A master strock, seriously. People bitched about the author nerfing Dave, but everything change in this book! Politics, actions, camaraderie we get all this as usual. And the humor stay the same, the author even diss himself.

Man this book shows what happens when you piss Dave off big time. Threaten his family not only is he going to kill you he is going to utterly destroy you. Kneel! and you have to obey. I feel sorry for the lord of Darkness. He thought he was going to be able to throw his weight around but low and behold he walked straight and kicked a mithril board.. Steel is just too weak.. That board is made out of one hundred percent mithril. And the idiot had to go and tick it off. Poor, poor stupid bastard.. Man this book shows what happens when you piss Dave off big time. All the signs where there but were they paying attention... NO..... They were having too much fun. Then well Dave simply says open Pandora's Box and lets loose with all his nice and fun toys. Want to kill us by wiping us out with our own nanites. Heheh no... Want to blow us up.... Hahaaha... Missiles away... Had to also laugh of all the people who were attacked the ones that the Angels truly stopped screwing with after one shot were the Dwarven mountains. They wiped out all the Angels that came after them. Cant wait to see the next book. Wonder what is going to happen. Is it going to be massive space battles or what?

“Annnd... Action!” The first shots of the War for Freeing Emerilia are finally taken. Battles rage, power is released, and gods are reborn. Yeah, if you’ve been following the series so far this book is what you’ve been waiting for. Recommended.

It's a good continuation of a great series. The Pantheon War happens as forecast by the last couple of novels. The beginning and middle of it is great, and delivered the action/drama that the author is known for. However, the ending falls a bit flat which leaves you in a weird position. The author changes Bob, and puts him near the Lady of Air's residence. Any chance meeting between the two could show the pointlessness of this war and what is about to come. It could show also the strength of Bob's new body. Alas, she is discarded quicker than one of Steve's one-liners. I also wondered, "Deia\Dave, why not ask Bob instead of Fire?". That quest just seemed that it was pulled out of thin air. It's important, but... Last issue: Dave defeats Dark one time. Dave defeats Dark for good by reading a book? (hide spoiler)] It's a good read, but I wish he spent more time concentrating on the Pantheon War, instead of prepping/hurrying to get the next one started. It's good, but the other books were great.

Well what was missing in the others books got recuperated in this one with spades, it regained the energy that was dissipating in the series. Even so the demerit of the others are still as present in this one, what it’s really bothering is that reality for some is still treated as a game even by those who know better (view spoiler)[ for example when they star waking up the players form the earth simulation they star acting like gamers in a new game, even after having the truth revealed to them, Well what was missing in the others books got recuperated in this one with spades, it regained the energy that was dissipating in the series. Considering the whole situation as if it was one big game where they need to do quest to get better characters (hide spoiler)] it creates a dissonance when character should be well aware of how real everything is but the book is still treating things as if it was a game. Even so this book revitalizes the series as a whole for me.

I found myself skipping the fight scenes starting a couple of books back. To me, after the first seven or so books where the fights pretty much develop the same way I lost interest. I still find the advances and planning interesting and I'm absorbed in the underdog empire fight. I'm disappointed the awakened humans can use magic but can't be revived on the altars of rebirth. Wasn't the method of awakening the humans their alternate to the altars? Maybe the ability will be added in the future. Al I found myself skipping the fight scenes starting a couple of books back. Better than the last one Compared to book 9, this one was actually readable. I still like the concept and the characters, but I lost faith in the author after the last book. In fact, I almost stopped reading the series altogether. But this book lacked most of the horrible writing and nonexistent editing of the last book. I'll be reading the next one, and hopefully it won't let me down. Better than the last one Compared to book 9, this one was actually readable. Wow, talk about an amazing book With the prior book loading up the final fight for Emerilia, this book takes that progress, pairs it with a well thought out storyline, amazing characters, and feeling, and moves us with some enthusiasm into the last book of this awesome series. This will be one of those ultra rare series where we are so happy to devour the story, and so sad that it has to come to an end...

One of the best so far Great progression of the story in this book. Possibly becomes a bit OTT switching between the different story threads at times. As usual the main characters are given lots of extra powers at every turn, but it kind of works as the enemies are so extreme. Loving this series and can't wait for the next instalment. A whole lot of planning comes to a head in this installment, and while it wasn't always consistent, it sure was fun. Typos were at acceptable levels in this one, although still more numerous than I would expect from a professionally edited story. Not a bad story though, so if you like these kinds of stories, you will likely enjoy this one. Finally, back to how books 1-5 were. Much better pacing and not so much useless bits that I had to skip through like in the other books (5 -9). Especially with that battles and random jumps in story. Would love to see stats about the other characters though like there was early on with the series. Wonder how spacefaring will affect stats and powers in the sequels.

Seriously good story I've been an avid reader this series and it just keeps getting better and better! I would say that Emerilia is one of the best grand fiction works around if all time. Glorious The author has spent quite some time building up to this moment and its exactly aseptic as we've been promised. The stakes stayed as high as they've ever been as the characters achieved as much as they ever have...it's a great addition to the series. I can hardly wait for Book 11! Exciting and highly entertaining Science Fiction wrapped around a Fantasy game story. All 10 have been good, fun reads. Readers should know there is some strong language. Good character development, and they change in reaction to events.

Excellent This author is fantastic. Picked this series up a couple weeks ago after having read another arc from this author that only has a few books in it (so far?). That series (The Two week curse) is simply outstanding, and so I tried this. Now to next book...

Good with silly mistakes. There story is good, the characters are funny, and the editors overlooked all of the random stat and level decreases Dave seems to get from one page to the next.

One of the better books in the series. It is more focused with less perspective jumping around. The best part is that a ton of stuff happens. We get some major plot movement! There is only really one big plot point left to wrap up in the last book.
