Cassie, the h, also has a 5 yo daughter from a previous relationship that she lets run wild with no boundaries. When the H did her a favor by watching the h’s daughter to attend a job interview, Alice (daughter) was acting like a terror to which the H put her in a timeout. When the h got home, she freaked out on the H for doing this. Just, no. There was also WAY too much book filler in this book. I’m not a fan of whole chapters being about fantasy sex scenes and there were two of them by chapter seven. There were also scenes of the h’s full experience as a waitress from when she was in college. This also started because she was going to make her friend a cup of coffee. Sorry but who gives a shit. I found myself skipping large parts of this book. As always, I give my honest opinions and this one was mine. Would I recommend it? Unfortunately not.

Although I liked this read I didn’t love it as much as other books I have read by this author. It’s still worth a read but the characters didn’t engage me as much as I would have liked. Devon was a thrill seeker and after his last escapade ended in him losing his memory, with little choice he ends up living with his best friend Charles and his wife Amanda. He knows it will be a slow process but when he spots Cassie things are looking up for him but only if he could understand the animosity she shows him. But he knows that there is something between them that is worth exploring and her little girl Alice steals his heart. Cassie is a single mum struggling to make ends meet, she is on the verge of bankruptcy and keeping everything to herself is becoming more and more of a strain. But she is determined to make her life work and opts for a new start back in her home town and that’s how she finds herself staying with her friend and sharing a house with a guy who ignored her back in high school. Can she let go of her anger from the past and see the guy he is now or will she continue to see him as the teenage selfish guy he was years ago? The characters have chemistry but it can sometimes come off a little flat but still a good little read. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

2.5 stars! Sadly I didn't enjoy this book. I expected it to be better, because of the synopsis and the all amnesia thing. I did like Brad as a character, but I Really Didn't Like Cassie! I never did understand why she hated Brad so much... Even 5-year-old Alice, I didn't like much... Alice was a bit of a brat and a spoiled little girl (I blame Cassie’s lack of rules, education, and defined boundaries for her). But, this is not exactly a Bad book...it's just not exciting or special or heartbreaking or full of feels or a book I'll remember (if I'm being 100% honest). Still, if you want a quick, light read, with plenty of hot scenes and a happy ending, this might be an option. I do hope you enjoy it more than I did.

Honestly this book left me kind of confused. I thought this story was supposed to be about adults yet it just gave off a childish tone, but maybe that was just me. The heroine comes back and freaks out, saying he has no right to discipline her child; but she left her daughter in his care... She doesn't even thank him, she just insults him even after she stayed out longer than she said she would! The transition into them becoming lovers was also very stiff. Throughout the book I was very bored and contemplating putting this in my DNF pile, but I always torture myself to finish books I don't like. Anyways, I always try to refrain from bashing a book but...

DNF... The blurb for this book sounded great and it seemed like it would be a fun quick read. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan. I almost stopped reading by the end of the first chapter, but forced myself to read on, finally giving up at 40%. The characters are flat and conversations are stilted and unnatural with everyone seeming to have the same speach patterns and vocabulary usage. Honestly, I didn't feel anything other than "meh", for any of the characters. This ultimately is what made me stop rea DNF... I shouldn't have. The writing is horrible! When the author can't keep the names of her own characters straight, it's a problem. She calls Alice (Cassie's 5-yr-old daughter) Amanda and Cassie. Then Devin calls Cassie "Celeste". Seriously? Who TF is Celeste?! This, on top of all of the other typos, made this rather painful to read. Then Devin calls Cassie "Celeste". Seriously? Who TF is Celeste?! This, on top of all of the other typos, made this rather painful to read. Is it really that difficult or expensive to find a decent proofreader? Then Cassie is just a bitch. She lies to Amanda and Charles about why she needs to stay with them and for how long, then has the NERVE to tell Amanda that Devon needs to leave. How in the entirety of hell does her broke, basically homeless ass tell someone else who can and cannot stay in their home? Cassie had the gall to tell Amanda "it's either Devon or me." 'Bye, bitch. And take your spoiled, undisciplined child with you! Speaking of Alice and her lack of discipline... Cassie, who at this point still hates Devon (and hates him for the dumbest reason ever), asks Devon to watch her kid for about an hour. This little girl runs down the street and won't stop or come back to Devon when he calls; she plays with a little girl's toys at the park and doesn't want to give them back; Devon tells her that she needs to ask permission before turning on the TV and she throws a tantrum; and Cassie doesn't come back when she says she will. This man didn't owe Cassie a thing, but agreed to help out...and she has the balls to yell at him for trying to discipline her brat. Cassie is completely unlikable. This author seems to have a knack for writing unlikable, unsympathetic "heroines" in these stories. In the two I've read so far, you get some bratty, bitchy, unlikable female who decides she hates a guy who has done nothing to earn her ire. And don't get me started on what is supposed to pass for dirty talk. These women sound so stupid and unbelievable. I'm done with this series. I felt the brain cells dying with each chapter...I can't spare any more.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is an enemy to lovers romance between Devon and Cassie. They grew up together and Devon was a jock and a bit of a jerk. Devon was going to stay with his best friend Charles and his wife Amanda until he could remember more and be alone again. Cassie was best friends with Amanda and a single mother to Alice. Cassie is looking for work and is hiding just how desperate she is after losing her job. Cassie is not happy about Devon staying at the house and is rude to him. When Charles and Devon follow Cassie to learn where she is going everyday, they see her at a park. Devon goes to talk to her and learns the truth about her job struggles. Soon they become friends and Cassie wants more. Devon begins to remember little things and he hopes to eventually remember everything, including Cassie. Devon is attracted to Cassie and wants to be with her. I liked this story but i really didn't like Cassie at first. I thought she was sneaky and rude. Amanda was spoiled and even her husband caved into her demands. I thought there was a lot of tension in the house, but it made for a good read.

This is a slow burn romance. It’s a brilliant plot with really great characters who are doing what they believe is the right thing to do to help their friends and yet they are keeping secrets. Once these secrets are out, life can actually start to move forward for them all. These friends have known each other for years and life conspires to bring them all together in one house, where two of them get a chance at reconnecting and starting over. I loved this story and the authors style.

Horrible Just... no. The premise of this book seemed so interesting, but it was written poorly. The relationship was rushed. Cassie was a terrible character. The dialog was awkward. Also, there were a ton of errors peppered throughout the entire book. I do not recommend this book.

I Hate You, Remember Me The female lead in this book is a selfish witch. I am half way through the book and am ashamed of her attitude. At this point I see no redeeming qualities in her. I don't think I will finish this story. The only redeeming qualities is the editing was very good.
