A chapter into The Fire Witch and I remembered how much I love the writing in this series. Chandelle LaVaun's Coven world is so fascinating. It's creative and full of possibilities. The characters are wonderful and the friendships between them are strong. Those are just some of the reasons this has become one of my favorite series. After the events of the last book, this one slows the pace down a bit. This companion novel follows Emersyn and Deacon to New York. The two soulmates are slowly building their relationship now that Emersyn is ready to take a chance with him. However, his uppity family and scheming friends might drive a new wedge between them. I was annoyed with the petty and unkind behavior of Deacon's family and 'friends'- and moreover, I was disappointed that Deacon didn't step up for Emersyn sooner. But when he did, I couldn't help but forgive him. Deacon and Emersyn's love is much different than Tegan and Tennessee's. It's not as natural or instantaneous. D and Em have a lot of differences and a lot to learn about each other. But the way things are going, these two show a lot of promise and the love is definitely there. I loved the confidence Emersyn developed in this story, and I can't wait to continue reading in this world.

With great power comes great responsibility FYI - I try not give spoilers in my reviews. This is just my overall take. This was Emersyn's book to shine and she lit it up like a blazing inferno in true Emersyn style. This story nicely links this series to the coming ones, and it also previews to fallout of what went down on Samhain. You can't help but love Emersyn. She isn't as in your face as her twin Tegan, but she is no less badass. You get to see just how beautifully she's adapting to her role With great power comes great responsibility FYI - I try not give spoilers in my reviews. This is just my overall take. This story is also one of growth for Deacon; becoming the Devil, as well as finding his soulmate, is bringing out the best in him. The ending opens up so many exciting story possibilities so why stop reading now?

5 stars for The Fire Witch by Chandelle LaVaun. This is book seven in The Coven: Elemental Magic Series. This book focuses on Emersyn and Deacon. Their relationship has been off to a rocky start , but now they are on their way to New York to meet Deacon’s parents. To say this does not start off great would be an understatement. I wanted to smack Deacon upside his head and then throat punch his momma. However, Emersyn holds her own. I loved getting to see her character come into herself and have 5 stars for The Fire Witch by Chandelle LaVaun. This is book seven in The Coven: Elemental Magic Series. I was hoping to learn more about Tennessee but that did not happen. The demons let lose from the Gap being opened are recking havoc on the world , so I think the next books will be extremely interesting to see what happens.

Loved it !! It was great to see glimpses of the old gang from “The Coven Elemental Magic Series”. It carried on seamlessly from the big finale of closing the gap. Book.7. Gives us a chance to spend some time with Emersyn & Deacon and hopefully see if a love can develop or will Deaon’s parents and his old friends be the end of Emeryson ever wanting to be near him again. They are soulmates, she is destined to love him, but that doesn’t mean she can’t reject him first. Deacon takes Em home to meet his parents and introduce her to the people and world he grew up in New York. All he wants is for them all to love her as much as he does, unfortunately everything in life is never that easy. Em is new to this world and the world of magic. Emersyn May be the Empress but she grew up human, she knows nothing of the magical structure of Majors, Minors, Knights, Ace’s & wand’s, that are supposed to be the supporting act, to help the Coven. She fights Demons without a second thought, but this situation is scarier. Will she fail or prove who and what she is with her head held high. Chandelle LaVaun will always transport you to another time and place where there are Demons, Supernaturals, Mystery, Toe Curdling Suspense and much much more. She will manipulate your feelings, making you feel every single bit of emotion emitted from her characters, as if they are your own. She will give you sleepless nights as you desperately try and read her books in one go, as you don’t want to be torn away from her worlds. She deserves every one of these 5 stars, she has an incredible ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules & relationships. She is full of originality & vision. I never like leaving spoilers, as you should enjoy the experience yourself. So I hope this is enough to encourage you to dive into the world of Magic, Mystery, Quests, Demons, fantastic characters with a brilliant storyline.... I will certainly be waiting in anticipation for book.8.

