This book is Grace and Reed's love story and the path that leads to their future together. Filled with drama and life-altering revelations this book is sure to keep you on your toes.  One of the most important themes in this novel is the notion that just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should and just because you've accomplished what you originally set out to achieve doesn't mean that still has to be want you want now. People are allowed to change and grow in life and it's okay to recognize that they have new dreams. Bigger isn't always better and there's nothing more important than family and love. Another major theme of the novel is the importance of having open communication and allowing people to tell their side of the story because things aren't always how they seem. Life is short and unpredictable and we shouldn't waste our time wallowing in past mistakes because it's never too late to make things right. Love isn't always easy but it does grow stronger over time and it gives us the courage to move past what can't be changed to give our hearts a chance to heal. I truly loved this story and was sorry to see it end. I'm hoping that this is the first in another series because I fell in love with all of the Montgomery crew and would love to see where life takes them next.

Even though they both learned their lessons through out life, falling back into the normal, isn't as easy as it seems. When Grace moves back as a successful play writer and producer to teach three-week writing class, running into the man she loved, was hard and easy at the same time. So much time has passed but again, their connection is very strong. Reed sold his business in Michigan after finding out that his business partner was a little too close for comfort. After learning that his uncle had a heart attack he moves back to his hometown. When he see's Grace again, yes his heart pumps faster BUT he is still reserved form being burned. This time Grace knows the deal and is playing by HER RULES. Too bad rules are meant to be broken & never go the way you expect it to go! For my first time reading Addison Cole books, this is the sweetest story & I loved every page. FIVE PLUS STAR rating & highly recommended! 🅗 🅐 🅟 🅟 🅨 ✿ 🅡 🅔 🅐 🅓 🅘 🅝 🅖

A chance to start over...and a second shot at love. Grace is starting over in her hometown - which means she's back in her sisters' loving arms, and front and center in their lives. Reed has returned home in the wake of a cheating girlfriend and family emergency. There's a second chance at love dancing just in front of them, if only they would reach out. I have been reading Addison Cole's Sweet with Heat books since her first novel. I absolutely love that I can read them and recommend them to church friends who may think other books are too much. Grace Montgomery has always been in the background of other books I've read. I have never really found out much about her until this book. Suddenly she is back to being the small town girl she tried to outrun. Then, there is Reed. He left town when he had told Gracie, when they were in high school, that he would never leave. Her heading to college left him with nothing but memories of her everywhere. Grace was hurt by his leaving town even though she had left town herself. He moved on somewhat. He now has a broken engagement and a cheating business partner behind him. How the two of them come together as friends is pure poetry. What happens after that is what makes picking up The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever so worth it. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

What a great love story! Loved following the lives of Grace and Reed! The characters in this story were very real to me. I could just picture me being right there with them. They were so fun! How many of us know about high school rivalry? It’s still alive and well to some extent in my neck of the woods. Course that makes for some great fun at times. I don’t know that it went as far as it might have in this story back in the day. I hope you’ll check out the great folks of Oaks Falls. You may just What a great love story! Grace and Reed's second chance love story is full of family and emotion. Grace comes home to decompress and reconnects with herself after living several years in NYC and working in the theater business. The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever is a nice read for the Montgomery sisters. The connection between the main characters is very strong and noticeable. This DNF is totally on me and my lack of author investigation. I was not aware - until right before starting The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever - that Addison Cole is the “sweet with heat” alter-ego of “steamy” author Melissa Foster. Who has the distinction of being the first author on my “I’m done with this author” list. But I decided to give the book a go anyway. I tried really hard to go in with an open mind. The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever is a sweet, second chance romance filled with captivating characters set in a small town in Virginia. Addison Cole superbly blends the love of family, career pressures and new beginnings in this novel. A successful playwright and producer, Grace has returned home to teach a three-week playwriting course at her sister’s bookstore. This working vacation provides workaholic Grace with a much needed break from her stressful job and a chance to spend time with her parents and sisters. She never expected to find her high school boyfriend Reed repairing her parent’s front porch much less feel the same physical attraction towards him! Reed sold his business in Michigan after being burned by his business partner and girlfriend. He decides to return to Virginia when he learns that his uncle has had a heart attack. Reed is looking forward to working with his uncle and to resume his career, renovating historical buildings in Oak Falls. Grace and Reed are provided a second chance to explore their relationship in the novel. As Grace spends time with Reed, her family and with her writing group, she realizes that by focusing on her career she has missed out on a lot of life’s every day pleasures. She looks at her small town with a new appreciation. Reed decides to win Grace’s heart by romancing her. Loved the chapter where he packs a picnic dinner and the couple watch a movie outside the Majestic Theater. Grace is overwhelmed by his gesture because he remembered how special this spot was to them. The secondary characters add so much color and life to this novel! Each character was well developed and added to the storyline. Loved Grace’s parents, Reed’s aunt and uncle and my favorite Sophie’s grandmother, Nana. There is angst and conflict in the novel but, the author chooses to focus is on the enduring love and passion between Grace and Reed. This choice drew me into the story immediately and I read the book in one sitting. The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever is a warm, feel good love story and holds a special place on my keeper shelf!

