Well that was horribly anti-climatic. After wading through 5 books in this series, Emma and Billy finally have some movement in their relationship. Except.... I don't hold much hope for the rest of the books in this series. There are 4 more books and I guess I will eventually read them. I have no desire to do so right now. I'm that disgusted with the tease at the end and how cheated I felt. I still don't buy this whole "thing" between Emma and Billy. The author did nothing to make me believe that Emma would suddenly flip a switch and decide that she wanted to be with Billy (or not). It felt inauthentic. I liked Emma a little more in this book. I do get annoyed with her though. I'm also over this whole thing with how Sheriff Tucker is written. Does the author seriously expect us to believe that somebody as inept and incompetent as him would still be Sheriff? The man is a flaming idiot. Then again, this is the same author who had Emma steal a suspected murder weapon. This action contaminated the evidence making it inadmissible in court. Then Emma actually thinks that Tucker shouldn't be given the evidence because he would contaminate it! No...idiot...you already did that! GAH. There are parts of this book that are sweet but they are far outweighed by parts that annoy me or make me uncomfortable. The writing is good, I just need more from my books. The whole reason why Emma keeps putting herself into these situations is sketchy. I also don't like how she's decided that she needs to solve all these murders and yet she has no way of defending herself. None. This one was actually a mystery, so there is that. It's still not much of a paranormal book other than the occasional ghost.

Emma is helping out at the Christmas Garden event. When she arrives for her shift reindeer are running everywhere. How did they get out of their pen? Nobody seems to know where their handler is. Emma is helping to catch reindeer when she seems sombody spray painting black paint over part of a Christmas mural painted on the side of a barn. When reporting the spray painting she's told that Christmas lights are also being pulled out of the trees. Later in the day Emma has a ghostly visitor. It's the handler and he wants Emma to find out who killed him. He wants justice. She promises to find out. She thinks there is one killer. She wants this solved before Christmas. The sooner the better. How many people are involved in the vandalism? This must be stopped or the event will be closed down and they will no longer have it. The story is well thought out and well written. There is a lot going on but it is well paced and the story flows. I voluntarily received a free book and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

Where is the cat Emma adopted in the city? Disappointing book. At the end of the last book, Emma adopted a cat, causing some of us to picture the cat interacting with sweet goat Snowball. No cat mentioned in this entire book! Very disappointing! One character's development provided a few nice surprises, but not enough to keep me interested. Have pretty much lost interest in what happens to these folks. In earlier books Emma's friends Suzy and Billy were integral to the stories and added to the plot development. Now that Suzy has married Brian and Billy had backed away from Emma for a while, the interactions that made earlier books so much fun are missing, leaving this book somewhat dull and lackluster. Very disappointing. Oh! Would love to see a video of someone making a fire as described here and having that fire actually burn. If you cannot do the necessary research, please don't provide false and misleading information as though it is factual. Again, very disappointing.

Memories can be all we have Another great read. Okay the sleuthing was so, so but the characters and their lives make this a great read. Nice to see that what we were all waiting for has finally happened. Everything seems to be coming together. Her business is slowly growing, she has settled back into life at the farm and is now involved in the events that are taking part. Was it an accident as the Sheriff thinks or was it murder? Okay the man had a lot of enemies but was one so incensed that they killed him? Trying to juggle the tasks she has is made even more difficult when she promises the ghost of the dead man that she will find his killer? Has she bitten off more than she can chew? Is the vandalism linked? Can she clear things up before Christmas? What will Santa bring her and the other Musketeers this year?

Entertaining ghostly cozy mystery series. A supernatural ghostly cozy mystery series. The great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Emma sees ghosts. For the most part she is the only one around in her town they can see them. It’s not like they are ghost all over the place. She just happens to see ghosts of people who have been murdered. Those ghosts seek her out and want her to solve their mergers. Follow along as Emma with a push metaphorically ever so often from the ghost of the Entertaining ghostly cozy mystery series. Great cozy mystery. Easy to read and FUN. Nice addition to series. Books reads well by itself if you have not previous books. Love the reindeer wrangling. Have to remember that if it should ever happen to me. I hope not, they are bigger than me, yikes. lol. Want to see what happens to the three musketeers now that their lives are changing. This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

Happy Haunted Holiday Read Continuing the story about Hillbilly Hollow, Emma and her grandparents in the holiday season. A new murder brings a new ghost, and new questions about the motive. Has Emma really decided to just be Dr Billy's friend? What's in store for Suzy and Brian? A happily ever after guaranteed! Finally! If you’ve been reading the series from the beginning, you’ll get today “finally!” about a certain duo! This one revolves around Christmas time and the murder mystery of the cranky old man tending the reindeer. Emma is asked by their ghost to solve it and ensues her foray into catching a murderer. It was enjoyable and fun.

Time for Christmas joy Where is the cat? I have read the books in order and right before she left New York she got her old landlords cat. No mention of the cat. Disappointed that in her last book she made mention of the cat and then no mention of her cat in this book. Otherwise good story line.

A fast and fun read. There are definitely some humorous moments. The mystery is a bit simple. I enjoyed how Emma's nemesis was shown to be more complicated than just a managing, humorless woman. She actually outsmarted Emma. A fast and fun read. There are definitely some humorous moments. The mystery is a bit simple. Christmas fair, vandals and murder Another great story involving Emma and her grandparents. The last book mentioned Emma taking a cat home but that cat wasn’t mentioned in this story.

Just started this series and kept reading, very cute. Although like a few others I was looking for the landlady’s cat? I even reread the ending of that book and made sure I had the next in the series. No cat. Glad things are moving along for her main characters will read them all.

More antics in Hillbilly Hollow and lots more fun. Murder Disrupts the Christmas Garden Opening. Who did the deadly deed and why? Emma sees another ghost and tries to solve both the murder and the vandalism at the center. Enjoyable read

What a delightful story. Emma expects to just help put up lights and decorations for the annual Christmas party. She never expected a dead body. A not to be missed book.
