This was hard to rate. First of all, if you're not in the mood for erotica, you don't want to read this. There is a LOT of sex and it's blatantly descriptive! I was uncomfortable reading it from her view point. You're reading this from a first person pov, and she's describing the things that were being done, she is describing them with raw, vulger language, and she's telling you she liked it. It sounds so unreal. If you didn't already hear the stories of the other girls R. Kelly has kept you wouldn't affiliate this story with him, even knowing he's a freak. She described her feelings while she was having these experiences and her feelings for him so well you could almost feel what she was feeling, like you were in her head. It reminded me of when I read Dopefiend by Donald Goines. He was so good at describing a heroin high and the craving for it from the perspective of an addict you almost wanted to try it so you could feel it. Not that you would, obviously, you just get a first person perspective that you won't have otherwise. It was kind of the same with this. If this is true I understand how he's able to get these girls. He's on some pimp shit forreal! He's versed in mental manipulation and understands how to control a woman who's vulnerable to it with sex. I almost don't believe this shit. She's either telling the truth, because a lot of what other women said he did to them this author said was done to her. OR she did her fucking research, and did a damn good job! There wasn't much new revelation or confirmation, except the alleged gang affiliation and sex trafficking, which is a fucking big deal. But she mostly glazed over her sexual experiences with him over the 5 years she was there and the things that lead her to her decision to leave. She drew me in. It was a good quick INTENSE read.

If this is a work of fiction, someone has a creative mind. If this is actually real.......PEOPLE NEED TO BE ARRESTED!

This book shows this man is a sick individual. I don't understand why she went back to him after all he put her through. Glad she survived because some women in abusive relationship don't make it out love her courage. This book shows this man is a sick individual. I actually did not read this book myself and didn't plan on ever reading it lol. I watched Khia do a storytime video on YouTube reading the book to her fans. Idk if this real or not due to some of the things that happened but it was CRAZY!. The story was very detailed and uncut. If you can handle explicit language and graphic scenes, you should read it. After reading this book, I view R. Kelly different if this is a true story. I personally think something happened to him as a child and these behaviors are how he deals. This isn't me saying the things he does or is doing is right, it's me saying he needs some serious help. She, too, needs to receive counseling so that she can continue to heal. This book will turn you on and off throughout! After reading this book, I view R. Kelly different if this is a true story. Don’t judge me for reading this! 🙈 I found it because of ‘Surviving R Kelly’. Without any context, this is a graphic novel detailing an extremely abusive, controlling relationship. It is a sexually explicit, simply written narrative that the author makes no apologies for but it is quite a compelling read.

Hmmm. The person who wrote it is clearly still in awe of him but not. I see people saying why are people acting like they only learnt about R Kelly on the first weekend of 2019, but I think the impact of this was the constant barrage of story after story from their mouths. Words on a page or screen don't necessarily convey the same emotion. I continue to be disturbed by all the revelations. I will say though that his enablers should also be incarcerated. Hmmm. Here's the thing; assuming this is a factual account of life with "Robert", then it underlines the notion that the most talented people in the world are often the most troubled. There was a real effort by the author/s to provide graphic descriptions of the sexual encounters, abuse and drug use. That said, I was mostly horrified by the events detailed here and I tend to hope it isn't true - mostly from the standpoint of one who has been a fan of the alleged perpetrator for many years. The confession doesn't read particularly well in terms of continuity; but taking it at face value, the subject matter kept my attention enough to read to the end.

