And just when you think things cant get any weirder...they do. FYI - I try not to give spoilers with my reviews. This is just my overall opinion of the story. This portion of the quest takes them to some places they never even realised existed. The obstacles the Coven have to overcome in this book aren't as difficult as previous ones (at least in my opinion), at least until the get to their final destination. They should have seen it coming, considering who they were dealing with, but in their defence their heads were all over the place, and well... I missed it too, so ... anyhoo. The story ends with our Coven in yet another tight spot, and this time it might be more than they can overcome even for the Aether Witch.

Doing a reread for the newest book in this action packed adventure. It is just as good as I remember. So much has happened since I first read these that I had forgotten how much detail and information is in each book. Chandelle is an absolute genius, I honestly don't know how she does it. The history, the characters interwoven stories, the hints and clues of what's to come " some 5 to 6 books later" it is mind boggling. This is definitely YA fantasy at its best. Absolutely recommend! Here we go again. Chandelle LaVaun has this ability to turn my emotions into a tumbling mess. One minute I’m crying, then cheering, then chewing my inside cheek in complete anguish. I love this series. In The Eternal Witch Tegan is back, her magic has evolved, but is she good or bad? Either way can the deep betrayal ever be repaired ? Before they have have faced life or death, but this is a different story, every single card is in danger from the word go, will they all make it to the end ? They face danger at every turn, it is endless, it drains their strength, consumes them completely and drains their emotions. They have to face a history that is not theirs, a history that should never have been, that is hard to bare. This quest didn’t sound to hard to complete, but leaves them with utter hopelessness. Alongside all this despair, still runs this intense love story between the two main characters, is it finally unrepairable? Will this finally be the end. We also feel the love growing between other coven members, new, fresh and invigorating. They should have grabbed it earlier, had more time. The cliffhanger ending leaves so much that can go wrong, will we see them all again in the next instalment or was this really the end.... Chandelle LaVaun gets your blood pumping, let’s you take a breathe then pushes you harder as you progress through this book. She will take fiction and make you feel reality, she will use your emotions, wring them out and give them back having used every single tear, laugh and woe. This whole series will steal you away from your reality, make time disappear, give you another family who you will love and cry for and will leave you wanting more. 5 stars Chandelle LaVaun. You deserve more

This series is just more awesome with each new book. Tegan is back, but not everyone is ready to understand and forgive, and the least of all Tenn, who is hurt too much, and even more stubborn. But when new prophecy appears, everyone is on alert. This quest is different, and far more dangerous than the previous ones. I probably do not have enough words in my vocabulary to express how I feel about this story. I may be still a little bit high from all the emotions and hormones raging from plain reading, as this series is like a drug - with all the aftereffects. It was very intense, full of turmoil and surprises, and emotions raging in all directions. Lots of action twined with passion and love, wrapped up in limitless magic, that is something every fantasy fan will adore. It was fascinating, suspenseful, and totally wicked. I love all the characters, all their flaws and all their talents, the fabulous magic, and trying quests. I love to watch how the relationships change and develop over time, not even a bit slowlier than the pace of the plot development. So much was packed into relatively few pages... I was done with the book within several hours, staring at my e-reader and reluctant to open a new one for quite some time. Recommended read for everyone, but specifically for YA fantasy fans.

I can't even express how much I love this series and each book just makes me love it that much more. The Eternal Witch doesn't disappoint and so much happens that I was afraid to blink. There are amazingly written battle scenes that just, wow, took my breath away. As with previous books we get the multiple point of views which I love. It offers depth and perception that this book needs with so many characters heavily invested. I really don't want to accidentally ruin the plot for anyone but wow. This latest installment in the series is another roller coaster ride. Various members of the Coven are on another time sensitive Quest requiring them to continue to develop and understand their range of magical and self defense gifts. I have anxiously awaited this book since I finished book 4...and it did not disappoint. I love that it goes back and explains the answers, at least partway, to questions held from books earlier in the series. While answering those, it also leaves you with more questions. Good I enjoyed this book a lot. Have really enjoyed this series. The characters are so real you feel like you’re in the story with them. I like the magic system, and the concept of the cards. Really interesting. There was, for me, more dumb stuff they did this time though. Got a little aggravated with some of them. Overall, great series. Even though it’s “technically “ :) young adult, I very much enjoy.

No surprise that book 5 was just as good as the others. The story itself keeps on getting better and better. Tegan and Tennesse are the power couple definitely. The Elemental Stones are in play While I didn’t like this book quite as much as the last one, it is still fairly fantastic. The Coven if Cards is thrown into yet another quest, with quests buried inside, and gave to struggle to find the Elemental Stones that were given to the other races (yes, we get to meet them!) With plenty of character POV to help us gather the story together, and Samhain just around the corner, things are heating up.

Back to the future witch version!!! This book left me shocked. That ending holy moon and stars! They can't be dead nope I don't believe it nope I can't that's to much heart ache right there! I actually had to have a break from this book as they landed in the past. Because they left 4 people behind and it was so emotional. Now that ending was almost as bad if not more so but I need to know what happens next lol. Back to the future witch version!!! This book left me shocked. That ending holy moon and stars! I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. There were a lot of grammar and spelling errors. That being said I really love this series. I oopsed and read Bettina's books first. It wasn't too confusing but made a lot more sense after reading Tegan's books. Even with editing issues, it didn't take away from the story lines. I really wish Emerson's books were a little longer though. This is a must series to read!!! I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. All's finally clear as to why Tegan did what she did. She's quickly forgiven but Ten doesn't make it easy for her. But of course, there's no time to deal with that because the Goddess sends them on a very important quest--to gather the elemental stones. From dragons to vampires to faes, they encounter a hodgepodge of creatures that test their bravery and deliver surprising deaths. It's a fun ride with this gang for sure but I just wished the author fleshed out some chapters a bit more. All's finally clear as to why Tegan did what she did. I just thought about something. White supremacist entitlement is so strong. Like I am sure the author of this series doesn’t think she is racist, but she decided that the genocide of an indigenous tribe was okay to include in her plot. These witches slaughtered a whole ass tribe! With all the magic, there was no other way? So, now I’m going to change all my ratings on her books.
