Summer in Derbyshire brings a never ending stream of guests to Doveby House.  Janet and Joan Markham find themselves working harder than they’d ever expected when they bought the bed and breakfast.  While most of the guests have been pleasant, there have been enough difficult guests to make Janet wary whenever they are expecting new arrivals.

She and Joan are both relieved when their latest guests seem nearly perfect.  The quick arrival and departure of another couple who are considerably less amiable makes them feel as if they’re being quite lucky at the moment.
However, when a few small objects disappear from the local antique shop, they find themselves wondering whether their guests are as nice as they seem.  As more items go missing all around Doveby Dale, Janet and Joan find themselves caught up in yet another criminal investigation.

I am so glad that I discovered this series a while back. I generally save them for a quick read for challenges but I do enjoy the Markham sisters, perhaps because I have two sisters of my own and I can relate. Janet and Joan at the Doveby House find themselves in another situation, another fun little mystery to solve. At this B&B they find that not all of their guests are what they appear to be. I love the Camaraderie between the sisters.

I so enjoy visiting the Markham sisters at Doveby House. I also enjoy the fact that these mysteries are quick and clean- they aren't murder mysteries. I was wrong about whodunnit in this one but I was pleased with the result and enjoyed all the characters responses. I so enjoy visiting the Markham sisters at Doveby House. NONSENSICAL. By the author’s own intimation, emphasis now remains on completing the series alphabet rather than altering the same cut and paste format frequently presented. This particular book offers a very weak story that contains little if any mystery and is solved well before its end by a psychic cat communicating with someone who appears to have taken on similar abilities attributed to Dr Eliza Dolittle. Even the book’s title is as meaningless as the story contained within.

Better Better than the last one, but only marginally. Slow down please, perhaps if you took more time between publication dates these stories could be better. The endings are completely anticlimactic and detract from the entire story. These are fun, quick reads, but a little less quick and a little more fun would let this reader enjoy the Markham sisters more.

I really enjoyed this mystery This interesting mystery which starts as a letter to Bessie Cubbon in the Isle of Man is like catching up with old friends. I look forward to The Markham Sisters stories and Aunt Bessie mysteries. They are warm caring characters with various mysteries happening in their life.

To Catch a Thief Another good read from Diana Xarissa. A sweet little mystery without a body to find any place. Janet is not the only one stepping up her romance. Joan had an embarrassing moment as well.

Dull Poor storyline has nowhere to really go.. the same issues fall into this novel although it may well be the first time we haven't had the similarities between the sisters dropped in word for word.. Another fun installment This was a great little story. I enjoyed the new characters. I also loved the little surprise ending. I wish I could shop in William's shop. And eat in Ted and Todd's cafe. I find myself wanting to visit Doveby Dale more and more as I read this series. Another fun installment This was a great little story. I enjoyed the new characters. Very nice Kleptomania is a subject that many people have heard of but few understand the condition. Thanks for handling it so gently!

Not the best in this series. The mystery wasn't much and it all just seemed too easy. Not the best in this series. The mystery wasn't much and it all just seemed too easy.
