I have made it through every book in the series gaining a new 'friend' in each, and appreciating the author's writing style and flow. This book ends the series, but you have to read it-to laugh, cry,be afraid to get up or to stop as the lives of our friends are scattered about by a madman... A 5 STAR book, an intense, emotional ending to a series so many should read...Thank You author John Mefford for allowing us to meet and dream with this great bunch of Friends- I look forward to what you deliver to us next!! I received an ARC copy of this book as an Advance Reader for the author, and I hope many will be interested in my review and take a look at this entire series...

When I first started reading this book I was seriously angry with Mr. Mefford. After reading the first 23 books in the series I was very connected to the characters in his books. So this book threw me for a major loop right from page one. There is a rash of killings very close to home for Alex, Ozzie and Ivy. Someone is orchestrating murders in different towns at nearly the same time. And the killings just keep getting worse. While I'm sad to see this series end, I can't wait for Mr. Mefford's next books! I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Wow! What a way to end a series. I figured that this being the final book in the series I would be in for a thrilling ride. Well, the ride was more than thrilling it was explosive, spectacular and electrifying. It is a fitting end to what I believe is an awesome series. I will seriously miss these characters. They have become a big part of my life. I travelled alongside them as they navigated through personal and job-related issues. Issues that would drive anyone insane, but their inner strength aided them in overcoming these problems. The series on a whole was emotional, but this installment took me through the ringer. How much more can they take? Ivy, Alex and Ozzie can never seem to get a break and it was no different in this installment. Persons close to them are being murdered or attacked. The question is who in their circle of friends would be next and who is responsible for the murders. Talk about an edge of your seat. I was literally scared for them. The mastermind is always one-step ahead. They say there is a fine line between genius and madness and this rings true for the villain of this story. Diabolical and meticulous in his planning he is determined to get revenge. A wide suspect pool made it difficult to pinpoint the identity of this madman. I did not figure out the villain's identity and his end game until near the end. The shocking revelation by this madman left me speechless. I can honestly Say I never saw that one coming. Mefford certainly knows how to shake up things. This was literally unputdownable. Every chance I got I picked it up. I had to know what next would happen. I loved the ending. Tied up neatly and leaving no unanswered questions. It only left me wanting more of these characters. Conclusion/Recommendation If you have not started this series I recommend you try it. I am glad I did and I am eager to see what next Medford has in store for his fans. His next book cannot come soon enough.

This author is definitely high up on my go-to author list. It is hard to go wrong with a John Mefford book and AT Full Tilt is one of those that will keep you up late at night, seeking to read just one more chapter. Mefford combines mystery, crime, humor, and drama for a compelling crime thriller.

Members of her closest friends are being murdered. The murders have been accomplished in Texas and Boston. There has to be a link, but what is it? One of the individuals is the fiancé of her pregnant friend, Ivy Nash. Saul was an attorney and had planned on marrying Ivy after the baby was born. Ivy, having suffered tremendously as a child in the foster care system, now must grief the loss of her soulmate, and raise their child on her own. Whoever this murderer is, he’s always ahead of the FBI and law enforcement. The murders keep mounting, her friends keep dying, and if that wasn’t enough, Alex is being framed as corrupt and spearheading the murders. Who is doing this? What is the motive? Could it be someone that she helped put in prison? Are her children in danger? She is able to obtain help from her long time law enforcement friend, Stan Radowski, and her partner, Nick. She also has the assistance from her friend and private investigator, Ozzie. They all put their heads together to try to figure out what the common denominator is for these murders. Her, significant other, Brad, has also been attacked. He would’ve been murdered as well, if Nick and Stan hadn’t been there to intercede. Will Brad survive his injuries? The Globe has printed a story that basically pins a target on Alex’s back, because everyone believes she’s gone rogue and is now corrupt. Even her FBI co-workers are now chasing her. It seems that all of these murders tie into something from the past, but Alex just can’t seem to obtain evidence that will point her in the right direction. Will Alex be able to clear her name and restore her career and her reputation? This book was written so well, that the reader is definitely taken on a ride that seems to capture their curiosity from page one until the very last page. The storyline keeps the reader enthralled throughout. The various underlying themes are genius and culminate into an unexpected finale. The character development was superb, and incorporated the lives of her friends from previous books, so the reader wasn’t left behind during the entire book. I must give ultimate praise to John Mefford for this book. In my estimation, I do believe it has been one of his best yet!!

