Extreme, yes, but little else. I think I'm done with extreme horror. Pigs reads like a Saw fans wet dream. There are lots of severed body parts and violent scenes but it's real hard to give a shit about anybody. If you think the Saw movies are the best thing since bread came sliced, Pigs will work for you. However, if you want something with any kind of narrative depth, avoid this like the plague. There is definitely a market for this sort of fiction but it feels tired and tedious now. I'm done. Extreme, yes, but little else. I think I'm done with extreme horror. The story was very gruesome and dealt with extreme horror that felt like something you would see in Saw. The story also included two different endings, I much preferred the original ending since it was gruesome and left you thinking. This was a great read and I'm glad I was able to pick this one up. I would definitely recommend if you love revenge stories and can deal with some extreme horror. This is a hidden gem.

Oh, did I mention that the wife and baby died, and he was convicted for assaulting a police officer, for which their wives showed up in court to bear false witness. When he finished serving time in prison he paid the Police Officers a visit at their homes and I'll let you find out the rest. What I liked about this story in comparison to other works from Wade Garrett is that you actually don't feel sorry for the victims who are on the receiving end of his brand of vigilante justice. For example when reading "Human Cruelty", while you wanted justice to be done for all of those tortured animals, after some time, I felt that the animal abusers received the justice that they deserved and at that point I really wished that Brad would just kill them or let them go. An experience like that would turn me into Dr. Fucking Doolittle. With Pigs, however, Wade succeeded in making these Police characters, unrepentant, evil, corrupt, incorrigible, as to draw no sympathy from the readers. Good job, Wade. Truth be told, Wade H Garrett scares me because I wonder how much time he spends thinking and designing these different torture contraptions in his head. They are not only imaginative, but technically sound and elaborate.

It shows the harsh realities of our country, and how corrupt and often unjust the systems we have in place are. When you live in a system where you fear the ones who are supposed to protect you, you know that the system is broken, and this book shows how this unjust system might push ones self to the brink of insanity. This book follows Jake, whos wife and unborn child were wrongly killed at the hands of those "sworn to protect". Not only was his family killed at the hands of the police, but he was wrongly incarcerated after the police in question lied about the situation and painted him as a murderer. To some this may seem like an exaggeration of our reality, but with the recent unjust murder of George Floyd, and many other African Americans being killed at the hands of the police day by day, I wouldn't say this book is far from the world we live in. After the main character loses his family and freedom to the unfair, he vowes revenge on the three cops who ruined his life. He embarks on a John Wick style journey for revenge, accompanied with jig-saw style torture on those who have wronged him. It's gruesome, graphic and fucked up. This book is completely horrific and grips you while also making you cringe with every page. The ending especially is horrific, and the alternate ending was fascinating to. It's a dark and extremely look on how a broken system can break a man. To clarify, the events in this book are pure fiction and should stay that way, you can create change in this world without murder and violence, but with protest and raising awareness. I would highly recommend this book for a topical, relevant, and thrilling messed up piece of fiction.

Not for the feint of heart! Everything I've read by Wade H. Garrett has been an excellent, compelling read. Truth be told, this author is not a man I'd want to reside with by any means, due to the fact that he writes like he must be some kinda madman! However, I will continue to support him as a writer, because entertainment value alone...not to mention the way my heart pounds, I break out into a cold sweat, and I'll constantly be looking over my shoulder each & every time I read one of Mr. Garre Not for the feint of heart! MY FIRST WADE GARRETT READ It is extreme horror with brutal maiming and kills. This story is also quite sad. I do like the fast pace of the story. It all happens so fast that there's no character development and their fates do not matter; at least they didn't for me. I will be adding Wade to my short list of extreme horror writers. Pretty good It has a lot of gore and some believable and some not quite believable actions. Even though it was a pretty short story I found myself thinking what if it had happened to me? Could I or would I respond the same way? Thankfully I don’t have to think about!