The seventh book in the Coven Series is as good as the previous six and in some spots it is even better. The homecoming of Deacon and his soulmate Emm. is one that won't soon be forgotten. This series has everything, Forbidden love, lies with good intentions and many, many heroic actions. The writing is exceptional and the world building is the same.

Em finally gets her chance to shine! I am so very happy with this book. Emerson has always been in the series, but not front and center like she is here. She always seemed so unsure, especially in her twin sister's shadow. We really get to see her grow into her power both personally and as a Card. Em gains a lot of confidence, and I love seeing the powerful witch she is, coming out as she kicks some serious Demon backside and takes on Deacon's family and friends. This entire series has been absolutely beyond incredible!

This book started out really tame and I was thinking this is the tamest book Ms. Chandelle has written thus far. To my delight towards the end of the book, the action began. It does make sense to give Emerysn and Deacon need to have their love story told as it unfolds. I did not like Deacon's friends. I thought they were rich bullies that belittle anyone that does not come from money. While the fate of a couple of them was sad, I was not sorry. Five stars of magic goodness I received an arc and I have to say this continuation of the series doesn't disappoint. I've always loved em and deacon and this book is all about them 😊 From the start you get tied up in the story and watch as their relationship goes from strength to strength. The character growths were fantastic and I couldn't put this book down. Em is such a badass and I love her more. Deacon and em forever! And the finale of the big battle scene...holy wow! Epic. The other twin I gotta be honest all through this season I haven’t really liked Emersyn she’s always felt like the other twin the one not as important and not as interesting this book changed that and I have really enjoyed getting to know her and seeing her grow as a person. Read The Series, You Won't Regret It! I am always looking for new books to read and decided on this series. I can't say enough good things about this series and would recommend it 100% to anyone who enjoys this genre, no matter what age you are. But why did it seem so short?? I liked this book, but I feel like it was so short. I waited months for the next one to come out and it only took like an hour to read. Maybe I’m a fast reader... Regardless, this was a great addition to the series and I hope to be able to read the next one soon. Hopefully, a longer next one. It’s so difficult finding good books to read that don’t cost an arm and a leg when you have read as much as I do.

The story starts slowly as Emersyn and Deacon try to navigate a rocky path on their new Soul Mate relationship, but the action and excitement ramps up at the end in another heart-stopping magical battle. You can't put down the book for the last couple of chapters, and then suddenly it is over and it leaves you craving the next book in the series, soooon please! Nice Another great read to the series. These books leave it open for more possible stories to tell. This book was about Emersyn going to New York to meet Deacons parents and how she handles his world. Points of view switch between Emersyn and Deacon. It was definitely satisfying to see her step up and show off her bad self. I love the bond between her and the coven and their conversations are hilarious! It’s not constant. One or two here and there.

I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. Like I am sure the author of this series doesn’t think she is racist, but she decided that the genocide of an indigenous tribe was okay to include in her plot. These witches slaughtered a whole ass tribe! With all the magic, there was no other way? So, now I’m going to change all my ratings on her books. I mean I’m used to BIPOC erasure in white fiction, so it doesn’t make me angry there’s only one Puerto Rican character I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. I needed this I started Saffie's book but felt like I'd missed too much with the novellas so I turned around and read this one. I really like Emersyn and Deacon, and though Tennegan will be my favorite couple, I can appreciate the troubles Em went through to be okay with opening up. This is a fun trope and I'm glad we got to see what happened right after the Gap and just before Bettina's story. I'm totally gonna have to go look at the rest of Em's stories. These books are witty and imaginative with sassy female heroines, and badass take no nonsense male backup. Wonderful, amazing, magical!!! This novella about Emersyn and Deacon is amazing! I would love to see another book or two about them. The only problem with this book is the deplorable editing. Please, get a better editor, and keep writing these books!! You know I love a book when I give five stars but hate the editing.
