I thought it was a shifter book about security guys and their stories, after awhile of reading I noticed it was a shifter one at all but couldn't put it down and so glad I didn't! The third story with Liam and the woman who went to prison for her husband's murder got me so bad omg I was terrified for her and what they did to her in prison and what her husband did to her omg broke my heart. The reader is not prepared for such harshness from the book's synopsis. I will give the author props for the thorough descriptions of the character's plights and bringing the terror to the reader, I just wish I was adequately prepared. The characters are well developed, the storylines engaging, the writing executed thoughtfully. These are great stories if you are prepared properly for the violence perpetrated on the characters and can overlook the political stance.