woah so I'm not even sure where to even begin with this review. This was extreme horror at its finest. This was probably one of the more disturbing and gut wrenching books I've ever read and this one will for sure hunt me for a while. This one was super graphic, chilling, haunting and yet I could not put it down. I finished this one in two sittings since I needed a small break in the middle due to how graphic it was.like this one will literally make your stomach churn, you need a strong stomach woah so I'm not even sure where to even begin with this review. This book was about a guy who lost his family due to an unfortunate event that occurred when he was trying to get his wife to the hospital while she was in labor. After not getting justice for what happened that night, Jake decided to take matters into his own hands and man does he ever. You dont want to get on this guys bad side. Jake is out for revenge and hes not about letting you have the easy way out. no he makes sure his victims get the exact torture he feels they deserve. The way he got his revenge was pretty brutal but man this book was so twisted and messed up and gives you pretty much an idea of inside the mind of a psychopath who became that way due to grief and loss. If you like extreme horror and enjoy reading books so terrifying they just may give you nightmares than this is the book for you. I enjoyed how it had two different endings and both showed two different outcomes based on the descions the person made at the end. This book may have been short with a little over a 100 pages but they story and charcaters are sure to stay with you for a long time. Anyway off to go read something fluffy now lol! anyway I felt this was pretty well writing and engaging and it's like one of those things you hate to look at but at the same time cant look away either.

Typical Wade G. Garrett I've read everything by wade h. Garrett and as usual after reading his books, it leaves me out if breath longing for more. I csn never get enough of his writings. He's a mordern day vigilante who extracts justice for the downtrodden, the voiceless, the helpless and law abiding and God fearing people whose cries for justice in the judicial system when they've been wrong, not only goes unheard but to add salt to the wounds, it is also flaunted in their faces. Well now there's a new vindicator in town that does not let these wicked people who hide behind the appointments in high places and have the authority to do whatever to whoever whenever and wherever they want to. I guarantee anyone who believes in justice for the underdog that reads just 1 of his books, wont be able to put it down until they've read all his books!! With the exception of 1 childrens book. "PYEWACKET". Just beware if you do dare read his books i suggest starting witb the "A GLIMPSE INTO HELL" series. * be sure to heed the warning at the beginning of each of his books unlike other warnings i suggest you take this one seriously! ,it us not for the squimesh, the politically correct, the ethically or the morally correct!! Once you've read it your mind cannot unread it. His writing has a way of leaving one with feeling of vindication or unrepentance. Depends on which side of the fence you're on! A nasty novella that packs a wallop This is my first encounter with Wade’s work but it definitely won’t be my last. The hot button topic of police brutality is handed well and I appreciate someone that has an obvious affinity for police still voicing a concern for corrupt centurions. The brutal set pieces have to be read to be believed. There certainly is a lot of creativity focused into the destruction and violation of these officers ( and some of their family members ) bodies. I love everything he writes I think this writer is a skilled story teller where you feel you are there with the main character. Also the darkness of his violence written is amazing. I gave it 5 stars because his stories are gruesome. I recommend it to anyone who loves this genre of writing. I never gave a review so I hope this helps for other readers to try out his books.

Great book I enjoyed every page. It was fear filled dfrom page 1 to the end. I liked both endings but the first ending was more fitting punishment. I want to thank you for this book and i want to wish my apologies for the 5 police officer families who were killed in action in Houston 2 days ago. RIP

If you're into revenge & vindication - you have to read this... it's a well deserved vengeance against three cops which causes a man to lose his wife and unborn child but I have to warned you the torture were brutal so if you don't like gory stuff, this is not for you. This is purely (for it’s gory) entertainment. DNF at about page 10. The writing reminded me like a Penthouse letter at the start. Within the start the characters were described as looking like Colin Ferrell, Emma Stone and Seth Rogen. The interaction between a man on the phone on 911 and then the police was a bit much, but I guess it would set up the rest of the story. Not for me but if the synopsis intrigues you- check it out.

Horribly written. Literally every character is described as looking like some celebrity (Colin Farrell, Seth Rogen, Ron Perlman) it’s just lazy. The kills are alright, but it wasn’t worth it to trog through this absolutely abysmal novella.