Wow! This last installment took my love for John Mefford’s books and this series to a WHOLE new level! I literally could not and did not put this book down until I was finished! To be honest, I was a little mad at myself for reading through it so quickly. This series has been a big part of my reading life and I am going to miss the story lines and characters dearly! I seriously feel like I bonded with them through Mefford’s writings! A must read this winter!

Alex, Ozzie and Ivy have again been targeted. Someone is killing those close to them. Buy why? Is it random? Is there more than one killer? The answers to these questions keep eluding Alex and company. Who will be next and how can the killer be stopped before he strikes again? It was bittersweet to finish this book. So we have finally reached the end of both the Alex Troutt and the Redemption series. Having read the whole series because I am a (very lucky) advance reader for Mr Mefford, I can now see how the whole series hangs together, but that really wasn't revealed until the end of this incredible book. So to this book in particular, one of the author's strengths is that he is able to create believable characters, both good and bad, and in this work there are some almost deliciously bad characters, as well as some very good strong ones. The story is extremely well constructed, and has several of the peripheral characters, all friends of Alex, Ozzie or Ivy, being brutally murdered in an orchestrated killing spree. Be aware however, the author isn't afraid to give some rather gruesome details of how they die. In a further twist Alex appears to be implicated in the murders, and has to go on the run from her FBI colleagues and the police. It is very hard to go into any further details of the rest of the plot without giving away huge spoilers, but suffice it to say that there is an incredibly exciting, cruel and sadistic culmination to the story, where the survival of any of the characters is in doubt, with the addition of a major emotional bombshell being dropped. For me this is the best of the series and is a fantastic read, and really couldn't be given any less than 5 stars. One word of warning though, this is a great stand-alone read, but it is a brilliant conclusion to the the series, so, if you can, read the other books in the series first, they give so much more background to the characters. I did receive an advance copy of the book, but I am voluntarily reviewing it based on my own opinions.

" Shaken but not dead." We have travelled a long way with the people - and yes, the do feel like people, not just characters in a book - since first meeting Alex Troutt in book one, At Bay. There's A!ex herself, an FBI agent who first lost her memory, then her husband, and struggled at times to combine family and work. Later, there's Ivy, who'd endured foster home after foster home, suffering abuse then and torturous attacks later, her life dedicated to trying to protect children. And, finally, Ozzie, a young lawyer whose comfortable life was wrenched away when his adoptive father died leaving him without job or money, and no home either when his beloved wife abandons him. During the series, each has grown, endured, changed, made and lost friends, including getting to know each other. Now, it seems, it will all come tumbling down as, all around them, friends and loved ones begin to die. With his excellent ability to create atmosphere and character as well as simple action, Mr.Mefford brings a crescendo of an ending to an outstanding series. One word of warning to anyone not yet familiar with the series: start at the beginning, or at least with book 19, At Stake, the fourth quarter and the return to the Alex Troutt focus: you will not be disappointed. Get to know these people, live with them through the crime and problems and occasional joys that beset their lives. Then the full impact of this grand finale will really strike home. I will be sorry to say goodbye. Recommended. Both this book, At Full Tilt, and the whole Redemption series.

What was that?!?! This ending...the story...what!!!! I don’t think I have ever read a book that killed that many important characters at one time let alone in the last book...it was freaking diabolical. Several moments had my heart dropping and thinking “no no no” and then racing again when a loop was thrown. Alex remains the main character, but this book and the wrap up of all three series really showed the depths of loss and harm and perseverance that these three have experienced. They are all bada**, amazing strong characters that have taken me for one heck of a literary adventure. Brad, Nick, Stan, Brooke and Nicole have a role in this series that should not be understated and as this story progresses undervalued..because they also deal with and hav Edelman with some major losses in this series while also having some major heroic moments. This series or set of series for Alex, Ivy and Ozzie is fantastic. I enjoyed all the books and found the ideas of the cases as well as the overarching storyline that I just finished to be creative, entertaining and quite unique. Well done, well done indeed!

