Newsflash for newbie therapists: most clients won't do homework. However, if you can incorporate some of these activities into your sessions they can be used as an introspective therapeutic activity. Also, watching families work on a project together during a session can be a teaching tool for family dynamics. Newsflash for newbie therapists: most clients won't do homework. It's true- this book really does have printable handouts that accompany the activities to give to clients. When interns come into my office and ask what to do with child clients I hand them this book.
