon rising tonight.” A delightful murder-mystery, a great read, fast, engaging mystery with a good dose of humanity and action galore. The idílic description of the landscape is thorough, together with snaps of American history and the eternal Middle East conflict. Sally Ann may seem the typical dumb blonde stereotype, but she’s smart, sensitive and warm hearted, while Tanella is the intelligent, intelectual with a high IQ one. They complement each other perfectly. This book brought back memories of the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton which I so loved in my youth! It’s a wonderful and refreshing story, fun to read, full of suspense and intrigue, with many humorous scenes, witty and fun dialogue. It had filled me with chilling, scary moments and lots of laughter too. The teens go through thrilling adventures, Sherlock Holmes like detective deductions, persecution,..Tom Shepherd has demonstrated his expertise in writing exceptionally well with whichever genre he proposes to write, I may even say at Agatha Christie’s level! I wasn’t expecting less from him! Congratulations, Dr. Tom!

Since it took awhile to remember how to break .mobi s to post the book elsewhere, this review is later than normal. Also since I bought the book, I believe it is mine to place where I see fit. iBooks, SmashWords, and Kobo, should have my review soon. I never thought that I d be hacking again since I gave up on computer espionage in the 1980s. I had the best boss then. Title: ~ Prelude to It Came Out of the Sky ~ We re introduced to the narrator of this book as a “Chatty Cathy” -however just as the day starts to unfold- we see that she is actually Murphy s twin sister. Someone really should ve taught her how to introduce herself to royalty. Nothing like a subtle reference back to book 1 of the “Origin” series. More than once or twice throughout the book, however, you can slide over them and not really realize that they are there. After reading some of Dr. Tom s other books, while I have a few ideas of what happened in the storyline, I ll keep it to myself and see if I was right. I was partially right, and you really should buy this book to learn about mysteries, history, some temporal travel, and even a little romance. There s even a veiled threat at the end that may have you concerned about the Middle East stability. Particularly if a certain individual has her way ....

Two young girls figure out the mysteries. This book keeps you on your toes. First because there is more than one mystery going on, second because there our numerous antagonists and third because the two amateur detectives that are 14 years old. Read and enjoy.

It's a mystery! Okay, " It's a mystery " is my favorite line from " Shakespeare In Love", but this book too is a mystery. Full of turns and plot twists. There's opening for another book too!

Gripping As well as a gripping story on it's own this is also a great follow up to Stardate., the first of the prequels. A great prelude to the stories to come.