'Embracing Her Heart' is another Sweet treat by Addison Cole. It was very much worth the wait and I loved learning all about the Montgomery’s. The story begins when Grace Montgomery returns to her small hometown of Oak Falls to help her sister host a playwriting class. What she doesn't anticipate her return being, is a trip down memory lane, a place where she is constantly reminded of the life which she left in order to pursue her dreams. Grace has been unable to settle fully into her life in The Big Apple, and she is unable to find a man who can fill the boots of her teenage love Reed Cross. So when she spots Reed Cross riding a horse, she is unable to control the feelings he stirs within her. She has one question that she is dying to know the answer to...’why did he leave after saying he'd never wanted to?’ Reed Cross has returned home to start anew, after a failed relationship and the sale of his business, he is ready to focus on new projects in the hope of settling down. Once back on his home soil, he is unable to shake the images and memories of one girl he was never fully able to get over...Grace Montgomery. Reed battles with the pain of his past, determined to get everything out in the open and to rekindle some of the friendship and love he once had with Grace. Despite her hesitancy, he convinces her that what they'd once had, has never really left. With busy work schedules and a time limit on her visit, Grace is pushed to the max, toying with the idea of whether to stay or go. I loved the introduction to many new characters in this book and I am excited to learn the other stories of quite a few of the Oak Fall residents. Nana is by far my favourite and i enjoy every moment she is in the books. I would recommend to all romance lovers and someone who is wanting to get stuck into a well written series.

Family. The longer she stays the deeper she falls in love with the small town home life, and finds herself facing her first love face to face.  Reed Cross had everything he needed in his life, that was until things started to fall down around him. Scorned by a business partner and his girlfriend, Reed hits the road back to his home town ready for a new change. He just wasn't ready for the change to be seeing his first love right before him while his heart was still mending. He had let her go once and regretted it, and while they both have wounds to heal and a past to overcome, Reed made up his mind and his heart not to let her go for a second time. There was just one problem, he had to convince Grace they were meant to be before she left back for the city.  Reed is definitely up for the challenge as he knows in his heart that not only are he and Grace meant to be together, but that their hometown is where Grace needs to be with or without him. He just hopes with all his heart she stays with him. While their passion has never died out, can both Grace and Reed overcome their old wounds and heal? Or will they end up going separate ways once again, but for good this time? You'll have to read The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever to find out!  This is a great read, really shows how true love never dies even with time and distance. Very enjoyable, and perfect for a rainy day when you need a good heartwarming story to cozy up with!

