While the majority of the concepts are super clever, many of the stories fall flat in their overall execution. There was also very little variety in narration styles, and a few plot inconsistencies which irked me a bit, leaving me to feel like I was reading a handful of first drafts. I give it a 2.757999765890 ('The House Spider' was aces, tho) While the majority of the concepts are super clever, many of the stories fall flat in their overall execution. The best thing about this book is the cover art. I really wanted to enjoy this read, but the conclusion of many stories fell flat and the execution needed more work. Some stories ended abruptly, as if the author gave up midway through writing and just published his first draft without editing at all. Actually, this project reads as if it wasn’t edited by professionals of the genre, which is frustrating as a reader. The few stories that I did like were ruined with lackluster endings, as well. I gave up on this book after a handful of stories and skipping around. Will not finish and cannot recommend. There are better horror anthologies out there. [Read via Kindle Unlimited.]

Great Short Horror I love horror stories but I am very A.D.D. So I have to read things that keep my interest and keep me going to the next story. It’s a great coping mechanism to help. This book was exactly as it says and reading “One Bite at a Time” was fun to read, different and creepy. I highly recommend

Great Horror Anthology I love Horror books. So I was excited to find a new author. I've been in a rut with Horror books. There either to short or just plain stupid and gross and over the top to be edgy. This was a real well written book of short stories that I really enjoyed. I look forward to more from this author. Great stories, somewhat unnerving. The character development was very good, especially since the stories are so short. The stories are dark, but compelling, and I was sorry there were not more.

Rosa Hallenbeck –
Fun read Strong writing skills, good character development. However, I think the author is still searching for his voice. I did like this anthology collection.

Good book Not crazy about books of short stories normally but I like a lot of these. I would recommend this book to Faircloth, and short horror story fans.

Enjoyable read. Underlying themes which was really neat.
Demorris Bethea –
Good stories when you have appointments. Good stories to read while waiting to be seen for any appointments that you have scheduled for any days of the week.

I was really plesantly surprised - I absolutely loved this! Never heard of the author before but was reccomended this from a facebook friend. It is a super solid collection of short stories, and none of them felt trite or cliche ridden.
