This wasn't the strongest Captain America issue out there, but it wasn't awful either. If Goodreads allowed for half star ratings, I'd give it a 3 1/2 without hesitation. Still, I couldn't bring myself to give it a four, so here we are. I loved the parts with Sharon holding her own, and the Black Panther cameo was a fun one. I'm not sure how I feel about everything else that's happening. The implications about what has happened to Nuke, and more than that - what Black Panther and Captain America This wasn't the strongest Captain America issue out there, but it wasn't awful either. The implications about what has happened to Nuke, and more than that - what Black Panther and Captain America did to the newest versions of Nuke (despite the doomed status they held)...it didn't seem like a move these characters would easily take. I guess that shows how bad things have gotten, huh? I'm still curious to see where this is all going to lead, and how they'll resolve all the trust issues that are evolving.

If you follow the pop-ups, the rating system here on Goodreads is to say how much the reader liked the book. It is not a measure of the book's quality. And that's important in this case, I think. Because I really enjoyed this book. But I think most of my enjoyment came from the contrast between Cap's ideals and those of current-day real-life leaders, which meant that, despite so much of this issue being a monologue, I really enjoyed it. I'm really enjoying what's happening here. This has real elements of Winter Soldier in it and Coates makes me want to read the Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 series and the Secret Empire series. Can't wait for the next! More than just meets the eye Coates does a great job of moving the story along with parallels to our own time that are just enough to get you thinking. Always great to see Cap in action and, while he learns, we learn.

Things are starting to move Didn't see Selene coming. Not your usual Cap foe. Glad to see Sharon hasn't lost a step. Keep it up Things are starting to move Didn't see Selene coming. Not your usual Cap foe. Glad to see Sharon hasn't lost a step. Keep it up

The Wakandan presences seems like a ploy to capitalize on a movie obsession, but so far it works.

Man, I’m so glad I found these 5 comics in a used discount bin (1-4 plus the annual) I keep saying, ok one more issue. The slow burn is so good here.

Este número es lento en la trama y dejando varias sorpresas para el siguiente número...😕😕

This was fun! Great read: - action scenes (a short one with Sharon Carter at the begging and a bigger one with BP and Cap towards the end) - great artwork, partly because of new settings and colour pallets (on T‘Challas aircraft). The two issues before I often felt that the panels where missing something and i think it was the underused background which was mostly just plain grey or beige - I also found that the black panther appearance felt pretty smooth
