*** 4 STARS *** Harder They Fall is a fast-paced thriller which kept me guessing for a long time and turning pages to find out what was going on. There are two different mystery plots and once you finish this one you will want to continue the series to get more answers. I really liked the main characters, especially Eva. I loved her attitude and how she dealt with people in different situations. I loved her attitude and how she dealt with people in different situations. Dan has a short temper, not very useful when dealing with some people but with other abilities which makes him a perfect partner for Eva. This is my first read by this author and it seems that this is not the first series with these main characters but I didn’t have any issues following the story. Definitely I will continue the series to find out more!

Good book He has done it again. This book is a great read. It will keep you guessing until the end. Liked the weathered DI and how Eva was able to solve not only one but, three murders. Enjoy not the bbok.

The was a great thriller that kept me entranced until the very end. Well worth the read. I'm sorry I can't be as positive about the editing. The book neded a good editor and evidently it didn't have one. There were instances where conversations occurred with one person talking to themselves, and one glaring error when a participant in a conversation had been dead for several days. In spite of this, I thought it was an excellent, well written story, and I plan to read more from this author. The was a great thriller that kept me entranced until the very end. Well worth the read. Harder They Fall by Solomon Carter Terrifying to wake up and feel like something is wrong, a run to clear his head, and the sun reflects a gun. A group called weblebrity, one of them was targeted. The case that Eva and Dan investigate, turns into more twists and turns. They are out of their territory, and have the dour policeman to help them. As usual his writing draws you in and no stopping till the end. Well done, and look for more by author.

Thrilling Another fabulous, past paced thriller from Solomon Carter featuring Dan and Eva two private investigators. A suspicious death of an on line blogger. Dan and Eva offer their assistance to Leiticia at Croyde house to investigate. Dan has his own issues, just recovered from being shot in the stomach, but still has no clue to why but thinks the shooter may have been a boxer. Two very different cases. Recommend.

Gripping I would class myself as an occasional reader. However when I do pick a book to read it needs to grab my attention. I found this book hard to put down, which speaks volumes, my husband even commented; "reading again". Enjoyed it so much that I have downloaded the next book in the series. I have given it 4* because the ending left me a little frustrated, no spoilers, intentional I believe so that I would want to read the next book. 😊 Gripping I would class myself as an occasional reader. The fall repeats itself with different members of the Crew A murder mystery that starts with a young man worried about The Croyde Crew . A loosely allied group of bloggers who want to save the world One is killed and the boffins from Port on Down appear . They get in the way of Killigrew- a police inspector who reminds me of Colombo. I loved the book and rush ed to buy the next one before I went this review!

Captivating I was captured on page one! What a thriller this turned out to be. The author draws you in with one scene after another which had me asking repeatedly who could possibly be behind the murders. Each character was so believable that anyone could have been capable of the murders. It wasn't until the very end that you found out the guilty. I was ready to get another of Carter's books immediately.I Captivating I was captured on page one! What a thriller this turned out to be. WOW! What an incredible read. Gripping right from the start . The detail and depth of the story so gripping you just lose yourself in the book. Well done Solomon and thank you. Fantastically gripping from the start. So many twists and turns. Very difficult to put the book down. Brilliantly well written.
Anita Hargreaves –
Fantastic As usual Solomon Carter gives you two crimes in one book with a cliff hanger where one case is solved by these pair of Private Investigators and a question mark hanging over the other. Dan has been shot in the stomach and barely survived, who did it? Also a blogger is found dead, was it murder? Gripping story.

Page Turner Loved this book. Fascinating and fast moving from start to finish. Best in series so far I feel. The new setting was fab and topical story lines made it even more interesting.

Clunky Clunky and simplistic. Only stuck with it to the end as it's set in North Devon and Cornwall which I know well. Don't think I'll be picking up the sequel which will follow from the loose ends left dangling. Clunky Clunky and simplistic. Rivetting I love this series of books. The relationship between Dan and Eva is so real. The way they both work in such different ways but complement each other to get the case solved is enjoyable. Looking forward to The Stone Girl.

Cracking good read Couldn’t put it done, so now I have to get the next book to follow the story. It’s all at a good pace, well written, keeps you on your toes and has enough meat in it to be interesting and believable.

Great British crime novel Eva & Dan take on a case to placate a young intern and find themselves smack in the middle of police and MoD investigations going nowhere! Add in a more personal problem involving Dan's past and you're off! This represents my introduction to this original series. The cool, analytical Eva is well complemented by the more aggressive Dan, as befits an ex-boxer. The story was nicely written and well researched. The subplot, in which Dan seeks to unmask and confront a horrible assassin, is not resolved in this novel; i look forward to the next to learn more.

Yet another great story with Eva and Dan. Looking forward to the next one already. The fast pace keeps up all the way through. Well crafted.

Good read Enjoyed the book. Would read more by this author. Main mystery was solved but now I want to know what happens in the next book with the second storyline!
Vicky Anderson –
Rated 3 stars as while the story is interesting enough and you want to find out what happens the writing style is very simplistic and often clumsy throughout.