Gracie Montgomery has left her small town, big family and childhood sweetheart Reed to pursue her dreams of becoming a famous playwright. She has earned the reputation but over the years she got distanced from her sisters and family due to work pressure. She came back to her home for a break and meets Reed. Reed left town too but he is back to take care of his uncle's family business. They have unfinished business as Grace wouldn't have left without Reed if Reed didn't tell her that he won't leave this small town ever. But they have history and so much love inside. Gracie realises how much she miss this crazy family and always supportive town people. Reed and Gracie give love a second chance. This story talks about the true power of family and friendship. I have read the Montgomerys before and I was so excited reading about all the sisters. This small town with its odds and quirks has become like my own. The author writes so earnestly and vividly that I feel like I know this place for real. This sense of familiarity and closeness is the strong point of this story. I love Reed and Grace's character so much! The story is funny, emotional and so good. There are some ups and downs but nothing too gloomy. I enjoyed reading about the swoony and heartwarming times this couple had. If I have to describe The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever in one word it will be blissful. It feels my heart with calm and contentment. It makes me giddy with happiness. And that is what a perfect romance story is meant to do!

The cover of this book really grabbed my eye. This is probably the prettiest of all of Addison's covers and her books have some of the best covers I've seen. This is a love story of second chances. I have to admit, it took me awhile to warm up to Grace. She wasn't my favorite heroine. She was a little bit too snotty for me at first, but she grew on me. These are two people that have a shared secret past but both still long for each other, even though their lives have gone on in very different directions. They both still have feelings for each other and they decide to go with the flow for the few weeks that they will be together to see what happens. One of my favorite lines from the book comes from Grace's friend Amber said "I want that!" "I want fireworks. Just once in my life I want a kiss that makes me see stars." I think most women of a romantic vein are looking for that in their lives. I know I am. That has to be the spot on most accurate statement in any romance novel. This book was so sweet that it could easily be adapted for a Hallmark Channel movie. That's a good and a bad thing. Good, in that the characters are so perfect that they fit what you'd expect to find in those movies, and bad because this book is so sweet that it very well may leave you needing a trip to the dentist. It was probably the only book of Addison's that didn't have even a little bit of conflict. Everything came too easily for Grace and Reed. The best and most heart wrenching...and Halmarky part of the book happened at the end and involved Reed's family. I don't want to spoil anything but you might want some kleenex handy when Frank comes back into his life. This was a wonderful novel. I can't wait to meet more of the Montgomery family.

Her only form of rebellion was secretly dating the quarterback of their rival high school. Back then, any one who dated or associated with someone from Meadowdale was chastised and bullied. Neither Grace nor Reed wanted that to happen. They dated all of Senior year in secret. Grace went to college.  Grace never forgot about Reed--compared every guy to him. No one compared. It never occurred to Grace that she would run into her ex during her three week stay to teach a screenwriting class at her sister, Amber's bookstore.  Ten year later, Reed returns to his hometown to help his uncle Roy after his heart attack. Roy and his wife raised Reed. Of course, he would return to help the man with his construction company. Roy taught him everything about restoration and construction. What Reed didn't know is the last construction job before his uncle returns to work is the Montgomery place. He also didn't know that Grace was coming home for a visit.  Reed let her go once. He decided he wasn't doing that again.  Everything about this book is small town living from how everyone is in everyone else's business to how they help each other out. Grace thought she was running away from the small town living when in reality she was reminded how much she loves it and her family. A very endearing, sweet romance.

I was so excited to read this book and was not disappointed!!! When Grace returns home to Oak Falls the last person she expects to run into is her ex and first love Reed Cross. Grace never got over Reed and seeing him again brings all those old feelings back to the surface. As much as she wants to protect her heart she also cannot deny what her heart wants, no matter how hard she tries. Reed has been betrayed by two people he should have been able to trust but seeing Grace again makes him forget and realise that the one that got away is the one he wants. He will do anything to win her back and I loved reading the lengths he went to to do just that. Grace may want to go back to her life in New York but she soon starts to realise what her head and heart want are two different things and to be truly happy in life you have to take the risk. An amazing start to a new mini series which has left me eagerly waiting for more. One of the main reasons I love Addison's books? As soon as I turn the last page I am always left wanting more and guess what you always get just that. Another amazing book by my favourite author and highly recommended!!!!

