Seattle meant safety. A new start for me and my little girl. I didn't anticipate falling for a new guy. Especially not my boss. It was the dream job - in a city miles from my jerk of an ex. I just wanted to get on and work, make a fresh start. But Alex is the kind of guy you can feel in a room. Perfect body, dark tousled hair just begging for my fingers to entwine in the curls. When the calls start, and danger stalks me, will his love keep me going?

Not the Best! I can’t say that I was a big fan of this story. I really wasn’t a fan of the writing style to begin with. And I also wasn’t a fan of having unnecessary ow drama, it wasn’t necessary. Alex has a ons after he apparently already met the h. Soledad overhears him talking about it to a friend. He then uses a former hook up to get Soledad a place to live who she has to meet and converse with. I just didn’t feel a connection between the two, I didn’t feel their chemistry. (Review with spoilers) Nice romance. I loved it. I loved Alexander and Soledad. I loved how their relationship grew. Alexander did not believe that he could be attracted to a woman who had a child. But it happened with Soledad. When she talks about her daughter, he likes to see how she gets excited. Sweet, intelligent, strong to survive after what she has suffered. He wants to be her world. He wants them in his life, forever. He would do anything for them. Soledad had to mature quickly. Her ex, who was never good to her, didn't want anything to do with her daughter, and left them alone. That hasn't stopped her from being sweet, adoring her daughter, putting her above everything else. She would do anything for her, to keep her safe, and to make her happy. Alexander does not take advantage of his position. He wants to be with her, but he doesn't pressure her. Soledad decides if they will be together or not. He doesn't want her to feel pressured either. Their relationship is one thing, their work is another. He won't throw her out if she doesn't want to be with him, or if their relationship bdoesn't work. And she knows it. She trusts him, from the first moment. She feels safe with him. I loved Soledad's relationship with Lindsay, and I loved seeing Alexander with her, and seeing their bond grow. She's Soledad's daughter, but she is important to him. I loved Alexander's mother, how she accepts Soledad and her daughter without knowing them. I also loved Soledad's parents. I recommend it.

I had high hopes for this..... It was terrible. Too cheesy. I hate insta love. There's no natural development of feelings. The story was too rushed and boring at times. The plot was kind of all over the place. Too much stuff going on, but nothing really happening at the same time. I find it hard to believe that some billionaire dude who never had the inclination to date a woman with kids or have kids, to be so quick to play daddy. I had high hopes for this..... This is another very enjoyable read by Mia Ford. In this one we have Soledad and Alex. They meet when she comes in to be interviewed for a job. Soledad decides to move away now that she hears her ex was moving back. She wants her and her daughter to have a fresh start. Her and Alex of course fall in love and he is there for her while she deals with all the drama. Like always in Mia's books they get their HEA. This is another very enjoyable read by Mia Ford. If you like instalust/instalove storylines and boss/employee office romance storylines you will likely enjoy this one. Soledad and Alex have some good chemistry, it is well written, with some drama and a stalker ex. Overall, I thought it was a good story and enjoyable. *I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is my honest review.*

Really like Mia Ford books but this didn't do it for me, seemed like it was hurried up and be in relationship, but there was no substance at all with the characters. You really didn't know that Soledad had a past. Meh This story had so much potential but it was just kind of meh to me. The writing felt forced and dragged so much. There were chunks of time missing in certain scenes with very few transitions. Soledad and her young daughter Lindsey are living in a hotel in Seattle after leaving their hometown to get away from Soledads ex. I liked the character of Rosie and her relationship with Sol, Alex and Lindsey, maybe the time scale of their relationship was a bit off at the beginning of the book tho (I wouldn't be that close and leaving my daughter with someone after only 2 weeks of knowing them). Also I felt like a lot more of Soledads past relationship could have been explained in more depth the exact kind of things he did to scare her, her emotions at that time etc rather than her just explaining briefly why she left town and that he scared her. She told different people throughout the book about there relationship but we didn't actually hear it, was more just I explained to Alex all about my past or I told the police all about my past while Brent listened on etc Apart from that I did like all the characters in the book and their relationships with secondary characters Alex and his friend Brent, Soledad and her friend Millie and Alex building a relationship with both Rosie and Lindsey. I received an arc of this book for an honest review

