Jeanne Hardt is an amazingly gifted writer and this series was just so good!!! I actually put off reading this book because I wasn’t quite ready to leave Cades Cove and all the characters I had come to know so well through the first three books in the series. Each book in the Smoky Mountain Secrets Saga was excellent. If you’re looking for a 5 star historical fiction series with characters you’ll be thinking about even after the last page, then read the first book Whispers from the Cove. Thank you, Jeanne Hardt, for sharing your gift with the rest of us!

Loved it I was so happy to see the story of Cades Cove resurrected. I love way the lives of Lucas and the people of Waters Rest were interwoven with those of Cades Cove. Perhaps a new story of Caroline and Archibald could carry on the series. I will eagerly wait to see.

I enjoyed reading this series of books. Book 4 was page to page exciting and the ending was very good. I could see many other books in this series if the author continues with it. I enjoy the books taking place in the smokey mountains.

Smothered and.Lucas I have enjoyed all of your books. You capture my attention from the first pages. I enjoyed the part where Rose was supposedly leaving messages in her bible, only to find out her grandson was reading the bible and bookmarking his bible verses.
