Nothing like a Zombie Benefit run to add a little zing into your day. This is an excellent book. It kept me on the edge of my seat.

Halloween is Sonja’s favorite holiday, but it only happens once a year. When her town plans a zombie themed marathon, she is happy to serve Zombie Waffles with Zombie Juice. Sonja can’t wait to dress up for the event. She even signed up to run with her husband, Frank. Unfortunately, one of the runners is found dead. The woman’s death is not natural, and several suspects are identified immediately. The victim’s friends and sister are at the top of the list. There were twists and turns that kept me engaged in the story. The new characters were interesting. I recommend this book. It can stand alone, or you can read and enjoy the series from the beginning.

The early zombie catches the worm (err killer). A good plot. Well thought out and executed plus the ending has a nice justice to it. As Frank investigates, she tries to enlist the help of the ghost by performing a summoning ritual. A missing body, steroids, jealousy and revenge are all mixed into a fun plot. Note: I actually read the Kindle version which has 99 pages (for what that's worth lol). I'm using this one because I don't like having a book on my shelf that has no cover for it. This was a super quick and easy Halloweenish read about a Zombie run in the town of Haunted Falls. It was interesting that it had a prologue that included a couple of the characters to be met. I'm not familiar with the series but I never felt lost since the author does a good job of quickly telling who is who. I'd definitely be interested in reading more in the series, but I do want to start with the first one.

This is an excellent addition to one of my favorite series. You can always count on Carolyn Q Hunter to have interesting storylines and well developed characters. Sonja and Frank are participating in a the Zombithon a charity run of thirteen miles. Of course Sonja manages to stumble over a dead body, a runner that Sonja met at the diner the day before. Sonja promises Frank that she will not investigate but when she finds a clue and Frank is too busy to listen she goes ahead and starts asking ques This is an excellent addition to one of my favorite series. Zombies anyone? When Frank and Sonja sign up for a charity race called the Zombithon, they get more than they bargained for. A runner is murdered and Sonja discovers the body. This is a fun, quick read and I'm looking forward to the next book. Zombies anyone? When Frank and Sonja sign up for a charity race called the Zombithon, they get more than they bargained for. Great story This one kept me guessing. I was intrigued right from the start. I didn't expect the killer to be who it was. Great story This one kept me guessing. I was intrigued right from the start. I didn't expect the killer to be who it was.
