The stuck paw in the stone crevice was a fun play on the fairytale. The kidnapped victim was dealt with rather haphazardly. She just goes to lunch with the crew that rescues her. Just another day apparently. Very little beyond the Falls and a couple of dining spots are part of this story. Alice plays a part in the magic.

Hmm… It’s actually had very loose connection to Nocturne Falls. The story itself was OK, it’s good. It’s just that I expected a more close and tight connection to NF that it made me disappointed somehow. The end part of the book was also felt rushed, like the author suddenly realised the limit was near. Not my favourite. I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! I loved the book! Zoe and Ryan were after the same thing. They decided to team up They just didn't count on falling in love with each other. I loved the storytelling + the characters. It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book! As with the previous stories, the reading order is not of essence because these are mostly standalone stories and do not follow the same characters. This story mentions Terror, Minnesota and previous characters quite a lot, and the author made a great use of the original Nocturne Falls characters and locations, as well as her own. The story revolves around Rylan, a lion shifter from Terror, who comes to Nocturne Falls in search of a magical object, and Zoe, a witch visiting her friend in Nocturne Falls. And two of them accidentally meet. The story was quite cute and the characters are quite lovable. There are some villains who were done to perfection. I was just completely convinced about the romance. It was good but not great. However, the overall idea and the plot were great, so I enjoyed the story. The Nocturne Falls is a great series and the reading order is: The Vampire's Mail Order Bride (Nocturne Falls #1), The Werewolf Meets His Match (Nocturne Falls #2), The Gargoyle Gets His Girl (Nocturne Falls, #3), The Professor Woos The Witch (Nocturne Falls, #4), and The Witch’s Halloween Hero (Nocturne Falls #4.5) in Spell of the Ball Anthology, The Werewolf's Christmas Wish (Nocturne Falls #4.6) in Hex the Halls Anthology, The Vampire’s Fake Fiancée (Nocturne Falls #5), A Vampire's Valentine Surprise (Nocturne Falls #5.5), Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #1), The Shifter Romances The Writer (Nocturne Falls #6), Miss Frost Ices The Imp: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #2), The Vampire’s True Love Trials (Nocturne Falls #6.5) in Taming the Vampire collection, Miss Frost Saves The Sandman: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #3), The Dragon Finds Forever (Nocturne Falls #7), The Vampire's Accidental Wife (Nocturne Falls #8), Miss Frost Cracks A Caper: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #4), Miss Frost Braves The Blizzard: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #5), The Reaper Rescues The Genie (Nocturne Falls #9), The Detective Wins The Witch (Nocturne Falls Book 10), Miss Frost Chills The Cheater: A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost Book 6), and ever growing series of Nocturne Universe Novels, which surpassed 40 by now. Great world to get yourself immersed in.

Little do they know the stone is what provides Nocturne Falls with its magical powers so when the stone is found Alice, the witch who helped create the magic for Nocturne Falls steps in and prevents anyone from removing it. Luckily when the demon touches the stone he loses his powers as does the evil warlock because the stone works against evil. All works out well for the Lion and his sister and the witch and the Lion find love in each other. Obviously there is more to this story than my brief synopsis so you need to read to find out some of the missing pieces. You will not be disappointed in reading this book. I know I have become a fan of Larissas as this book and many of her other books have all been great reads.

This is a great book; this book is part of the Nocturne Falls Universe and is written by Larissa Emerald. Giving 4.5 stars. Rylan, a lion shifter, finds himself intrigued by a witch (Nora) while searching for an artifact that is being demanded as ransom payment for his sister. Can they save Rylan’s sister and still prevent Roar (evil warlock) from also getting the artifact? I thought the author did a great job of portraying the lion’s characteristics in Rylan when he was in human form. There were a couple of teasers that the author had in the story that didn’t exactly wrap up which made me wonder .... Giving 4.5 stars. An entertaining read with interesting characters and a plot involving kidnapping, blackmail and the search for a hidden magical mirror stone hidden in Nocturne Falls. My only gripe is that after several chapters of build up and development everything is resolved too quickly and easily for me and therefore it all seemed a bit anticlimactic....still worth 4 stars though.

I really enjoyed this. I liked the characters and the story fit well into the Nocturne Falls Universe. It’s also one of the few stories I’ve ever read that features a lion shifter. Hopefully they’ll be back in a future story.

Fun story. Loved the idea of a lion shifter and his personality was perfect. I also enjoyed how the fact that their romance moved quickly was explained. I really hated the bad guy and it was fun to learn a bit more about the history of the town. Great book.