    * I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own * This is the story of Grace Montgomery and Reed Cross, who were secret high school sweethearts due to rivalries between their schools. But when Grace leaves for college and her dream in New York of becoming a Playwright and producer she wants Reed to go with her but he decides to stay. Grace had later discovered that Reed had left for Michigan soon after she had left and she could never forgive him for this. Years later Grace returns to her hometown to visit her family for the next three weeks and discovers that Reed had moved back and that he was the contractor replacing her parent’s porch. The attraction is still there between them and they decide that they want to be together and let everyone know, even about their secret relationship. Can the long distant relationship work as Grace wants to keep her life in New York, or will the decision be made to stay in Oak Falls. This was a great story by Addison Cole, and can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series.

Second chance romances are my favorites! This is the second chance for Reed and Gracie. Ok, she goes by Grace now but she is truly a Gracie. As a lot of high schoolers think, she wanted to graduate and follow her dreams. By following those dreams she leaves Reed, the love of her life behind. Reed then leaves town, after swearing he never wants to leave. Fast forward a few years and both Reed and Gracie are back in town, as the same time, and of course, can’t help but feel that attraction and lov Second chance romances are my favorites! Their secret high school romance, their living their dreams, and their coming back together. There is no circling each other, no secret rendezvous’ it is just straight out lust, love, and heat between these two. They love each other and they aren’t afraid to show it. Reed tells Gracie to just go with it while showing her that they are meant to be and Gracie is open to going with all that Reed has to offer her. Pick up The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever, it is sweet, it has heat, and it is amazing!

Some people have to go out into the world to discover that they had the entire world right in their hands. That would be Grace and Reed! I feel like Oak Falls is a safe haven for both of them to be who they really are. Coming from a small town, I understand the need to get as far away from the small-minded, constriction of "rival" communities; but there is something about being back that brings out a true side to both Grace and Reed. The pair once had to keep their relationship secret (which I think added to the sweet heat!) but now, they are facing the choice to love out in the open. ``Love is supposed to grow stronger, not get easier``. At first I didn't think this story would be that emotional but I should have known; Addison Cole never misses a beat! Young love that was never forgotten. A love story about how much two people can love each other so much that life and years cannot erase how they feel. A powerful story of how a heart can remember the soul that touched it once; how a person can own a piece of another`s heart forever. The reality and the tangibility of every single emotions are so well written that I can drown myself in every book that author wrote and relate a little bit to each of her characters. Reed`s story is simply amazing and his love for Grace is so huge it swallows her whole.

I found something different with Grace and Reed. I found a second chance with them also. I found them to be more than just another couple that had a past and were now present with the present and possible future. I was able to fall in love with their story, their journey back in to each others lives. All this with family, friends, small town, and no explicit sexuality or language. The Corner of Heartbreak and Forever is a sweet warm, feel good love story of second chances between two people who shouldn't have parted ways all those year ago but find their forever with each other eventually. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and Grace and Reed's story cements that for me - what's for you wont go past you (even if takes a while to figure that out!)

Ms. Cole has done it again. I love second chance romance but lately they have all seemed too alike. Ms. Cole has reminded me once again why I love a great second chance romance and why hers are the best. I couldn't help but root for Grace and Reed from the very start. Reed is the perfect book boyfriend we all want and so does Grace, even if she doesn't want to admit it. Grace needs a nudge to allow herself to give in to her heart but once she does she doesn't look back. The world building in Ms. Ms. Cole has done it again. I absolutely loved this second chance romance. This author always creates storylines and characters I fall in love. Reed & Grace were no different. Grace was a strong, independent heroine. And, Reed! Gosh, Reed was swoon worthyyy. I seriously died for him. Grace and Reed return to their small town and all the feelings they tried to ignore, resurface. The angst between the two was perfect. I read their love story in one sitting. I highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic sweet without heat novel that is well written and a joy to read! I was totally emersed in Grace’s and Reed’s story and the fun that the Montgomery sisters have! This lovely second chance story is addictive and I loved every second of it!

This second chance romance is both sexy and romantic. With an enduring love story as well as a deeper tale of starting over or discovering what was left behind. Emotions that can not be ignored. Clean yet hot. A great new community of characters to fall in love with. Grace has a supportive family but they tease and torment each other like real people and caring families do.