This book is one to be read and pondered for the underlying message that is so relevant in today's craziness. Thank you John for writing this book. I am so glad to be able to read your books and glad to write a review for it.

What a fitting ending to the Redemption Series! This last book in the series takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride from page one. We have come to know Alex, Ivy, Ozzie and all the intertwining characters so intimately throughout this excellent series. But what we find out at the end is mind blowing! This book takes from one horrific death to another in rapid succession as we hold our breath wondering who is next. When we finally know the answer everything finally makes sense. Wow. Just holy crap wow. 'AT Full Tilt' was one of those books that gets your heart pumping from the very beginning. I thought John was really losing his mind when I started reading and $hit was literally going haywire. I wasn't sure how many readers he wanted to keep after this book, but I was wrong. I was wrong because I just had to be patient and read on. Intense is the best way I can describe this story line. Alex, Ozzie and Ivy go through so much, but then again they have been going through Wow. Just holy crap wow. Definitely a must add to your tbr list. Recommended.

I am so sad that this is the end of both The Redemption and Alex Trout Series. What an end to this fantastic Series. I did not think it could be this thrilling. It was wonderful how all the loose ends were all tied up leaving you satisfied. I knew it long ago but it took to the end to confirm my suspicions. I have read the whole series and got to know and love the characters like they were my own family. They will definitely be missed. I am sad that this is the end of a great adventure.   I have really enjoyed getting to know Alex,  Ivy,  Ozzie and the gang. At the beginning of this final chapter of their lives I was thinking, "John WTF are you doing to my beloved characters?!".  I was in fact getting angry at the direction things were going.  As usual though John Mefford pulls it all together.   So many unexpected (and sone not so happy) twists and turns.  A great way to pull it all together and wrap things up. I have enjoyed this entire series, and never in my wildest dreams thought it would end with such an intertwined story that I just had to know the ending to, but didn't want it to end!!!! Alex, Ozzie, Ivy, I will hold out hope that we shall meet again. If you haven't read this series, shame on you, a true mystery fan would never miss such a wonderful writer that brings you right into the story. I received a free ARC of this story and this is my honest review. My 25th read from author John Mefford and what a ride it's been! Every book John Mefford writes is better than his last & if you were to look at my list of favorite authors you'd find John Mefford's name up near the top. I don't know how he keeps coming up with intriguing storylines, but he does & I love it! It's only fitting that the long-running series that began with Alex Troutt is concluding with her. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018). My 25th read from author John Mefford and what a ride it's been! What's happening? It's is hard for me to keep my heart from aching with what's happening with the main characters. This has to be a dream, maybe I'll wake up when I read the next book. Very riveting.. Very hard to put down. I kept wondering if this will be the last book in this series. I hope not, I'm addictive to these characters too much. What's happening? Wow! Didn't imagine it, see it all coming and enjoyed it start to finish. Mefford holds nothing back in this finale. Buckle in and read the series to fully understand it but without a crystal ball I don't know how you would imagine it ending this way. Hints throughout the series but nicely wrapped up at the end! Wow. I don't think there's another word to describe this latest installment in the Redemption series. I cried, my mind and heart were racing, and I was totally enthralled by the story. Without a doubt the most chilling tale yet from John Mefford, AT Full Tilt will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering where the next twist will send you. Received as a gift Wow. To end his fantastic Alex, Ozzie & Ivy series, all the heroes & antagonists have been brought together to conclude an outstanding story. This book has so many unexpected events, links & conclusions to terminate in an astounding finish. John Mefford is a brilliant author & deserves his surefire success with this 24-book series. Looking forward to his next ones!

What happened This is a great book but it seems to have stopped in the middle of the storey. Ivy has just been kidnapped. I don't understand what's going on is there going to be an ending ??? Have read the whole series don't leave me hanging. What happened This is a great book but it seems to have stopped in the middle of the storey. Ivy has just been kidnapped.
