“Genuinely well written” is something that’s difficult to find in LitRPG at the moment. Matthew manages to wrangle some really fresh VR concepts whilst still creating 3D characters you can actually care about. No, it’s not perfect, but I’m giving 5 stars because this book successfully pushes the LitRPG frontier and does so with fine word-smithery.

Enjoyed the story and the world, confused as to why the book ended halfway through a story arc, its too short and unfinished. I bought half a book and thats frustrating. Like the characters, the writing could be streamlined slightly but thats personal taste. In all, an enjoyable but frustrating read
