I feel like I expected to get a detective story, family drama, tragedy and so on, but instead got romance, even comedy and of course an action pack. It was an enjoyable read, thus, I will not complain about the things that could have been better and will concentrate on the things that were just right. Also, the two main characters might not be my favorite pair out there, but their adventures were something to look forward for. Musso really didn't waste his breaths. As a result, I might try something else of his in the future (maybe near future, maybe seven years later, you never know...)

It's not OK to say that book is crap. You know someone loves it. It's not OK to call it a waste of your time, because...well none of the books are waste of time. As always, a good book, with incredible rhythm and full of adventure. What I missed this time was a bit of the special "magic" that Guillaume Musso so often uses in his writing. This read more as a thriller than a "usual Musso", which regularly is characterized by synchronicities, strange characters who give the hero a special token that will enable him or her to do something special (like going back in time), etc. I missed that side. Definitely a Goodread, anyway. Maria Carmo, Lisbon 16 July 2012.

5 out of 5, without a doubt! It's how a Mission Impossible movie would look like if Mission Impossible would be based on a book. Even the main character, Sebastian, looked a lot like Tom Cruise in my mind. Much like 'L'appel de l'ange', this book is packed with action and it catches you from the first pages. The characters have flaws, like every human being. They are not perfect people. They are people with problems and people dealing with their own... stuff. With a bit of imagination (and maybe after watching way too many action movies!) you can clearly have some images in your mind: New York, Paris, Rio, the deep Amazonian forests and everything in between. It's only flaws were that 1. you kinda figure out A PART of what's happening after like... half of the book, but not all of it and 2. the ending was a bit.. sudden, but I am going to close on my eyes on it because it's not that much of a problem and everything you need to know it's exaplained in the book. So yeah... the book is just so good and it's certainly one of the best books I've read from Musso!

It only is the second Musso's book that I'm reading, but I think it will already be the last. 2/5 I feel exactly the same way I felt after Central Park: what just happened? The book took suuuch a long time to start! At first, I absolutely had no idea where the author wanted to take us. Then it got clearer, and, I won't lie, I liked the middle of the story. There was action, a lot of different places, cities, countries... But the end... well, I really didn't like it. I just don't see where everything is coming and I think it was really exaggerated. But one of the worst thing in this book is Nikki and the MP3. Sebastian told her to look literally everywhere , she found what she thought to be her son's phone, and nope, she just doesn't look inside, even if there isn't any password. Really? I nevertheless liked the characters, their story, and I appreciated seeing some flashbacks from when Nikki and Sebastian they were younger.

One star only because I feel cheated. As for the previous book by Musso published in Poland ("Telefon od aniola") I knew it's not the usual, magical Musso. I've been warned, he himself said at one of his meetings with his readers that "he doesn't want to write the same stuff all his life". Fine. However I didn't know that about "7 lat pozniej". Reading this book was like riding a roller coaster. it's a story of a divorced couple who were once head over heels with each other. they decide to join forces and find their " abducted" twins. BLA BLA BLA. If you ever think that you've got things figured out, well, newsflash. YOU ARE WRONG. throughout reading I kept focusing on the details trying to who did what and why, but Oh no. I love a book that keeps me reading late into the night. and 7 ans après... was that. It's a romp on three different continents featuring a divorced couple trying to find their disappeared children. The plot is far fetched, but my imagination got hooked and it was just fun. It’s not elaborate writing, but I like its simplicity. And at the heart of its strength are its characters - the seductive, impetuous Nikki whose sexual energy can’t help but attract most men with whom she crosses paths, but wh I love a book that keeps me reading late into the night. and 7 ans après... was that. It’s not elaborate writing, but I like its simplicity. And at the heart of its strength are its characters - the seductive, impetuous Nikki whose sexual energy can’t help but attract most men with whom she crosses paths, but who is dealing with a whole package of self esteem issues. Her ex-husband Sebastian, the completely serious, hardworking, reputation-driven violin maker, whose rage boils over too often. He has control issues too. And then there’s Constance, a police officer with but weeks to live because of a cancer diagnosis, who can’t resist taking on one last case. She is rude and demanding - of her staff, of everyone she meets, like the poor cashier at her local bakery — but you can feel that at heart she is motivated by compassion. Just like this book. It’s a book that deals with peoples’ reactions in extreme situations. What do you do when your child has disappeared? How do you act when you know your life is almost over? Politeness sometimes goes out the window, and in the case of some of these characters, it seems there wasn’t much politeness to begin with. Impulsive, angry, loud, jealous, bitter, they’re full of foibles. They seem human and even, despite the crazy plot twists, kind of real.

Another exciting thriller from Musso, 7 ans apres tells the story of the Larabees, a whole family caught in a plot of crime, drugs and... love. Two divorced parents start a search for their missing children in NYC in order to end up in the Amazonian Jungle a few days later to find more than just their twins.

The only reason I gave this book two stars is because it kept my mind occupied for a while. It is however, one of the worst thrillers I have ever read, full of clichees, every action is completly predictable, characters are weak and the plot in general is just...lousy.

Unlike Central Park that gave me the feeling I was somehow cheated, this book made me feel cosy. Yes, there is a lot of action, running around Paris, escaping police, stealing cars and getting into all sorts of unimaginable situations which make the book exciting, apart from the explosion of the plane in Brazil (which in my view was just too much). If this is put aside, I felt this was a family story and it would sooner or later end well. In a way it made me feel safe, so I kept on reading...

It is another great book of this author. An extremly easy read. I liked the story but it was really predictable. the events in the story were very easy to be expected. the very high dose of violence and the intense desire to make heroic unrealistic actions from unethical and less than ordinary persons made the novel inconsistent and silly. i liked the intense desire of the boy to collect the family and the battles the parents welcomed to pass to save their kids

I enjoyed reading it but it didn't meet my expectations. The plot and all the adventures were fairly good, have a slow pace in the first half before Musso remarkably speeds events up. I think the two main characters could have been better, and I didn't like the ending I found it cheesy and a cliché. So this is not one of Musso's best books.