It's a lost cause inbetween the fiery chemistry going on, and Alex`s alpha protective maneuvers they were meant to be a hot couple with this cutest little girl in the middle . The only dangerous obstacle in the road for all of them, is the crazy ex who was very abusive toward Sol....that's who she has been running from the past 3+years, ever since her sweet daughter Lindsay was born. She is running for her life, trying to starting a fresh new life for herself, and her daughter in Seattle. This book Will make you feel all the different emotions that a well writen book, and a great love story is supposed to make you feel. There is a HEA, no cliffhanger....very steamy. Perfect 😉 There is a serious subject that is highlighted in this book. Unfortunately we still have soooo many women/children living under this horrendous act of physical/mental abuse every day. My hope to them is that, they find the strength to fight for their freedom - YOU ALL ARE WORTHY & DESERVING of it🤗💝

This was a great story. As always, I love a good story that involves a kid and this one didn't disappoint. This book focuses on single young mother who is determined to do right and knows when it is time to move on. Soledad ran from her hometown with her daughter of 4 years to Seattle to start a new life. She looked for a new job and within the panel of interviewers, was Alex. He was taken by her beauty and knowledge, and now she was offered the job, she would his new assistant. Mia Ford's latest story surrounds Sol, and her daughter Lindsey, her new boss, Alex, her friend Rosie and the dreaded EX who is Lindsey's father. Now Alex didn't think he'd get seriously involved with a woman who had a child but Sol changes all his previous ideas as he is totally smitten with them both. I enjoyed reading this entertaining book and like the writing style from Mia Ford. The characters are well-developed, and You just love them. It's interesting seeing Sol growing up (and take care of her little daughter) and take place in the new life she found in Seattle after escaping the dominating and abusing father of her little girl. The a..hole father who had no interest in his ex or his daughter decided it would suit him financially to take his daughter & to this end he made several attempts to threaten his ex. Won't spoil the story but will conclude by saying that he got his just deserts. Lovely really great feel good conclusion. I received an ARC & am voluntarily leaving my honest review review.

Soledad had Lindsay all on her own, raising her daughter and protecting her. Her ex who walked out before her daughter was born still causes trouble so they have to move around a lot. When Seattle became their home things changed. Not only was her job great, but Alex her boss helped find her a great place, meeting and having help from Rosie was perfect and then love blossomed between Alex and her. But her ex is back haunting them..... I really liked the first few chapters of this story but then i Soledad had Lindsay all on her own, raising her daughter and protecting her. But her ex is back haunting them..... I really liked the first few chapters of this story but then it sort of drifted off there for me. Way too much filler. I could feel their chemistry I didn't need several pages of it. That took a lot away from the story and slowed it down for me. Otherwise a great story of finding the one even though they're your boss. And finding the right guy who wants to be a dad. Soledad runs away from an abusive relationship and takes her 4 year old daughter Lindsey to Seattle to start over. Soledad has a wonderful opportunity with an ad firm, if she gets the job. She does! As Personal Assistant to the owner Alex, she is closely affected by their mutual attraction. It is off-the-charts hot!! I liked Alex and Soledad's story, but it's an insta-romance story. Just a few weeks into knowing each other, they KNOW that they've found the ONE. But, the twist in this story is Soledad's past that catches up with her and you find out what lengths Alex goes through to protect Soledad. The story line of rich boss and new, damsel in distress hire has been done quite a bit. I think the twist was good, but the writing style was too choppy so it was distracting. The story is told from Alex and Soledad's POV which is nice to see the story from both main characters. Overall, four stars. Good story with some twists.

A very well written romance with nice storyline and plot. A story about Alexander and Soledad and how their love is just getting more intense and real. Likeable characters who are well described and develops well through the story. I would have liked to hear more about Soledads past. It is not that much we get to know. But because it is such a big deal I would liked to know more.