This was an incredibly hard book to get through. The content didn't bother me- I can deal with graphic details, but the way it was worded was really off-putting. There's no real "nice" way to write the content down, but the things in this book are disturbing, yet described as if you're reading an erotic novel. I had to force myself to finish, seeing that I wanted to see what the fuss was all about and it's a very short read. I literally just read this, it took about an hour. It was a good way of humanising some of the deplorable things R Kelly has done. This is just one girl. I’m not sure if it’s true or if it’s a fictitious account but either way I remember the news articles and the Surviving R Kelly series and I am inclined to think there is more than a grain of truth in this. What I found really sad was the self-blame and having to live with the choices you made part of the story. When you’re sixteen you don’t know any better, you didn’t CHOOSE to be abused. No one at any age chooses abuse, that’s not how abuse works. There’s a big difference between love and control. Love and conditioning and love and death. We can choose to believe or even accept that we love the person that is hurting us because that is easier to live with than the reality that we’re scared of leaving or are afraid of the unknown. There’s also an element of pride I think, not wanting others to know where you’re at, the abuser literally breaks you down like an interrogator keeps you weak and physically exhausted, utterly dependent on them and isolated, rewards you and conditions you to associate them with pleasure and safety in some aspects at least. You’re in a position where you have no choice but to accept how things are without all of your strength and brain faculties. When you are feeling better there’s shame, shame is an awful awful thing. It can make us feel we deserve it. I’m just rambling now but essentially: Better the devil you know and all that. I’m just so glad he’s behind bars I hope he rots there and doesn’t get any human contact for the rest of his life. A part of me does see that abusers are often abused and I am sure he had a horrible awful upbringing likely with a lot of suffering. But that will never excuse putting another human being through stuff like this. Let alone the multiples of girls, boys, men and women he has hurt. And a sex trafficking ring? I don’t know if that’s true but I hope he is severely punished for every single one of his crimes and misdeeds.

WOW this book was so hard to read. R Kelly is a pedophile, abuser, sex trafficker, passing out Herpes & who knows what else and make people disappear. I was absolutely disgusted the whole time reading I felt so bad this young lady, now woman. The only good thing now is R Kelly is broke so he has no more power & hopefully this piece of trash will be going to prison the rest of his life. But, 3 things stuck with me. 1. R Kelly not telling her that her Grandmother died was pure evil. And her finding WOW this book was so hard to read. All those other women they were sleeping with, a good chunk probably more contracted the disease as well. 3. What happened to Ray ?? After he told her R Kelly was running a sex trafficking ring and basically be careful. She never saw him again, that's scary.

It was a good read, and short, I finished it in a day. That's due to me being at work and starting things at home. I was her at one point. I was the super R. Kelly fan. I would have done anything to be with him. Even now knowing what I think I know I still get a feeling when I watch videos of him at concerts I attended. At the same time I feel the pain he’s inflicted & feel the fear he’s instilled. I have managed to meet him twice but somehow the deviled I chased and craved was not for me. I thank my lucky stars now for just letting me have fantasies and never experiencing the full experience.

Very short read but filled with content on the world’s most famous child predator. This book made me look at R. Kelly in a whole new light. He is truly a sick twisted man. This was a very short read but it was a page turner nonetheless. The writer made it clear that she isn’t really an author so the only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because it didn’t have a whole lot of detail.

Yes it’s not a perfectly written story, but the content outweighed that. It was a short read as well. I read Kitty’s book and her description pretty much parrallelled this young woman’s experience. An abusive relationship has cycles so of course she would go back and forth. I hope this woman makes lots of money on this book and is able to be successful in life despite having to deal with a predator. None of this is her fault.

I think I read this with my mouth agape the whole time. The story this person has written definitely coincides with the stories we've heard come out about R. Kelly, and it was written before the big national exposure came out about his "sex cult" in 2017. So I definitely believe it. Its graphic. It's a rollercoaster of wild. It can be hard to read remembering we're talking about the perspective of a teenage child here. It was interesting to say the least I think I read this with my mouth agape the whole time. Wow the Daddy's Girl was wild with this book. I'm sure writing this was therapeutic for her but she needs a couch to sit on. After all that I wanna sit on one for her. Daddy's girl put alot in this book and even stateds she couldn't possibly put everything that occured in 5 years. It was a quick read a page turner for sure. Very intense read. I sat and read the whole book online. This story sounds like Jerhonda Pace's account in her book, 'A life Beyond Abuse'. But this, "Sex Me' was on another level. From the books I've read and reading, the 'Surviving R. Kelly', the 'Dateline' special, all the interviews from different girls.. the stories sound similar as to the things he would do to them and make them do. Very intense read. This was a great book and very well descriptive but it does contains sexual content. This book talks about what the author goes through with her celebrity crush but it isn’t what she expected. He was abusive and very controlling but she was to blind to see that because she loves him until one she decided that it was enough and luckily she was able to survive it all.
