All you had to say was “witch sorority,” and of course I’d be hooked! My favorite thing about this author’s writing is her characters. They always have such compelling backgrounds, personalities, and motivations. Olivie is especially great at representing women and the complexities of their relationships with each other. My only wish is that it was longer! I would have loved to get to know these characters even more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes compelling women characters, m All you had to say was “witch sorority,” and of course I’d be hooked! When you’re finished, read Masters of Death.

4.5 stars...a little witchcraft in itself. Twin sisters, a Duke, a sorority, a reluctant witchhunter and a whole host of interesting characters fill the pages of this reflection on sisterhood and power. What a fun, engaging read.

Another excellent story by Olivie Blake! I loved it! If you're looking for a story with good writing, dialogues that make you chuckle (even while the plot gives you heart palpitations), and excellent female representation then definitely give this a go. I thought I knew how this would end, and I definitely didn't get it right. Fell in love with each character. Just lovely. I thought I knew how this would end, and I definitely didn't get it right. Fell in love with each character. Just lovely.

I love this book so much I don’t think it’s possible for me to ever run out of good things to say about it. Aurora and Ariadne’s relationship had me hooked from the very beginning, and then Prospero, Duke of Swindlery, turned up and stole my heart forever. He is quite possibly my favorite of Olivie’s male characters, which is a thing that I hate to say because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings (looking at you Thomas Edward Parker IV). And then on top of all this you have Celeste, an OBJECTIVELY amazing villain who will fill you with rage so effectively you’ll be obsessing over her for days. NOT TO MENTION reluctant and incapable witch hunters, vengeful spirits, and sassy coven council members (just putting it here for the record that I would die for a book about Maude Sparling). But (and it’s taken me so long to get to my point, but here we are) the most important part about this book is its portrayal of relationships between women. At a time when women are afraid to come forward and tell their stories, when women’s rights are up for grabs, this book is a reminder to support each other, to BELIEVE each other, and to keep fighting.
