Californian Kelly Myers has been dreaming of a postcard perfect holiday in Oyster Bay with her newfound family, but no one ever prepared her for a blizzard, or warned her that the cottage she is renting doesn’t exactly have a reliable furnace. Still, she’s determined to make this New England Christmas the best one ever, complete with gingerbread houses, stocking stuffers, Californian Kelly Myers has been dreaming of a postcard perfect holiday in Oyster Bay with her newfound family, but no one ever prepared her for a blizzard, or warned her that the cottage she is renting doesn’t exactly have a reliable furnace. Still, she’s determined to make this New England Christmas the best one ever, complete with gingerbread houses, stocking stuffers, and all the other things she missed out on growing up…things that her half-sisters don’t seem to have any time for now. When the cottage’s caretaker makes it known that the old house will soon be torn down, Kelly decides to make him an offer he can’t resist—first, she’ll have to help him find his Christmas spirit. But as the days pass and her hopes for the holiday begin to dwindle, Kelly discovers that there’s more to this small town than she first thought, and that it could just turn her back into a believer after all. With a little tinsel, a dash of romance, and a few surprises, this Christmas may still be the most magical one yet…

Christmas at the Cottage by Olivia Miles is a delightful book filled with all the lovely things about Christmas! It takes place in snowy Maine among a quaint town called Oyster Bay. A snowy cottage, a little romance, a Christmas Bazarre complete with handmade stockings and hot chocolate, a tree lighting and more all bring out the Christmas spirit in this book. Kelly is the sister of Hannah and Evie, and this is her first Christmas in Oyster Bay which means she is ready to deck the halls. Kelly is the sister of Hannah and Evie, and this is her first Christmas in Oyster Bay which means she is ready to deck the halls. But she has a real life Scrooge to contend with, although maybe Noah isn’t the cold hearted man that people think he is. Kelly is so content in the Christmas Card town her sisters grew up in, she can’t imagine ever leaving. Maybe she is meant to stay. Olivia Miles is an author I look forward to reading because she knows how to write a heartfelt homey story spun around the holidays and makes you feel the magic! Happy Reading and Merry Christmas!

Beautiful easy read for December when all that's on your mind and in your heart is Christmas. The setting of the story provides a winter wonderland paradise for all things Christmas to unfold. It reminds us to always keep an open heart; for it is the only way for love to enter. Also, the author reminds us to abandon our expectations of Christmas as gate may have something else in mind for us. Giving is accentuated throughout the story, resulting in receiving something in return. Be brave, be bol Beautiful easy read for December when all that's on your mind and in your heart is Christmas. First I have to say I am so sad this series is over. I have loved the characters, Oyster Bay, the relationships and traditions. This was a great wrap. Half Sister Kelly and the Town Scrooge, Noah Branson were at the center of this story. Keepsake Cookies, its’ place in the Town’s traditions and how it changes life decisions leaves me longing to taste one of these cookies while attending the Christmas Bazaar or Christmas Eve. Sweet sweet story! I would recommend this book to all my friends! I felt Kelly’s hesitation, fear and wants for a family Christmas. Makes me want to experience a snowy Christmas also!

Scrooge's Amazing Transformation Kelly is truly a lover of all things Christmas! She wasn't prepared to meet a grumpy recluse who didn't like anything about the holiday season. Being optimistic, she was determined to change his mind... Scrooge's Amazing Transformation Kelly is truly a lover of all things Christmas! Did not want it to end. The perfect modern take on Scrooge. It is such a sweet, relaxing and happy book set in the snow and makes you want to hop in the four wheel drive and move to Maine. All soft and cozy like hot chocolate and a roaring fire!

I really love this series and this book was no exception in fact I think it may be the best one in the series. Kelly meets Evie for the first time. She gives someone back their Christmas Spirit while falling in love. Great book Olivia Miles.

Wonderful story about finding that you have more on what you are expecting to see or hear from people. Beautiful written on how one person can change the face of another person by showing them the real meaning of Christmas.

I’ve read several other Olivia Miles book previously and enjoyed them. This book was just a bit boring and there wasn’t much chemistry between the two main characters.
